Yess LUBE THEM!! It might take about a century but the THOCC is definitely worth it! Also another mod you can do to your keyboard is foam, (along with the tape of course).
lubing these particular switches doesn't change much, the factory lubing is so good that there's barely any difference in sound/feel
some tips (for low pitch/thocky sounding keyboard) :
- use 3 layers of tape mod
- use PE foam 0.5mm on top of your pcb (this is optional because it makes your switches sounds poppy and marbly but the cons is that any switch you use on PE foam will sound the same)
- try lubing 1 or 2 of your switches (you can use krytox 205g0 for bottom housing + stems and gpl105 for springs) and compare them to non lube, if you like the lubed version then lube all of them :)
- if you have some spare time, you can buy switch films for your switches using 0.15mm or 0.30mm (recommended brand : deskeys, tx films)
- mod your stabilizers (you can use permatex 22058), you can search many ways to mod it on yt, but personally i like the "holee mod"
- if you think your keyboard sounds "hollow", you can add eva foam 1mm or 2mm on your plate
i like your video its very calming, this "keyboard modding" thing will take a lot of time but its worth it, happy modding hehe

I will say try to use plate foam or case foam before taping or PE foaming the keyboard ,see which version do u like,since the PE foam will make every keyboard in the world sound the same.

lubing the switches can dramatically change the experience.. but it took me like 2 hours just doing a non-soldering method. And yes the Viper Ultimate shape works better my grip too
I think I'll try lubing the switches another day when I have a lot of time 😭
