    Mey, I'm not sure how it affects searchability, but I read somewhere that you should put - dashes instead of spaces between words in the tags. Something about how their search function works supposedly. Great video! I love Society6 (but hate the long upload process 😅). I stick with it though because the quality has always been so worth it.

      @@MeyTribe yes, but only with one design, one of my coloured mandalas. I know, more would be better, but I wanted to try it out 😂 I was prepared well thanks to your tutorial and didn’t find the upload time that awful long. Maybe that will change when I upload new designs in the future. First of all I want to order a sample to decide if the resolution of the mandalas are high enough. I experimented a bit with affinity Designer to get a higher solution. Looks fine on the fotos, but a sample would be much nicer.

    I have to be honest, I haven't uploaded to S6 for a while. I have fast internet and I still find it so very time consuming to complete the process for one design!! Mind you I have some beach towel designs that I want to order for the summer, so will have to get back to it soon. I tend to upload when I have some free time and can just sit and watch tv while everything processes. 🙂

    • @MeyTribe
      @MeyTribe  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have been super slow with uploading as well... takes me about 15-20 minutes per each design (to take the original file, make a pattern for the various larger sizes on CSP, and adapting to the products)- and lately there have been major internet problems where I live... With some evenings with 3-5 mb speed :(
      I think that I will def be uploading more next week, moving to a new apartment, as well as the cold will calm a bit so I can go to a coworking space with 250 mb speed

    • @fatrobinbooks754
      @fatrobinbooks754 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I use Canva, started Society6. Just did 5000 x 5000 px and downloaded by 2.0 covered everything pretty much so had no additional enabling.

    • @MeyTribe
      @MeyTribe  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yup, that can work... BUT- you need to make sure that the original files used can fit that!
      If you use graphic elements on a Canva design- making the design bigger can cause these elements to become blurry on large items- which you will not see in your computer. You have to know the maximum size of the art you're enlarging.

    Hi Mey, agree about the zero analytics - its 21st century everything is about analytics. I gave up after a couple of months last year as I didn't have fast internet. last 5 months have fast internet and its just about OK. I've made some sales and so far have done zero marketing just relying on the Title & Tags to bring traffic. S6 is good in that unlike RB (a spammers delight) the number of Tags is limited to 20 and only 20 characters each.

    • @MeyTribe
      @MeyTribe  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    what happens when you are using Canva as your digital design tool? Am I screwed?

    • @MeyTribe
      @MeyTribe  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, ATM Canva cannot make files that are big enough for S6.... So you'll need to find a different design tool, or just upload smaller pieces of art that wouldn't fit all products.
      Other platforms, like Zazzle, allows for tiling effects, which allows you to upload a 5000x5000 pixels seamless pattern and multiply it on a product. (so are suppliers like Printful)

      I don't think its just about style, its also about site itself seller promotion (and sometimes shadow banning), for example on redbubble I have 3 stores and most sales I get from first and the oldest one (even thought images there are not the best) and its always same set of images (again not the best ones in my opinion) because those are the images redbubble algorithm historically (and until today) pushes up in search results. Regarding images on Society 6 I'm aware that its different, I think I ay need to remove some of my old images, and review overall what I have there, I have large collection of images as you can imagine, I make print on demand close to 15 years now. But never treated it as full time job, most like additional income, I have a regular job and side photography business, also I paint, so online content I create and post in spare time - which is not much.

      @@CrystalNouveauC I get more sales without having to do much marketing from Teepublic, since I had a very nice Pinterest account for it. And starting to structure several shops on Zazzle to start promoting them, and getting some sales before that.
      All of these are marketplaces, they do not integrate with shopify.
