Welcome to Command & Conquer Remastered! Today's video is aimed to help you get up to speed with learning the basic gameplay features before you play the CNC Remastered Collection! It is important to note that almost every feature discussed in this Command & Conquer guide can be utilized in both Tiberian Dawn Remastered and Red Alert Remastered, too! This guide will show you the basics of what you can expect from both Command & Conquer titles in this first batch of Remastered games.
Command & Conquer Remastered launches today, June 5th, 2020 worldwide. The game was a conglomeration between EA and Petroglyph games, made up in part by some of the former Westwood Studios developers that created the C&C franchise! Command and Conquer was originally launched in 1995, and Red Alert 1 in 1996. I personally became involved with the Command & Conquer Remastered collection's reboot of Command & Conquer and Red Alert in November of 2018 as a member of what would become the Community Council.

Speaking of the map editor. What's the square meterage of an individual map cell?
The only thing close to an answer to that might lie in the fact speeds are defined as "MPH". The light and medium tank's speeds are defined as
"MPH_MEDIUM", with value 18, which could mean they are meant to travel at 18 miles per hour.
So, set the game speed to the original speed the game was designed for (which is actually below the Remaster's default speed; to really pinpoint it, find the speed at which Red Alert's in-game mission timer counts down per one second correctly), and time a tank crossing a specific amount of cells, and you might find the answer.

Could you cover some of the AI or micro for the game? I'm struggling since I'm not used to it and it seems really different from other RTS. I sent in 5-6 subs to attack 2 destroyers, all my subs were wiped and 1 destroyer remain. Or in some hard campaings I send in 5-6 rifleman to attack 2 rifleman and mine all die before they start shooting.
Destroyers are pretty good counters to Subs, as Soviets you either want to avoid them, catch them with mass Rocket Infantry on a coast, or engage with a *vastly* superior number of subs.
In the campaigns, the difficulty modifier changes the AI's damage output, so that on Hard mode 1 of their rifle infantry will significantly outdamage 1 of the player's.

I hope that the Red Alert 2 installer does a similar piss-take at the CD key portion like the network address portions of Dawn and Red Alert.

Bro, first of all , you can't play mods online with your friends. Also I didn't pay for this game for only new resolutions and new music that I dont even listen to. People need new stuff such as new units (redalert) more money 10000 is not enough at all. Fast gold genraters ... and more stuff.........
Please if you can deliver this message do it because a chunk of new players looking for something new not only the remastering. If they don't that , the game eventually will day because it is getting boring.
