  • Today I’m sowing Celosia. I’ve chosen so many great varieties, including some beautiful mixes for wonderful splashes of bright summery colour right through to Autumn. Celosia comes in so many wonderful shapes and colours; I am so excited to see what I can grow this season.

      That is awesome! Hi Anne. Thank you for joining me. Amazing to hear from someone in Ohio 👋🏼. I just adore growing plants from seed - you've definitely got a lot more experience than me but I love to learn and I'm on a mission to start even more hardy perennials from seed this year.

    Great information, now I know that the Cockscomb I've been sold is actually a Celosia Spicata

    Wow, once again I marvel that you try out so many different varieties! Are you trialling them and seeing what you like with a view to streamlining next year? My three varieties now seem very unadventurous. Mind you, I was rather startled in the beginning when you said Celosia takes 90-120 days to germinate!

    • @cottoverdi
      @cottoverdi  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh my goodness! Is that what I said?!!! I meant that it's 90 - 120 days to flower!! What an idiot I am 🤪 Sorry for the confusion...😬

      @@cottoverdi I think we will all know what you mean. There was a lot of information in that video (much of it new to me-thank you) and these things happen. I did have a moment of mild panic though!

      Hi there, hope you get a wonderful crop. Please check your seed packet for spacing because there are many varieties and they can grow differently.

      😆 yes, I mis-spoke but it was too late to edit the video when I realised. I was talking about days from germination to bloom!

    Thank you Annette. Very interesting flowers. But if l'm truthful the ones like brains are not for me. The feather like ones are better. I love the fact you show us so many varieties of flowers. It must be wonderful having a dedicated flower garden beds. 🦋🐞🐝🌷🪴

      Thanks Penelope. Yes, the brain ones do look odd but they can make a stunning addition to arrangements - I can't wait to see what I can create with them this year. 💐😁
