Glad your not scrapping the station side as I drove past it yesterday and every time a drive back to Tiverton it always reminds me of you fantastic detail. Good luck to you sir. I've been in that situation several times and it's a strain. However each time a new layout has emerged. With the latest move we found lots of damp hidden away in the shed on top of what had been experienced and repaired. Stressful to burn all the baseboards but totally worth it long term.

Cheers chap. My drive towards getting this up and running is somewhat higher than the current slog in the loft.
It's been something that I've wanted to do for some while now, ever since I suprised myself how realistic I can do things! And I often wing it lol.
Getting laira out in the circuit is going to be something else, having the ability to let people see the detail I have planned in person is something I'm really looking forward to, I really want to wow people and I hope it does.
Exeter continues for now and its looking unlikely it'll come out in any usable condition, that said I'd sooner start that afresh in the future.
Hi Tim sorry that I missed this as a premiere. Neighbour's eh! But every cloud has a silver lining and for us we get to see you build an exhibition layout, it's a pity about the layout that's gone but as you've said it has problems on the incline and the loft isn't the best environment. Be a shame not to see this completed in the loft but I'd be mad not to come and see Laira on the exhibition circuit, your plan for it sounds amazing, and I think your right it will bring the crowds in.

My goodness, dont do that. Your last video worried the hell out of me, I just wondered what the hell was going on.
So thankyou for the quick update and I am so sorry that you have got to move because of the neighbours. In my old job I had many calls to domestics of that nature. I never could resolve them and you always feel sorry for one of them but you are powerless.
I would love to have a neighbour like you, some people dont realise they are so lucky but then some people are just arseholes.
I fully understand what you mean about having a layout in the attic, I have no choice so I will be going all out to fully insulate and plaster board it out so I can use it all year round. Not going to be cheap even if I am doing it myself.
The bridge is fantastic, not surprised though.

Wasn't an easy decision to make, my wife suggested it in brief about moving the summer of last year bit I shrugged it off.. she was gobsmacked when I finally flipped the tables and said I'm done and want out.
It was tough to get back to the loft knowing I ripped out Laira back in February before I decided to speed the moving up. That was the biggest kick in the teeth, bad timing.

Hello, I am writing to you from Madrid, very good job the whole model, I wanted to ask you a question, the tones of the embossing of the bridge are fantastic, you would be so kind to tell me the colors you have used, thank you very much.
Shame about the Exeter St David's Layout but its been very enjoyable with lots of tips and Ideas cant wait for the Lara layout hopefully the Exeter layout will be back soon such a lot of work went into it . why cant you get rid of the Neighbours LOL why did you chose the location is it as you are local.

Hi Tim, I remembered you saying a while ago about moving house but I didn't realise the reason why. You have my sympathy as there's nothing worse then neighbours from hell. My father in-law has some drug dealers next door and they are an absolute nightmare. Anyway, I'm super excited to hear your going on the exhibition scene :). It would be nice to meet you and see your work in person. I've got one question from your video. You said your not doing a tutorial on the landscape which is fair enough as it takes a lot of time creating the videos and it's nice to sometimes just get on with it. But are you going to still do tutorials on painting and weathering effects of rolling stock/loco's etc? I love seeing the results you achieve. If you don't want to then that's understandable, but I was just wondering.

Thanks. Yep I really struggle to work out how these people tick, what pleasure do people get from making everyone's lives around them a misery, who knows.
The weathering stuff will continue as normal as the filming process is easier than layout scenics etc.
I like to ballance the both so I'll do a big build run on the layout then break from that to weather up some stuff..
The layout has my focus for the next couple of weeks then back to a dash of weathering, that will produce a video of some new stuff I've tested recently.
What backscenes did you use
They were from Art printers (ID Backscenes)
Sad. You shouldn't be forced to move because those dastardly neighbours. You should sue them if they intentionally harass you and make them answer for it in court if need be ! A friend of mine in Belgium had the same problem but he filed several complaints with the police and now his harassing neighbours are forced to stop harassing them or they'll face eviction as they'll be forced not to be in an area of 10 km around my friend's house!!! And that quieted them obviously! So I would advise you to use all legal options to make your rights respected.
No you're right and we stood our ground over the last few years. We logged plenty with the police aswell as many other avenues. I'm at the end of my tether and if I'm honest I don't enjoy the whole village we live in as a result. If they bang a for sale sign up I'd still be moving.. the damage is done sadly.
@@thescrapline4905 so sad... I hope you'll find a better community this time around, and we'll wait for the nice exhibition layout to appear. But instead of selling it, why not plan your home layout to integrate those exhibition layouts ? I plan a N scale one, and hope to integrate later il a bigger layout as a branch line station (I even have the added constraint of having to plan around being in a wheelchair due to severe back problems)
If you can afford it buy a Detached House on its own by it self.
Or very high Fencing.
And if possible a stand alone train room not an Attic
