Wow, this is a total game changer for outdoor lifestyle shoots. I would definitely utilize the AD300 Pro with the RFT 17 + UB 130 to fill in shadows on hard sunlight to give my pictures a editorial professional look. Great video, very informative, and great ecosystem.

My favorite one light setup hands down especially when I travel abroad and make TH-cam photography content!

I liked the parabolic umbrella with the diffusion layer. The light seem so soft.

Very nice demonstration Mr. Aries Tao! Even if one has to start with just one strobe and standard reflector the posibilities to improve ones images are great. Thank you for all the content you make for us all learn from!

The use of the translucent umbrella to fill in shadows is just spot on for me. This would be brilliant for studio and/or portrait photography. Lovely images, Tao and Vlada! ❤

For me the most interesting technique from Taos Video was the one with the barn doors. It really combined perfectly and high contrast enviroment photo with a well spot lit portrait type photo. Great combination in my opinion.

The one using the parabolic umbrella would be a nice technique, and apply a diffuser, this will reflect the a soft light to the subject and can be diffussed to make it softer and create a skin glow of the model.

Most of the times I would probably use it with my UB 130 S reflective umbrella with diffuser because I LOVE its versatility and the type of light this modifier provides. 😍😍😍
I have to say, though, that the barn door solution has tickled my curiosity...... I would experiment with it with great pleasure, too! 😄🥰

The method that resonated with me the most was using it for soft light. This what I try to do in my outdoor shoots. The AD300pro is versatile and easy to carry around. #AD300pro

I use an umbrella, either reflective or shoot-through, as I don't like harsh shadows. However, if it's black-and-white, using it without a modifier gives a good look. Next on my wish list is a parabolic with diffuser.

Setup #4 cloudy day fill looks natural and would be the technique I would use most. Nature is so unpredictable. This would give my shots consistency and look more professional.

If i was using it i would have pick the 4 way to use it, by using it with the shoot through umbrella . Cause for both indoor or outside it gives you both option to fill in shadows or by feathering you can deepen the shadow and can even still use it as a soften sun spot light when needed. Plus i see the using them both together to even do a Hollywood glam lighting like in the 40’s with a soft spot feel

I've been using the AD300 since it came out for 90% of my shoots. I like using it with a 7" reflector (mostly) at the beach & outdoors during the day. I also use a small soft box or beauty dish. I use it in the studio with a medium soft box. I just bought the Bowens adapter so now I dont even have to take that (stupid) bulky S2 bracket with me.

Is there a setting that would keep the flash from firing? Added new bulbs and the flash beeps but does not fire. It has fired in the past. Happening on two 300 pros.

Hi If the lamp is installed in place and still can not flash, there may be a problem with the lamp head contact, it is recommended to contact the seller to repair.

Edit: Actually it's the "Godox light foldable light stand 213B" I searched for LA-300 and a different light stand came out, but the 213B appeared next to it which is what exactly was used in the video. Anyhow, thank you for your response.
