God. I want a sequoia. I’m still in college full time and working full time. Trying to save up money for one just like yours, but it seems like they only keep getting more expensive. And then I still have to pay for school out of pocket. Man. Early adult life sucks lol! I’ll do what I can to make engineering school worth it!!

Desire is the root of all sorrow, as per Buddha. Focus on your school and lead a Zen existence till the real money rolls in. Meanwhile sketch out your mods in drawings and when you get that fabled car, you will be set to go. The one that you want which is too expensive, will be up for sale at less than half price. So it pays to wait. Never buy a new car! Everything is better the second time around - car, house, spouse, rescued dog, etc.

I’m also in college full time my man, I took out a loan to buy mine. Absolutely don’t recommend that, but I needed something to get me reliably back and forth the 5 hour trip to school and 5 hour trip home several times a year whilst hauling all my stuff. Found a low miles but kinda rusty 2005 with only 165k on it for 7k. Absolutely no regrets however. Needed something to let me put my high mileage turbo Subaru to rest after putting me thru $8k in repairs in the last 5 years and something that would carry me into my next phase of life with a job and home ownership and maybe even a family in the coming years after graduation in the spring of ‘24. Stay on the grind with school, pinch some pennies and save up to pay 1/2 the truck and pay 1/2 on a loan from family or from your bank and use that to build a line of credit that will be useful later. You got this brother!

Gotta have an appreciation for the fact that the width between the rear fenders inside is almost exactly 48 inches. Perfect for a 4x8ft plywood piece with some shaved off the end!

To think, a year ago I was going to sell my 01 Sequoia ( only word I know that has all aeiou) because I had a 2011 Mercedes ML 350 which was running great - Well about 2 months ago my Mercedes timing chain went bad (mechanic wants 10k to fix it) We now heavily depend on the 01 Sequoia - Hate to admit sold my 86 Land Cruiser after having 25 years - Life's regrets. Life goes on.

The seat mounts will interfere with the drawer (unless you waste space giving clearance). Was thinking U bolts to the seat mounts, embed the nut in the wood and cut the excess. Any ideas out there?
