Jason butler is the shit,he's so sweet and nice. When I had cancer he came to where I was and drop off a care package,he gave me 2 letlive shirts,a hoodie,a poster,2 drum sticks and other stuff,he's an amazing guy I love him so much
I remember meeting Jason and the Letlive boys during their Fake History tour. We hung out behind the venue, The Electric Theatre, in my small Southern Utah town of St. George. These guys helped me understand myself as a teen and gave me inspiration to rise above the bad hands I had been dealt in life. They showed me the meaning of true passion, and what it means to carve your own path. Thank you, Letlive.
I met them on the same tour broski! I'm in PA and this was at the Championship in Lemoyne, but I literally had the same exact experience with them. A true class act. At the end of my band's set they tore down all of our gear for us. We didn't have to lift a finger. Just to be nice to a young local act.
Don't misunderstand me, I really love letlive., but I don't think they will ever write something that even can look at this eye to eye. It's like one of the best songs ever made. Forever the letlive. masterpiece.
Zach Leger idk his song he did with pierce the veil "tangled in the great escape" was pretty amazing and this is a good song but its not impossible for them to top it!! think he could def write another just have to wait and see what their next album sounds like
Kittehx3 They for sure put out killer tracks and amazing music, but damn, Muther... It's just Muther. I feel like this is way above all the other songs, which doesn't mean they weren't amazing!
I'm going to his vocal technique/stage performance class on May 8th and I am soo excited. He's definitely a role model for me. I can't wait to meet him and learn from him.
There's times when I'm at work and just feel overwhelmed and alone and all I wanna do go sit in my car and listen to this song until it fixes things. I find such comfort in this.
I saw Letlive opening for Rise Against at the Showbox in Seattle. One of the best shows I have ever seen. The energy was absolutely amazing. Afterwards, I picked up a few Letlive LPs and walked out onto the street, feeling slightly light-headed from excitement and lack of oxygen. As I stepped onto the sidewalk in front on the venue, I locked eyes with someone familiar. Clumsy as I am, and dizzy as I was, I failed to see the step in from of my feet and wiped out right in front of a man who ran over and with great concern made sure I was alright. Thank you Jason Butler, it was very nice to meet you. PS: I was okay, and nothing got bruised other than my self-confidence.
Saw Letlive. yesterday at Self Help in San Bernardino, CA. Amazing performance and they have so much energy. One of the best bands I've seen perform in a long time.
I can't watch this music video without thinking about everything, and without feeling the lyrics engulf my soul. My heart feels like it's about to collapse. This is letlive for you and it's beautiful.
"Mother you know I'm sorry, but sorry's pregnant with remorse, and when remorse is born, remorse won't see an ounce of child support" this is one of my favourite lines from anything, ever
Never experienced genuinely tearing up at a gig before...ironically I didn't know this song at Reading as I'd only listened to the Blackest Beautiful, but still found myself yelling the words by the end, the emotion was so raw, loved it!
At Leeds Fest, once they finished this song, Everyone started chanting 'Don't you cry mama, you'll be okay' as loud as they could for a good 10 minutes. It was the best thing I have ever witnessed!
First time i saw letlive. they were opening for Devil Wears Prada. This song and performance live is still fresh in my mind. One of the coolest things ive seen at a live show
they performed this song at Slam Dunk South this year and Jason threw his mic on top of the stage tent so the crowd took over belting out the lyrics and he was so taken back he started crying, it's was such an awesome/beautiful moment
I've been obsessed with this song since it came out. I can't stop listening to it, and every time I do I never fail to get chills. The emotion Jason put into this song is absolutely incredible. Like nothing I've ever heard before.
+dethpunch1998 I was there that night too in Edmonton. Even though they opened, they had way more energy, and in my mind, put on a way better show than Killswitch and Rise Against.
Christian Kiyawasew I enjoyed Rise Against a lot more, but if I ever get the chance, I would like to see them do a full set, because I'm willing to bet it would be mind-blowing.
Saw these guys live around 2012 in Dublin and I gotta say they absolutely stole the show. So much energy, so much emotion and so unexpected. Jason was climbing up on to the balcony, smashing shit that came on stage, he was in complete control of the crowd. Met him afterwards and he was a complete gentleman and waited around for pictures with me and a load of my friends. Truly spectacular.
I love almost every single letlive. song, theyre the perfect blend of rage snd artistry. That said, it is absolutely insane how this song stands head & shoulders above their entire discography. I cannot resist the chills i get any time i simply remember how good it is, and then i HAVE to listen. I will never forget this incredible band. Thank you for giving me one of the best Warped Tour shows ive ever had
Love the rest of their music, and Jason's newer band, Fever 333, as well, but none of it is half as moving as this song right here 💓 absolute perfection 🔥
I love that they don't sound generic, the swing/jazz influenced part just makes this band stand out with such a unique sound. So freaking catchy! They deserve all the support they get :)
Saw them at warped, and this song made me cry. Jason gave a little speech in between and before they played this song, and everybody was crying and singing along to this song. It was one of the most precious moments I've ever experienced in a concert. You can feel the love, pain, and soul when you see them perform. I definitely recommend seeing them live,
They are so amazing live, you can feel the emotion pouring out of the singer. The first time I saw them was when they went on tour with Pierce the Veil, never heard them before but I got chills during this song. He climbed on top of the bar next to the stage and sang his freaking heart out, and even though they were just the supporting band and no one really knew who they were EVERYONE started singing along. It was seriously one of the most amazing concert moments of my life.
yeah, the part where he said "this is the closest thing to love i've ever known" and also where he said "i'm a 27 year old man and i still have trouble talking to people about my feelings"... which one were you at?
I met him on The American Dream Tour and he's so down to earth and super nice, but in concert, he was insane! But he's so much better live than on the records. They can't do him justice.
I feel so privileged to have seen letlive. live and shared such an experience with a whole room of people. One of the greatest bands to ever play The Cockpit in Leeds, one of the greatest venues. Breaks my heart that both letlive. and The Cockpit are no more.
I'm still finding this type of band, although of "heard" of them in passing, but never really delved into listening to more than half a song or so. This is the first Letlive song I've heard, and I've gotta say, I'm fucking impressed!
Truly an amazing band that keeps getting better and better, i still remember seeing them perform this song and Jason was so into that and to me that makes them even better because you see the passion
Just saw these guys yesterday and their performance was amazing! I love how Jason puts so much emotion and energy in all of the songs! Wasn't really a fan before but now I'm hooked!
Lyrics: Rest easily, In the bed of another man's tired old queen. I cannot wait for love If it comes as fast as he did. Rest easily, In the bed of another man's tired old queen. In all that I do, all that I do, I see the scarlet branding. Mother, you know I'm sorry, But sorry's pregnant with remorse And when remorse is born, remorse won't see An ounce of child support. Don't you cry mama, we'll, We'll be okay.
Can’t believe this song is already 7 years old. It makes me sad how fast time flys by. I remember meeting him back in 2012 right after one of their shows and he is one of the kindest individuals. Hoping I can see him play again one day.
Saw them live. First time hearing of them an hearing them an loved how they put emotion into there music. The American dream tour was a great tour by all bands
ugh his voice kills me in the best possible way and the lyrics are perfect and i don't even have the words for this. i would cry if i got to see them live
Played a show with them not long before the tour with enter shikaria and they are all the nicest and most down to earth guys I have ever had the pleasure of sharing a stage with. Also I had never heard of them before the show and they blew me away with the performance, The stage presence of Jason is phenomanil.
there's a video interview on here that explains it, she really is just some chick they met while they were recording and they thought she fit perfectly and so she sang lol but she doesnt have any work of her own
I hope to see letlive. live again sometime! I was lucky enough to see them back in 2011 when they were touring with Miss May I and Pierce the Veil on the No Guts No Glory Tour. Their stage presence is something that has stuck with me since then. I'm just so in love with this band. They're as real as it gets.
I saw letlive perform this song last night live and it was among the most breathtaking, passionate things I've ever seen in person. This band deserves all the success in the world.
I saw these guys in St. Louis a couple weeks ago, they played to a crowd of about 50 kids. Jason carved 'stl' into his arm with a broken bottle. I've never seen a band as raw and talented live as these guys. Incredible.
saw them live in July along with Killswitch Engage and Rise Against. The whole concert was amazing, but HOLY SHIT did the lead singer have fucking energy. he kept jumping in the crowd and on the speakers, it was amazing! I've never enjoyed a concert that much in my life, the three bands were fucking awesome!
favorite band, been a fan since 2011 and it's crazy when you compare shows back then and shows of theirs now, they deserve the fame they're getting. much ll.ove
When I seen them live with Enter Shikari and At The Skylines a while ago, they really made the whole thing worthwhile. Jason's energy live is just incredible to watch. Maybe he isn't the greatest live, but he's still pretty fucking good, and most importantly he really connects with the crowd.
I saw them Wednesday and became totally obsessed in less than five minutes. Not only are they great performers but them have such heart, it resonates off the stage. Best live band I am most sure of it.
Its so sad to see what has happened to Jason since these days. The guy was my hero, never was friends with someone in a band this big before. Dude even gave me his phone number. His lyrics and behavior inspired me to be a better person. And now hes pushing the devils propaganda, singing about rioting and arson :( Wouldnt be surprised if he sold his soul once he met Travis, for some radio play. Thats prob why letlive broke up. In any case, listening to their stuff, especially this song, brings me back to almost a decade ago now. Things were simpler, I was fresh out of HS. Had my whole life ahead of me. Ill always be grateful for the good memories he gave me. Met him at Metallica's Orion fest and it was the best part of the day. From hanging out on FH tour, at warped, watching them rehearse at my local school of rock when their tour bus broke down, to taking a greyhound to baltimore to catch em on their final us tour(Where I caught one of Loniel's drumsticks!) Its a massive shame they're done! IITD was their best work, too. LL will always be ll.egendary
when i saw them for the second time last month, he left right before the "don't you cry" part and the band stopped playing and the crowd sang it so loud and on beat that they played again and he came back. it was so amazing to be part of that. later i met jason and jean, nicest people in the world.
that's honestly quite a long time these days. I just today rediscovered this awesome piece of art. With all this access to so much great music via the internet nowadays, I am glad I found my way back here. This song still rocks!
I wish more people knew about these guys. The emotion and the heart they put into every song and performance is astounding. I expect big things from them. They're just so fucking great.
How come this masterpiece doesn't even make 1 million views while this Nicki Minaj shit has over 300 millions ? Something's wrong with today's society.
Letlive. Is one of the greatest bands IMO. They're just -- I cannot find words to describe my attraction to this band -- amazing. Seeing them and architects Thursday 👍
Jason butler is the shit,he's so sweet and nice. When I had cancer he came to where I was and drop off a care package,he gave me 2 letlive shirts,a hoodie,a poster,2 drum sticks and other stuff,he's an amazing guy I love him so much
That's so cool.. Hope your doing well.. ✌
Dope!
You still around my dude?
I hope more than anything that you're still here my brother...
M g are you still with us?, hope and pray you are
I remember meeting Jason and the Letlive boys during their Fake History tour. We hung out behind the venue, The Electric Theatre, in my small Southern Utah town of St. George. These guys helped me understand myself as a teen and gave me inspiration to rise above the bad hands I had been dealt in life. Coming back to this after hearing they are reuniting .
Just announced for when we were young fest 2025 October 🤯🤯
This was the best bands I’ve ever seen live in my life next to AFI at a small club in 2003. The energy was unbelievable
The pain in his voice hurts.
Agree
Stimulates me to scream with him.
Have you considered professional "Light Exposure Therapy"??? Good for mental health and skin blood neurological lots of benefit to u
Don't misunderstand me, I really love letlive., but I don't think they will ever write something that even can look at this eye to eye. It's like one of the best songs ever made. Forever the letlive. masterpiece.
The only thing that comes close personally is Pheromone Cvlt but that song doesn't make me cry like this one.
Zach Leger idk his song he did with pierce the veil "tangled in the great escape" was pretty amazing and this is a good song but its not impossible for them to top it!! think he could def write another just have to wait and see what their next album sounds like
agreed. its an amazing song.
I really liked Dreamers disease D:
Kittehx3 They for sure put out killer tracks and amazing music, but damn, Muther... It's just Muther. I feel like this is way above all the other songs, which doesn't mean they weren't amazing!
Still excellent in 2024
Shanks
He played this song at the concert and he cried during this song
Same, in Seattle. It's so amazing seeing a song with so much passion put into it on stage. I love that about them.
Same in Raleigh NC. He also jumped off the speaker stacks and ripped down the disco ball that had been there for like 30 years. 🤘
Gonna miss letlive. This will forever be their masterpiece. Quality band.
They're baaaaack!
I'm honestly doing that right now haha. Such an amazing song.
I cannot believe to explain how well mixed this song is. Honestly kudos to the sound engineers and producers. Holy shit
Agreed
This is 3 years too late, but I'm pretty sure Brett Gurewitz helped out with the production.
Let live isn't even my favourite band. But this is by far the greatest song ever written.
for the love of god. the band name is letlive., not Let live
Forgive a typo? It was an honest mistake.... All i missed was the space....
It just annoys me, didn't mean to come across as a dick :)
Lol wut?
That was one of my friends on my account
Ten years later and this song still slaps. Right? That's what the kids say nowadays.
this song is bussin
I think so. I think I still technically qualify as a kid
A literal masterpiece. I'm showing it to my girl rn lol.
Ongodongod
This shit be bussin
Letlive. will forever be my favorite band to see live.
They are insane live. Saw them on Underoaths farewell tour and Jason is nuts live 😊
This is one of my favorite songs of all time. Everytime I hear it I love it even more.
This band gives me goosebumps how good they are! I am so fucking stoked to see them on May 19 in Portland with Glass Cloud, yeahhhh turn up!
IM gonna say this now man. Prepare for possibly the best show of your life
My body is ready ;) lol
dude you're so lucky! and with Glass Cloud?! fosho gonna be a good show
I saw them Feb 13th with BMTH, OM&M, and Issues... they were amazing!
I'll be seeing Issues on Vans Warped Tour, fuckin stooooooked. 2014 lets get the fuck turnt up!! lol
I can't watch this music video without thinking about everything, and without feeling the lyrics engulf my soul. My heart feels like it's about to collapse. This is letlive for you and it's beautiful.
"Mother you know I'm sorry, but sorry's pregnant with remorse, and when remorse is born, remorse won't see an ounce of child support"
this is one of my favourite lines from anything, ever
I cry every time I hear this song.
This song is a masterpiece. No other way to put it. From start to finish. Absolutely amazing.
the most emotional song I saw in my entire weekend at Reading
Agreed!!!
Best band I saw at reading without a doubt. Gutted they aren't playing again this year
RIP letlive. i'll really miss this band.
The nostalgia! Havent heard this in like 2 years
Damn same here man!
I've been obsessed with this song since it came out. I can't stop listening to it, and every time I do I never fail to get chills. The emotion Jason put into this song is absolutely incredible. Like nothing I've ever heard before.
sarah have you checked out Glassjaw? Great band as well. I can’t believe it took me this long to find this band. Incredible.
such an underrated band
I saw them live yesterday and they are awesome
This song and music video is the pinnacle of passion
I saw them last night, and I must say, this song is even better live. These guys put on an awesome show.
+dethpunch1998 At the Palladium right :D i was there and saw them two weeks ago
William Pacheco No, I saw them at the Shaw Conference Center in Edmonton, Alberta.
Oh.. god. This song... it just brings tears to my eyes. So much emotion put in this song. I love the creativity of the video as well. I can't even...
Its crazy how its 2021 and it still resonates with me. This song has a special place, for real.
Same here I’m 23 now. Listen to this song everyday my senior year of HS
@@deathwishlv I was a senior in HS when this came out and it still resonates with me 10, almost 11 years later. long live letlive.
This bands need so much more attention best find I have found in awhile just love Jason voice
2022 nd I’m still listening to letlive.
Had the pleasure of seeing them open for underoath like ten years ago and they stole the show I’d say, Jason is wild onstage. Underrated band.
"Dontcha cry, Mama", they screamed, as tears poured down their faces
I love almost every single letlive. song, theyre the perfect blend of rage snd artistry.
That said, it is absolutely insane how this song stands head & shoulders above their entire discography. I cannot resist the chills i get any time i simply remember how good it is, and then i HAVE to listen.
I will never forget this incredible band. Thank you for giving me one of the best Warped Tour shows ive ever had
Amazing band, very very talented! And the lead singer puts his heart into his music which contributes to their songs!
Letlive was the soul of warped last year. Hope to see then again
them and the chariot haha
Aquabats and Silverstein too haha plus Reel Big Fish was the last band of my stop and that was really good
I truly wish every person could see Jason preform. It’s magic.
The man is a bonafide hurricane on stage. SO high energy.
I saw them at starland ballroom in like 2012 and the crowd did not deserve them
Agreed. Great stage performance, some of the best I've seen
Love the rest of their music, and Jason's newer band, Fever 333, as well, but none of it is half as moving as this song right here 💓 absolute perfection 🔥
Also recently found his newest project, Pressure Cracks, and really loving that as well 🔥 but still, this song/video is just top tier 🖤
I just got back from a letlive. concert. he cried during this song. I met him and got his autograph
I love that they don't sound generic, the swing/jazz influenced part just makes this band stand out with such a unique sound. So freaking catchy! They deserve all the support they get :)
knowing I'll nver get to see this live again kills me
thefaulkness we can always hope for a come back
Saw them at warped, and this song made me cry. Jason gave a little speech in between and before they played this song, and everybody was crying and singing along to this song. It was one of the most precious moments I've ever experienced in a concert. You can feel the love, pain, and soul when you see them perform. I definitely recommend seeing them live,
REST IN FUCKING PEACE. My favorite song from them, or at least the first one that got me really into them. I can't wait to see whats next for Jason.
It was seriously one of the most amazing concert moments of my life.
im legit going to one of their concerts cos their opening performance for PTV was amazing
Aaliyah Cunha same
Aaliyah Cunha their live shows are incredible. i had never heard of them until I saw them open back in 2014 and feel in love
the agony in his voice is heart wrenching
yeah, the part where he said "this is the closest thing to love i've ever known" and also where he said "i'm a 27 year old man and i still have trouble talking to people about my feelings"... which one were you at?
Both
Saw them perform last night with The Menzingers and Taking Back Sunday. Legendary and absolutely amazing!
I absolutely love him. If one day I could meet him.....sigh. he's beautiful musically and physically.
I met him on The American Dream Tour and he's so down to earth and super nice, but in concert, he was insane! But he's so much better live than on the records. They can't do him justice.
Oh God!! I'd melt in front of him!
I just fucking love how they sound. it's so unique and a lot different than other bands which I love
Just saw these guys yesterday and their performance was amazing! I love how Jason puts so much emotion and energy in all of the songs! Wasn't really a fan before but now I'm hooked!
Lyrics: Rest easily,
In the bed of another man's tired old queen.
I cannot wait for love
If it comes as fast as he did.
Rest easily,
In the bed of another man's tired old queen.
I cannot wait for love
If it comes as fast as he did, well, shit
That's two minutes well-spent
That she spent with him
So stay home
In bed alone
All because of you, all because of you,
Now I can't stand it.
In all that I do, all that I do,
I see the scarlet branding.
Mother, you know I'm sorry,
But sorry's pregnant with remorse
And when remorse is born, remorse won't see
An ounce of child support.
She won't, no, she won't no, she won't.
She won't
She
Go ahead
No wait
Wait
Ok go ahead
Wait eagerly,
Because tonight I'm another man's brand new queen
Why should I wait for love,
If it comes as fast as he did?
He said, "Wait, she's with me
So send that other man walking
With his two left feet"
Now I hate my love
And now the other man's floating in the dead man's sea
And he's floating face-down, 'cause he's a dead man, see?
So stay home
In bed alone
All because of you, all because of you,
Now I can't stand it.
In all that I do, all that I do,
I see the scarlet branding.
Mother, you know I'm sorry,
But sorry's pregnant with remorse
And when remorse is born, remorse won't see
An ounce of child support.
She won't, no, she won't, no
No, she will not.
Don't you cry mama, we'll,
We'll be okay.

ll.ove this band so much
Saw them live. First time hearing of them an hearing them an loved how they put emotion into there music. The American dream tour was a great tour by all bands
such an amazing vocalist. Letlive is obviously awesome but it's so amazing when he does guest spots on other songs too :D
ugh his voice kills me in the best possible way and the lyrics are perfect and i don't even have the words for this. i would cry if i got to see them live
I miss this band :(
I saw them in Toronto and yeah the lead singer was so nice and kept smiling and thanking us. Amazing live band!!!
Jason is the sweetest person I ever met, letlive for life 💕
Played a show with them not long before the tour with enter shikaria and they are all the nicest and most down to earth guys I have ever had the pleasure of sharing a stage with. 2020 and still love this band!!!
I saw letlive perform this song last night live and it was among the most breathtaking, passionate things I've ever seen in person. This band deserves all the success in the world.
this song is awesome without the music video, but even MORE awesome with it! LOVE IT
I keep listening to it over & over. When I'm not listening to it, I'm singing it. This band has officially became one of my top faves.
A wild Non Bearded Jason Butler appears
Please come back 😭😭😭 life still hasn't been the same ever since y'all left
It's safe to say I am completely obsessed with this song.
Seeing this song performed live was everything!!!!!
Just saw letlive live tonight. It was fucking great.
At The Garage? Me too! They were great as always!
no it was at the granada in kansas city
kk ur cool
I saw these guys in St. Louis a couple weeks ago, they played to a crowd of about 50 kids. Jason carved 'stl' into his arm with a broken bottle. I've never seen a band as raw and talented live as these guys. Incredible.
the ending of this song is too perfect
saw them live in July along with Killswitch Engage and Rise Against. The whole concert was amazing, but HOLY SHIT did the lead singer have fucking energy. he kept jumping in the crowd and on the speakers, it was amazing! I've never enjoyed a concert that much in my life, the three bands were fucking awesome!
This is ridiculously brilliant.
favorite band, been a fan since 2011 and it's crazy when you compare shows back then and shows of theirs now, they deserve the fame they're getting. much ll.ove
Looking back at beardless Jason makes him seem so... naked.
better
When I seen them live with Enter Shikari and At The Skylines a while ago, they really made the whole thing worthwhile. Jason's energy live is just incredible to watch. Maybe he isn't the greatest live, but he's still pretty fucking good, and most importantly he really connects with the crowd.
This hits so fucking hard.
Who's still listening in 2017 and wondering WHY and HOW this doesn't have more views :( It's a masterpiece.
DON'T YOU CRY MAMA, WEEE'LL, WE'LL BE OKKAAAYYYY
Jason needs to be remembered as one of the best frontmen of all time. Seriously dude pours his heart at every performance.
Haha Jason reminds me of Daryl Palumbo of Glassjaw.
100%
ive been saying this for so long! i feel like they are influenced by the bands of that generation.
I was thinking that to bro. Letlive will do. Where in the fuck is glassjaw
keith kanengoni daryls new band color film isnt too bad. its no gj but its still pretty good imo
I have love hardcore nearly 13 years Letlive glassjaw deftones at the drive-in. Are the best
when i saw them for the second time last month, he left right before the "don't you cry" part and the band stopped playing and the crowd sang it so loud and on beat that they played again and he came back. it was so amazing to be part of that. later i met jason and jean, nicest people in the world.
Still hearing in 2016
It's only 4 years old...
that's honestly quite a long time these days.
