They are called Mainzelmannchen. The Mainzelmännchen are six comedic cartoon characters used as mascots for the German public service television broadcaster ZDF. They first aired on television in 1963 to accommodate a government regulation prohibiting confusion between broadcast advertising and content
Those French boxed figures I’d say are the best part of the haul! Always good to get items you had from child hood too… always makes yea smile. And secret project eh… meow meow! 🏴☠️🤘🏼
For clarification, the Imperial Godzilla is the officially licenced toy of the time. They came in different sizes, but all looked the same as far as dorsal fins, red lips and general color scheme goes. The knock-offs usually have different dorsal fins (if any), and a lot of them came in different colors. That other kaiju was such a knock-off, specifically of the Toho monster Gigan (who, up to that point, had appeared in two Godzilla movies and episodes of the TV series Zone Fighter). I also came in different colors.
@@EdsRetroGeekOutdormei made the ones without dorsal plates. Also the imperial ko gigan is cool because it kinda looks like gigan before he was turned into a cyborg
Doesn’t look like a problem, looks like a SCORE!!! 🔥 The Mannix guys, the complete Galaxy’s, and the Savage Mondo were sick dude. Trollsaurus was hilarious. 😂 Thanks Ed.
I had one of those Savage Mondo Blitzers. The bug guy with the pistols. I recently saw one in a video (may have been yours from one of your trips to the USA) and had to get him back! All you toy guys end up making me spend so much money by reminding me of stuff I had when I was a kid lol.
Family Tree House! Mate, it was right there! Can't believe you didn't grab it! 😆 Loved that toy when I was a kid - one of the first things I picked up when I got back into collecting toys...
Savage Mondo Blitzers! Battle Trolls are awesome! Love this vid, totally rekindled the eternal memory flame. and, the toy history vids are perfect, so informative!
The galaxy figures are from the 70s. Produced in italy i thimk. An amazing range but not based on a cartoon. You got a great deal on them as they typically go for 100 euros each boxed. The zephton figure is particularly sought after and goes for more.
I've been following your channel for a while & I love what you do but one question often comes to mind... How do you manage to be so active and have the budget to do all these trips without having to work, you do magic because on my channel, I made one video per month and people asked me how I managed to buy all that and what my job is... I've come to ask myself the same questions on other youtubers' channels because that's what made me stop making videos because there are too many people who talk behind other people's backs trying to harm our passion!
I have a full time day job where editing/content/social media is part of my job so this channel is testing out things with something I love. Apart from that i play guitar in bands during the weekends what I make off that tends to go into collecting. And collecting is buying new things and parting with other stuff that isn’t exciting anymore. So we sell at toy shows and retro game shows occasionally picking up a lot to make some money off of. There’s also sometimes months i’m not spending anything on toys. The trips are paid for by the videos and where it may seem i’m gone all the time most of these trips are like 4 stops a day and hopefully 2-3 videos of content a day to make it work. Where it may seem i’m gone for 3 months contentcalender wise the actual filming might have only been a week. Also stuff in europe isn’t as far as in the Us, i can be in london in 3 hours, amsterdam in 2,5 and most of germany is only a 3 hour drive from Belgium. So hopefully that sheds some light on it. 🤓
I have that purple kaiju have had it since i was a little kid,3-4 years old from a food store in florida i think, If im not mistaken they had a godzilla also( or KO) that would have been 1983-1987 is as far a memory and when i got it
There comes a point when a collector needs to step back, and be honest with themselves. There's collecting a line or two cause they excite ya. If your HOARDING all because of fomo...your not collecting, you have a uncontrolled addiction.
This vacation island getaway beat sucks please ED retire this background music it really kills the vibe and experience 🪘 of the video Please!!!!!!!!! 😢 🙏
I don’t understand where you are even putting this stuff anymore. Room looks pretty full and I’m afraid you might be pushing hoarder status. Get a bigger toy room or chill out bro!! I’ve been following for a long time brotha but it’s getting to be a bit much lol

Couldn't have explained it any better 👍.
Your Mainzelmännchen is a Goebel figurine from 1975.
😉👍
Sweet I knew kt had something to do with that 🤓

Cool finds , especially the Atlantic aliens...it's a company from italy they were rad ...very 👌
.. and that was a fantastic price! They are so hard to find. Boxed I only know them from 100,00 to 250,00 € 🙈
Epic 😄
The Skeleton Warrior steed is an enviable find, and I like the Trollasaurus too!
Now these figures can get from A to B but faster 🤘
The figure in 15:05 is a Mainzelmännchen from a TV station called ZDF
Sweet 🤘
Sweet pickups from an amazing collection 🤩
Thank you kindly

Those go bots ring a bell. I feel like I had the green one.
Creepy is the green one I believe he was a mail away
You got some pretty amazing finds from him. It was cool he let you at least film opening the boxes.
Thanks buddy, over the years he’s always been kind with all his awesome stuff
I had (and still have at my parents’ place) the Japanese monster, but it’s yellow with hints of reds and greens.
I guess they came in different colors 😄
hmmm, that gameboy thingy looks tempting :>
I knooow 😓
Great episode mate, so many great lines and items added to your collection. Appreciate you making these video mate.
