    These type info details help me so much. I also enjoy getting close ups of the flowers. Once I plant stuff I have a hard time distinguish ing between so many things at the beginning. It's amazing how many things look alike!

      Agreed … it’s taken a few years for me to be able to identify different seedlings because they all look so similar in the beginning.

    Saw your seed packet storage boxes on the shelf behind you. I also use mine like you do, to raise seedlings up closer to the lights. I grew some red celosia from seed this year. They are so pretty in the garden and my containers.

    Didn’t know much about these but I like them. A friend gave me some starts 3 years ago and they just keep popping back up. So easy! 😁 Ans they are such brilliant, bright colors.

    I do enjoy videos like this as it gives me the opportunity to learn about different varieties that I wasn’t aware of. I’ll be heading over to Baker’s Creek to look for some of the seeds you described.😊

    I would love a video on amaranth. First time growing somewhat successfully. Curious if I should pinch or not. Love these videos. So helpful. This is my first year focusing on flowers and a cutting garden.

      Yes, you should pinch! Pinch above two sets of two leaves! It’s usually about 6-8 inches in height. However, if you don’t pinch, it’s not the end of the world, you will just have one gorgeous and large bloom!

      @shesamadgardener Good morning 🌞. I had just bought a tray of bright fuchsia Celosia and they are only about an inch tall, but they were the cutest, most peculiar Lil flower I'd ever seen 😁

    Hi there, love your videos. Quick question, what is the spiky filler flower in your pics of celosia arrangements. I used to live in Texas and the flower is familiar but for for the life of me I can’t think of the name. I remember it has a very distinctive smell as well. You used the same spike in the arrangement pics for your zinnia video as well….

      Can you tell me at what time the flower appears in the video?

      Around 8:21. It’s the green spike, looks like cress, maybe. Thanks so much

    Do you ever put your seedlings outside like under a covered porch instead of under grow lights? In January and February I had some under grow lights and on a heat mat, but after March I just started putting them outdoors to germinate. I'm just wondering if you have tried it both ways and which way you find more successful. I have always loved the cocks comb but have been weary of growing it because of the reseeding. I never thought about removing the blooms before going to seed... I'll have to give them another go :)

    • @shesamadgardener
      @shesamadgardener  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! My issue with starting them outside is the inconsistent temps and my forgetfulness for watering.
