I dont rep brands at all, however iFixit os my exception. the stuff your accomplishing is huge for our industry, and your resources have certainly helped me and my business. Massive thanks to the entire team
What about framework and fairphone? Their goals seems to align
Never thought I'd intentionally click on a 7-minute ad. The only thing I regret about buying one of their toolkits is not having gotten it sooner. A company that is all about users repairing their own devices gets a vote with my wallet.
Can't believe I got my 54 bit kit with the clear case 10 years ago! Still going strong despite having broken a bit, I couldn't have amortized a single piece of hardware more than this 💜💜
Use my iFixit toolkit everyday as a dad and a regular person who wants their things to keep working. Bought a smaller one for my 7yr old that he’s always using to change batteries 😊
Thank you for chapters
Thank you for 60FPS
Happy 10Th
I invested in one of your pro tech kits a few years ago when my wife was complaining that her phone kept running out of battery halfway through the work day. The whole thing is so well thought out. Best tool investment I've ever made. I've since used it to do maintenance and repair work on lots of gadgets around the house.
I still use my iFixit 54 bit toolkit to this day and have a smaller iFixit electronics repair toolkit as well I use hand in hand that most recently I've used to help me pull apart my laptop to replace the battery. Excited to see what the future holds for iFixit :)
Bro I got my work to buy me a business repair kit. Super excited. Y'all have been killing it for a while now
Ifixit has become a goto place for getting really well written out documentation about nearly every device. Warning where things can go wrong, so you know what to look out for. Plus an amazing range of tools and parts that makes fixing stuff easy. No matter how old, or obscure. The protech toolkit is a daily carry for me. Even not being a repair technician, those tools are being used almost every single day.
I still have the 54-bits kit with plastic case bought from iFixit store on Amazon in 2015. It took me several weeks to get hands-on as I bought through a proxy buyer, since Amazon does not officially ship to my country. The kit is still great today, even after more than 8 years (although some bits are getting corrosive due to warm and moisture environment) 😄
I used your IFIXIT kit which included the SSD yesterday to replace my Fusion Drive on my 2017 5K iMac. It took me just under 2 hours,(including a coffee break). It went back together as if it had never been opened. If a 71 year old like me can do it, anyone can. I’d like to praise your product.
Just bought the $75 Repair tool kit and a $16 USB-C board to repair busted ports on an M1 MacBook Air I got off FaceBook Marketplace for $300. Just under $400 got my mother-in-law a fully functional notebook that Apple still sells for $900-1000! Ifixit tools already more than paid for themselves and now I can dig into all kinds of other projects! Absolutely love the magnetic driver set and the sorting area in the cover is very helpful! Everything wraps up into a nice little bundle in a drawer!
I still have your first kits and use it every other week. 👍🏿😷👍🏻🇨🇦🇵🇭🇺🇲
Thank you Brett & Andrew! I absolutely admire the tools that you build and the work you do to bring them to fruition! Your tools, all of them, really show that they come from a culture of repair! Your Precision Cleaning Kit, for example, is obviously designed by people who use them and understands how to use them well! I buy a couple every now-and-again to keep on-hand for those times that I will certainly need it. The following is an ideal example as to why I trust in your tools and exclusively recommend them:
I recently had a faulty legacy 30-Pin to USB cable literally start to cook an original U2 Special Edition, 5th Generation iPod Video, in mint condition [of course!] When I realized where the smell was coming from, I immediately pulled the cable, but the face plate plastic started to bubble by the power circuitry! I got my hands on a new face plate and even-though the iPod was somehow still working, charging even, I honestly thought that I was going to have a bit of reflow work to do at minimum! Well, once opened, I realized that the solder miraculously looked fine, now, what’s the odds of that?! My guess is that it quickly “reflowed itself” when it massively overheated! The Precision Cleaning Kit along with A LOT of IPA 99%, and some very delicate cleaning got the board looking almost new! There was melted plastic on the board and a couple of ICs, but it was brittle enough to come off without damaging any pads or the like! The nasty carbon buildup and remnants of burned plastic finally came off, but including the DeoxIT in the kit was a very nice touch to finish-up the board and to ensure good electrical conductivity moving forward. I repaired a few other small things while in there as it is old and needed a bit of double-sided tape to better hold the foam to the original hard drive and rails, and some Kapton tape allowed me to replace any old tape that was no longer in its prime as they say.
Ultimately, I used my Pro Kit with Mako Bits to open it up and remove the hard drive. Sure, these kits cost a bit more than you would spend on a “similar” item online, but in reality they wouldn’t be so “similar!” You are literally paying for quality and innovation, along with a company that one would be a fool not to support! The story of Andrew filing down the bit to make a smaller one is exactly the kind of innovation that I’m personally proud to support. I am often on a couple of repair Subreddits, and though parts are fairly easy to source, YOU are my ONLY RECOMMENDATION for tools! IMHO, nothing else compares, and the proof is in how well it stands-up through repair-after-repair!
Keep up the outstanding work! ✌
Thanks iFixit. I have two of your kits and they always come in handy when I’ve had to open up my computers and upgrade the memory and storage on them as well as cleaning the fans etc. So convenient to have many types of screws available.
I got an essentials repair kit about 2 years ago, and since then i have fixed an ipad air 5, an xbox one, a ps4, a joycon, a pair of headphones, a mouse, serveral laptops, and several Chromebooks for my business. Ifixit is a lot of the reason ive been able to do this. These great tools have let me fix so many things, and mkre to come.
I'm a long time fan and customer and watching this little film I'm reminded yet again what a fantastic company iFixit is. These chaps in the video seem very nice people too!
10 years and may there be more to come. 🌠 Thank you for creating awesome and innovative tools. 🤓
I bought a mako kit I think 5 years ago. Still is my go-to kit when I need to open something. I don't think I will need another one in additional 10 years. Love your products ❤
thank you for existing because I remember fixing random stuff than I herd about your products and purchased one and never went back.
Thank you for the videos and the tools.
Awesome job by ifix it team!
Thank you iFixIt to kept me updated during my repairs (and to sold me amazing tools)
Your kits have gotten me out of many a jam. Thanks for all you do.
I picked up a fresh battery and an essentials repair kit awhile back and watched a Dankpods video to fix up my old iPod Third Gen. Thank you for making good tools and having a good ethos behind them.
I like the Bosch bit holders that swing out one at a time.
Ifixit is single handedly the best resource for the DIY’er. Absolute best breakdowns.
you mean teardowns, eh
At around 5:25 the old logo suddenly took me on a flashback. I didn't realise it but it looks like I have known and seen your products since the very first 54 bit kit! Been a long time!
Thanks for your work 😀 I use my (apparently first generation) screwdriver kit from y'all probably once a month and I've re-sharpened my spudgers more than once 🙂.
IFixit's tools ended up being the main tools I use on my motorcycle when I dont need a wrench.
Muchas gracias, me han ayudado a resolver muchos problemas técnicos.
We need you guys here in Brasil!
Thanks Ifixit , i always using your Mako tools , its high quality in bits of screw & the high quality case 😍
I recently bought some Macbook's batteries from iFixit and one of them came with the tools. Just awesome. They are really good and works perfectly. Also the parts works without a problem and that's the reason that i will buy to iFixit if need.
Had a few screwdrivers and my small ifixit screwdriver is perfect and the parts are incredibly well made and strong! I want the pro kit
When I started repairing i had nothing and was not sure what to get. So my first purchase was iFixit kit and still use it 3 years later.
My dream tools
Nice one you guys are doing great 👍
DSefinitely rate Ifixit's tools - I have the Manta screwdriver set and it is very high quality. Would probably go back to Ifixit for more tools as required.
iFixit is so respectable for giving us the tools to repair right while we don't have the right to repair.
Thanks iFixit, I learnt that I can use a bag of rice, will probably put it in a sock or something
Ur stuff is expensive but well worth it
Well, the only thing missing is a so called ratchet screw wrench, ie. to be able to fasten or tighten screws at particular unaccessible locations. Just happened to me when trying to fasten a radiator fan, where there was only about 4 - 5 cm space between the fan and the PSU. NO chance to get a regular screw driver in there, but the ratchet mini screw driver / wrench I ordered from elsewhere took care of that issue.
Could be easy to just be able to reuse the existing bits and then plopp them right into the "screw wrench" socket.
Fix the planet!!
I would love to see the mako toolkit but with an additional 4mm driver.
Don't you have a video on the Fixmat specifically?
Altho your products are great, your bits can get shredded easily sometimes

Good video
Would love to get shipping to Asia. Hard to get good quality OEM batteries for products more than a decade old.
Second!
Do we get now any gift from iFixit? haha 😂
But guys thanks for these awesome tools! 😍
How can I get the toolkit am in Ghana
Sales tools in Brazil?
❤❤❤
iFixit should sell spludgers by the bag
The sad thing is that the reason tools have to keep evolving is because big companies work tirelessly to make it harder to repair their products.
How can law allow this????
i fix it helped me to safe thousands in repair every i fix it tool that i bought is multiple time payd of
@ifixityourself Please lower the prices of repair kits in India, they are too costly on Amazon, like the most basic kit is 150usd +. If the rates are reasonable, more people will buy it.😊
🤗❤️
Oh Yeah 10 years
Hi
I was about to order the precision screwdriver set until I watched an unboxing video, and saw the poster with the communist fist logo on it.
I then found that you can get the exact same kit minus the ifixit branding for half the price, which is pretty ironic when you think about it.
please set up in new zealand 😭😭🙏🙏🙏
first lol
it's always iShit Crapple products that give u some problems when u try to disassemble them.
I really like your Videos, but to my German People, i only say one thing: BastiGHG
Дай бог придуркам здоровья,
)))
You should invite Steve from Tronixfix to give you an interview about the tools, since he use them in every video.
