I still have issues researching niches all that o think of -that are worth the time to research! If all the big niches are already taken (as a new pod) and we are told to “sub-niche” down…down…micro down and not be competitive enough to make sales…it gets us burnt out and stuck in research mode-how are we to pick a few niches! Short story how to find a niche? One says go in trends but then we are told we can’t break into big markets!
@@stacyosborn4537 if you’re selling on Shopify then going broad at first is smart. Broad in the way of 1 larger niche. For example, take sports it’s a large niche, a lot of people enjoy playing and watching sports we can then have designs around multiple sports like basketball, soccer, etc. once we do ads and some testing we can see what our audience is clicking and buying and then from their can niche down more. Hopefully this helps. Selling on Shopify we want to see other stores/sellers selling in our space. We don’t have the compete with any listings next to ours.
@@CorporateBusinessStore I look at Amazon, Etsy, Pinterest, and Google! I’m sure there are other tools to use to help see the size of an audience but I’ve never used them.
Great video again Meg. Can I ask, its one thing looking at good sellers on etsy and amazon because both sites effectively come with built in analytics (well, sales figures and revews). But how to research good sellers via google and shopify stores?
@@simonc4077 great question! I basically see what comes up on google (shopping at the top and top sites) depending on search it should give you some pretty good choices.
Hi, I'm semi-new and considering leaving Etsy for Shopify or Printify. Do you have an opinion which is better or a video on your recommendations? Thank you!
I have sold strictly on Shopify for the last 4.5 years. I would totally recommend Shopify because it gives you the freedom to control everything about your store and allow you to build an asset! If you are interested in learning more check out our FREE Skool community www.wescale.com/heckman

Super great advice. Did you mainly search directly on platforms like Amazon or Etsy or did you also use third party tools like Everbee?
