Thank you for making these videos. Thank God you're and your family are ok. I'm so, so sorry for every single person who went through this horrible disaster. God be with you all. 🫂🙏🏻
When you say God be with you, who do you mean. Do you mean that Christian Impostor Papist Created causer of hate and the apocalypes. Matthew 10:34 "34 Do not think that I came to send peace upon earth: I came not to send peace, but the sword. 35 For I came to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. 36 And a man's enemies shall be they of his own household. 37 He that loveth father or mother more than me, is not worthy of me; and he that loveth son or daughter more than me, is not worthy of me". If your house is on fire then call the fire brigade and do not bother waiting for Iesus. That is my recommendation. I can assure you right now that if there is a Hurricane disater on the horizen and approaching. Then that supposed Lord Insus Christos will not be stopping it or saving people. Iesus is just not about saving people. Not unless you think suicide is payment for the sins, crimes and terrible misdeeds of others. IE he supposedly died to pay for mankind sins. But sadly it did not work in his time and it has not worked for the last 1991 years since the cruzifixion. As the people, or the Law courts or victims may still want their fee or restitution.
The scenes from the former Clinchfield are beyond belief! Of course none of the rail related things are as dire as the human side of this! My wife and I bought a carload of items and took them to our church today, and in the few days they’ve had a 55’ trailer on site for disaster relief, it’s nearly full. And so many churches and organizations in my area (Lexington, NC) are doing likewise with similar results! We all want to help in some way, but not sure how, other than donations and prayers! On the rail side of things, a friend who works for NS tells me that the so called “loops” area of NS is supposedly washed away, and that NS is saying it’s doubtful that they’ll repair the damage. I know people say that the NCRR wants to establish passenger service between Salisbury and Asheville, but that makes no difference to NS! Most probable scenarios would be either selling at least that part of the S-Line to the NCRR, or getting the state to front most of the repair costs. NS spent millions on the loops trying to stabilize the roadbed, but it evidently didn’t make much difference! The disappearance of coal and the closure of the paper mill at Canton were nails in the coffin of the S-Line, but I guess Mother Nature drove the final one! Thanks for taking the time and effort to shoot all this drone footage, edit and post it! Not sure where you call home, but I hope you got out unscathed!
From what ive heard NS wants to have the AS line open by January but for the loops they may be gone forever unless the North Carolina funds NS to rebuild for passenger service or they buy the tracks and do it themselves. Ive also heard that the the typography of the loops might be so different now from land slides that rebuilding would basically require creating a whole new rout though the area
@ There’s been a lot of drone videos of the damage to CSX’s Blue Ridge sub in the Nolichucky gorge on TH-cam, but I’ve seen nothing about the NS loops! CSX has already started a massive rebuilding effort, and a priority is evidently getting the 5 span bridge at Poplar put back in! Many parts of that line are totally gone, and nothing but high vertical rock cliffs remain. The NS loops are, and have been since it was built, plagued by unstable ground, a liability that also exist’s on the Saluda grade. The loops might be facing the same fate as Saluda, which is a term NS calls “Rail Banking”. Simply put, rail banking keeps ownership of a rail line without outright abandonment. Parts of the Saluda line are badly washed out with track hanging high in the air, the supporting ground long ago washed away, but if it was deemed necessary, they could repair it and begin running trains again! That’s a long shot in 2024 though!
Recovery and rebuilding will take years. Moving out is a painful but maybe necessary decision for some. Elections are coming. Get buses, organize your neighbors and vote. Demand money from the government, politicians, representatives and senators.

My town.. my Hometown 😢😢
Praying for you and every one of our little towns impacted🙏
I cant even believe my eyes 😢
It’s almost unwatchable.
So devastating..

Lifting up prayers for all those impacted in North Carolina and Tennessee. This is just awful. God bless them all.
Think of how strong train tracks are and look at these
Its absolutely insane what water can do.
Would ne nice to have subtitles of what towns and along what street these views are from.
@@28704joe there are subtitles showing each town.
@@blueridgerails OK, Thank you, I see the brief display now.
All those buildings by the river should probably not be rebuilt. Anything lower than 200' from the river bed is no longer a viable building option.

It just goes to show you you shouldn't build houses on a cheap Lumber
When you have a 1,000 year flood it doesn’t matter what you build with. Literacy is your friend.
Show us how uneducated you are. This flood washed away concrete and steel bridges and buildings.
You do know that concrete and steel structures were swept away by the flood?
