  • Here are 7 things that Christians just need to stop saying. As I listen to many Christians talk, we sound more and more like the world. We use words and phrases that they use and there is often times not real distinction between what we say and what they say. In this video I provide 7 very common things that Christians say that I would encourage us to rethink and instead, say something else! Let me know your thoughts below!

      Thank you Allen. One thing I would like to point out with love and respect is you said to change “good luck” for “I wish you the best”. I believe you should use the word Hope instead of wish. To wish means
      -to have a desire for something, such as something unattainable- which is similar to saying “good luck”. Hope is a much better way to express your feelings. GOD bless you keep up the good work.

      Hey, how are you sir.. I've been following your videos for the past few weeks and I really enjoy it.. Ton of knowledge and it is backed up by scripture and not just your opinion... Hard to find that combination nowadays!!!
      My question is, what are your thoughts about the teaching on the spirit of Jezebel? Now I've studied this for a couple of years now and one scripture that stood out to me was
      Ecclesiastes 12:7
      Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
      With this scripture being said, how is it possible God allowed Jezebl to be mauled by the dogs correct? She died in the flesh but her spirit still roam the earth wreaking havoc? If that is the case, every evil man and or woman whether they were mentioned in the Bible or not, when they die they spirit is still roaming and they still are allowed to do the same evil they were doing prior to dying.. Right? To teach on the spirit of Jezebel contradicts a lot of scripture, right? I mean Jezebel had a ton of characteristics of almost every demonic unclean spirit there is. These unclean spirits that influenced Jezebel have been around way before man.. So, there is no way possible that her spirit is still around when the above scripture clearly tells us that her body returned to the dust "hence the orginal man created was created from dust which was Adam" and the spirit returns to God whom gave it.. Her spirit went before the Lord to be judged and body laid where it was, or whatever was leftover of it.. The unclean spirits that influenced her are the spirits that are still roaming not her spirit, right or wrong? I've even heard people say the spirt of Ahab, the spirit of Herod. The Abraham spirit, the spirit of Joseph etc.. The list goes on

      @vivianaaguilera6881 5 ปีที่แล้ว +69

      LouisFGraham There's a difference, in one case you reap what you sow and in other satan tried to test Job and God allowed it...BUT if you think about it even in the hard moments Job was going through, he still didn't blaspheme the Lord's name which is what satan wanted...even in difficult times he was sowing his faith and did not turn away from God and in the end he reaped twice as much as what he had in the beginning...God honors those who honor him! :) I hope you understand this explanation

      saved oh sis trust the Lord and have faith! You're single, beautiful, love the Lord, and no kids! Enjoy this time and still keep that desire for marriage at the same time! Start working on forgiveness, humbleness, and communication because you'll need it when God sends that husband. Even Allen wasn't married until he was 40. Stay faithful and become frustrated. Cry. Then laugh, then complain and then ask for forgiveness and do it all over again. Of course I'm not literally telling you do these things in this order but I know how you feel because I was there 2 years ago and I'm still there now even though I've been in a 2 year godly relationship. Now I'm frustrated that he didn't propose yet lol so even after a relationship, it'll be another reason Satan tries to steal your joy but God is faithful even when we're not. So I just lean on Him at all times. And that's the best thing we can do along with a lot of prayer of course

      Miranda Loves Food Great point. Someone’s awareness of God’s meticulous understanding of their heart should not be lead to passivity or complacency about sinful behavior but growing guilt as they begin to understand the implications.
      Every man’s way is right in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs the hearts.

      For when Gentiles who do not have the Law do instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves, in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them, on the day when, according to my gospel, *God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus*

      Well to be fair, your words aren't the problem. It's the meaning behind them. Understanding that that phrase originated from the bible in the first place makes it perfectly fine to say. In fact, it can be good to say that. Jesus died for us because he loved us so much that even after being tortured by us he still asked God to forgive us. So if something is to die for it must mean it's really good. And that's it haha you dont have to analyze everything you say. Analyze your motive for saying it

So, if Matthew 18:9 says : and if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than have two eyes and be cast into hell fire., A lot of "US" 😀, would be without one , or two physical eyes 😁. We must PRAY and SEEK the LORD in SPIRIT and TRUTH, not just theology of knowledge, wisdom is the principal thing. May the MOST HIGH Bless your study.😁

      For while we were *still helpless* , at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

      Nathan Pierce and Michael. I am not debating or arguing against the need for personal responsibility. But if you take your positions as a universal statement about the character of God then you would have to throw out God’s work of redemption of lost sinners. Remember one of brother’s Allen points in this video is that God does not give us what we deserve; we all deserve justice NOT mercy and grace. Are you providing biblical responses about the character of God or simply pragmatic responses?
      But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

    Great video! Praise Jesus!
    “But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. Those people belong to this world, so they speak from the world’s viewpoint, and the world listens to them. But we belong to God, and those who know God listen to us. If they do not belong to God, they do not listen to us. That is how we know if someone has the Spirit of truth or the spirit of deception.”

    Another honorable mention is "cleanliness is next to holiness" and I used to say this because my Mom says it but my friend who also is a Christian said to me that if there was a Homeless man who knew about God or anyone else with less fortune would God not love them. God loves every single thing ever since he created it. Thank you Jesus for everything you do all the time.

    My pastor taught a service similar to this. Another one he mentioned was OMG. We are not to take the Lords name in vain. Goodness, that hit me right between my eyes when I saw how many times I had done that. I’d even say Mary, Jesus & Joseph in horrific situations. I realized how much I’d say without thinking.
    I love listening to you & have been binging in my rest times. Thank you Allen for listening to the Father. Blessings.

    When I say 'let me pray about it', I really do pray about it. I seek God b4 I make major decisions. If I say I am going to pray for someone I try to pray for them right away so I do not forget, but also when I do pray I ask God to remember those I might hv forgotten.

      Trygeania Dowell I have a friend that carries a small note pad with her everywhere she goes. I ask her why she said she would write people's name in it so in her prayer time she would not forget to pray for them when she got home That small note pad came in handy 🙂 February 26,2021

    Yep, you're right especially on #7. The Bible tells us we are to judge. Christians usually get that one WRONG! 1 Corinthians 6:2

      @M M No - He says judge not lest you be judged by the same measure.
      Read I Corinthians 6:1-3. It very clearly states God's people ARE judges.

      The Bible says not to judge but to judge righteously. We are to judge but many Christians often forget to judge RIGHTEOUSLY.

    • @tcbowen2173
      @tcbowen2173 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      The problem is, Christians at times don't judge the acts but judge the people. Which turns out to be condemnation. We need to seek God on how to correct people in love and let His spirit convict them. Otherwise, unbelievers will continue to find fault with it witness and not accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

    Number 5!!! I believe in prayer after I've seen demons leave during my prayer. I know laying your hand on someone helps too. I have had someone with the Holy Spirit lay hands on me while praying and WOW IT IS AMAZING! Some of the effects are felt instantly. Not always. Remember to have patience with prayer AND NO EXPECTATIONS! If it is in HIS will, it shall be done. Also, 6 got to me because I do pray on things....but not to avoid uncomfortable answers lol. I appreciate Allen so much. I am a lonely born again Christian but I'm slowly finding the body of Christ in my life. ❤

    Just a few months ago I practiced witchcraft. I dedicated myself to it. One of the things I was obsessed with was zodiac. Once I started living for Christ peoples "signs" was one of the first things i stopped caring about. Thank you for uploading this! People need to know this stuff isn't godly. It kinda makes me sad knowing a lot of things the Christian community doesn't realize are coming from a witch/evil background.

      Years ago I was into astrology. Not being curious about someone's sign was what I struggled with most even after accepting God's gift of salvation. Anyway, if you haven't heard of her- I want to direct you to Doreen Virtue. Shes on you tube. A former all-in new ager into witchcraft, astrology, yoga etc., her testimony is amazing. She's such a joy. Interviews bible believing pastors. I just really feel like I'm supposed to guide you to her.
