One of my oldest gaming memories. 2004...I was 5 years old Discovered this at a community center with games for kids. I saw Mario 64 being played on the tv, but across the room 2 teenagers were using an emulator on an early 2000s desktop (I didn’t know what an emulator was or what Kirby was at the time) But I was blown away that this cool little round dude could copy so many abilities and how it had multiplayer! I had never seen multiplayer in a 2D platformer at this point. I still have the cartridge from when My mom bought it for me in GameStop a couple years later. TLDR this game was visual crack for me as a kid and one of the first video games I really wanted to play.
I wanna see a 2d Mario game take this open world approach, it would help it stand out now that the Mario Maker games kinda made 2d Mario a bit obsolete
I remember my brother leaving with my dad to go get groceries, then my brother coming back with this game in his hand. I remember when he would stop playing I'd play on his file and 100% it
Oh yeah also I saw kirby super star ultra commerical and I knew I had to get it so I begged my parents and we went to Walmart and I got the game. And they had this Wii kiosk and I brought my DS and did the DS transfer to play a free game demo omg it was the best
So while I was visiting my aunt in El Salvador i was watching a gameplay of Kirby and the amazing mirror and my cousin downloaded a emulator on my parents laptop so I could play it, And the whole day I was playing it and I thank him.
Played it as a kid. I would beg to go over to my cousins to play this game because my family couldn’t afford it. I should see if I can invest in it this time lol.
My husband just pulled out his gameboys, so I'm looking at the games here so I can figure out what I wanna play. 😂 I couldn't have one growing up, so I'm healing my inner child.
There is a move on master kirby that if you do a slide move (down + B) and then press Up+ B, you do the same upwards move that sword kirby does. You'll gain an invincibility frame on that attack.
Only played a bit of Kirby (borrowed) on the original GameBoy. The GBA version sure looks appealing. Maybe you should have upscaled it while recording to get better quality on TH-cam (240p seems to be unnecessarily low bitrate).

At the beginning of the game the other kirbys seem shy and keep at a distance, but after you get through the tutorial they get used to you lol
