My guy don’t use clp on the spring. You don’t want to oil you mag springs as that is what causes powder to stick to it. Use a bore solvent that does not also Lubricate. It won’t hurt nothing but you will have to clean it so much more often if you use clp
Take your tool, put it into the hole. Timeless advice throughout the millennia.

PS Swap the extended plate from the 13 round mag onto the 15 round hellcat pro mag. Whammo 17 rounds for your hellcat pro

Do you know how to take apart the 15 round mag. I have been trying the same methods but no luck.

your audio is very low on your videos. I have to turn my speakers to max volume to be able to hear you, but barely.

Apparently, Springfield Armory has developed a new 10 round magazine for the Hellcat (since release of the RDP?). The "new" 10 round magazines do not have a "hole" through the baseplate - with which to disengage the baseplate... I'm trying to get information from Springfield on how to remove the "new"-style baseplate - -without damaging the magazine...
are the 15 rd hellcat mags compatible with both hellcats?
I’m not sure because I haven’t had the chance to try a hellcat pro. Sorry bro.

Is the plate necessary?
I would think the plate gives the spring support and stability.
I would say it is, because then it is possible that this can happen as with smaller mag th-cam.com/video/TI3iJdgJzrw/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for this!! I was at the range today shooting and the magazine randomly exploded it was terrifying I thought the gun exploded at first! I was sure something catastrophic happened it zinged my hand really good but I’m ok. I just reassembled the magazine somehow the assembly came loose when shooting hope it doesn’t happen again.
Hi Romanovskie, I'm glad to hear the video helped out. What happened sounds crazy. You might want to reach out to Springfield to let them know what happened. They would probably want to send you a new mag and ask for you to send the old one back to them. That way they can find out what happened so it doesn't happen to more people. This can happen with plastic floors, especially when the area holding it to the magazine is only 1mm thick. There are people manufacturing aluminum floors now, so it may be something to look into.
