  • This show sees Queensrÿche opening for Ozzy Osbourne. Fortunately for us, it was caught on video in its entirety, and the quality is pretty good considering the age. The audio however had a lot of noise, and is somewhat distant, as the camera was filming from the balcony.
The show itself is great. The band's performance is strong and tight, and Geoff's voice is still in great shape, although he does sound a little tired in a few minor spots. The audience seems to be into Queensrÿche's set as well, which always adds to the atmosphere of the show.
Overall it's a great show that every fan should give a spin. Enjoy!

*Re-uploaded after 4 years:* I've adjusted the video levels, de-noised the video and EQ'd the audio as well to remove noise. Enjoy!

Being a teenager in the 80's was fun as hell. A big part of that enjoyment was the music.

Except for all the damn ballads rock bands put out in the 80's, I agree with you. Mtv actually played music, pretty cool tv shows, I thought miami vice had it's moment, and in general just a lot more fun. There was a lot less stress being a kid, you weren't forced to have a sex change, use the opposite bathroom, and you didn't have to worry about offending someone with every other word that came out of your mouth. As a young guy, you could go to the mall and chase girls, you didn't have to do it online!

Its a good job then you aren't going to get old, isn't it? That way you will still be able to do all the things you do now and still do them well. Geoff might not be able to hit all the notes he did when he was 20, and he even admits he has trouble sometimes but he has always done a bloody good job every time I have heard him. As an older singer, myself, you have your off & on days. His voice is still the dream if you choose to sit and really listen to it........

Just came across this - awesome! Kind of amusing to see them with those guitars though . . . much more 'image' guitars to convey the heavy meatal look than the ESP guitars they used, endorsed, loved and kept for the next 4-5 albums because they worked well for them. I guess part of everyone is all about the image when younger, but I'm glad they had the substance of great musicianship and song writing as well. One of my favorite bands.

When I see this comment my response is: "Hear in the Now Frontier", totally composed by DeGarmo, and a total failure as a QR album. I am not knocking Chris, people's taste as goals change after all, but I think the band's career as actual METAL musicians was over after Empire. Quite a shame, I still listen to EP, The Warning, RFO, OM, but rarely listen to anything produced after that.
