LAFD saved me i was hanging out with the wrong people one day me and my friends and me were in a car and got in to a crash the driver was drunk when i was in the hospital some of the medics came to check on me and when they left i told them i want to do what you do and now here i am
That feeling whenever the tones drop and the first truck starts up and you go rolling its just indescribable. Would never do it for money. Just 12 but I got a hold my dad’s EMT book and study it daily. Think I will fly life flight as well with being a medic because I love aviation too.
My dad was a EMT of 32 years and was AC when he retired I'm 6 months younger than you and also love aviation we have a lot in common for two randoms who meet by commenting/reading

Benjamin Franklin (of course) founded the first general public fire department in Boston. Before then, each building owner had to pay for firefighter services, and if there was a fire next to your house, and they were insured and you weren't, the fire fighters did nothing to save your property.

That is the job to risk our lives for people who we don't know people ask me why do you run in to a buring building when people are coming out That is the job we signed up for and to help people. Sometime we loose a fellow firefighter and to honer them we just keep doing our job.

Best in the world being a civilian firefighter I think not serve your country in the United States military that's the best job you have in the world Veterans Day is coming up I'm sure there's going to be a parade or an event near you why don't you go to it and see some real heroes who wore a real uniform and served our country!!!!!

why does it look like that guy at the 52 second mark has a 1" or 1 1/4" hose at maybe 80 psi? is that just me or am I crazy. standard attack like for us is 1 3/4 at 125 psi minimum and it will wear you out
Don't over think the situation. Do what you gotta do to get what you need to do done.. training is there to help us think on our toes in any emergency. Macgyver the problem and take your time.

You have to be 18 to get any certifications or get hired onto the job. Unless you're becoming a junior/explorer then it's 15-21.
