Damn, made it tonight, OMG, so good over brown rice. Thanks. I was an Army cook, 38 years, just turned 74 yesterday and you can teach an old dog new tricks, thanks again. I changed one thing, I purchase one whole orange, peeled it and put it in a blender, give it more body in the marinate. Made the jerk from scratch, so much better than store brands.
I made this for my family this weekend and they just loved it. Thank you soooooo much Chris for this recipe... I made your lo mein on the side and that was just delicious. All the way from tirindad, ah will definitely making this again
Oh yes ,I made Epis yesterday and I have my chicken marinating now .going to go get some Pineapple and orange juice and make this for my supper.. Thank you!!!
Question. Not an experienced cook. Actually I've only recently taken a serious interest in the culinary arts. In my limited experience, white meat chicken tends to be dry when baked. Can this recipe remedy that?
Damn guy. Wish i knew i live in Aruba and watch your videos as much as i can. Next time u coming down this way bring allot of scotch bonnet seeds. I can't get them here on the island. Or if u don't mind mail them to me. 😁
Glad to know fresh ones can be used too. BTW I enjoy looking at your channel and and the way you do your thing is very inspirational keep up the good work. #caribbeanpeoplerock BTW I'm from Guyana..
A question on your technique- Isn't it the case that to "jerk" meat means to poke holes in the meat with a skewer to allow the marinade to penetrate it more deeply? I am sure your recipe would be delicious, but I did not see you do this step.
Love it! Teaching my son to explore different methods to cook his meat 🤣 as I Vegan , & he 💜pepper & pineapple, so gonna try this with him! Thank you Please follow me on IG @Vegananian

Hello...from Marie galante....thx for your recipe😉
Hey Chris is your cookbook available in any bookstores in Trinidad
But love the receipe
What sides do you make with this?
How long can I keep the extra marinade in the fridge??
Also my family doesnt like anything with heat but they freaking loved this recipe.
Wat did u put the oven on
Can we process the marinade to put it on the grill
where you get that pepper grinder from
Say sauce, is extremely high in sodium so get the LOW SODIUM version and that will help tremendously. But, still taste great.
hey Chris , are we suppose to season the meat first and then add the sauce ? Or the sauce itself will season it ?
I going in brave !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahaahahahhaha
AMAZING YUMMY LOVELY THANKS YOU GOODNESS 🌟❤️🖤💚🤎 FAMILY DAPHNE COTTON ALWAYS 💜 AWESOME
Was there adequate amount of gravy after baking?
Nice vibes man
thx kindly Jeryl

Can add red apple?
💯💞

yum :D

how much is your cook book in american dollars
Is this not marinated before cooking?
Can I add ginger?
Mmmmmm that looks tasty can fresh pineapple used instead of canned pineapple.
Definitely.. I'd much prefer fresh if I had.
Glad to know fresh ones can be used too. BTW I enjoy looking at your channel and and the way you do your thing is very inspirational keep up the good work. #caribbeanpeoplerock BTW I'm from Guyana..
I'm making this weekend. I have all those ingredients except for the peppers
you can skip the peppers if you wish
Looks delicious! I definitely need to try it... But how did u keep all the liquid from drying out? Did u have to add more as it baked?
no I didn't add any but what you saw in the marinade. You can cover the pan with foil the first 35 mins if you wish to have more gravy.
This looks delicious! Would I be able to grill this instead of baking it?
U should to explain black speice.
I think this is soya souse.
A question on your technique- Isn't it the case that to "jerk" meat means to poke holes in the meat with a skewer to allow the marinade to penetrate it more deeply? I am sure your recipe would be delicious, but I did not see you do this step.
Why didn't you use all the marinade
Can habaneras be substituted for the scotch bonnet peppers?
Marcia Slaughter yes it can be a substitute
Love it! Teaching my son to explore different methods to cook his meat 🤣 as I Vegan , & he 💜pepper & pineapple, so gonna try this with him! Thank you

3:48!!!! He coughed!!!! What year is this!?!?!?!!
Can you grill it too?
Most Definitely
No Bieno.
Do some research on sodium its actually healthy for you with a balance of potassium
What would you eat with it ....
your mouth (smile). As you would eat meat dish
African rice and plantain
