It is actually the first Disney musical that hints that it was quite possible that Mirabel could have become the villain of the movie. It is a great movie but having Mirabel become the villain would have thrown everyone for a loop.
I am Colombian and I am happy that the image of my country is changing so much with this film, I hope they will stop seeing us as the "country of drugs", these are things that caused us a lot of pain , greetings from Colombia, you will always be welcome to my beautiful country ✨🇨🇴😊🌼
As an American it was awesome to see all the differences. The music was insanely good, the colors were beautiful and the design of everything from the houses to the clothing was incredible. I rarely get to hear or see anything like this just what you mentioned, And you can trust that I saw the food and already have some recipes I've bought ingredients for. I'm seriously looking forward to trying Arepas 😋
I never got why the country I'm in USA doesn't help our neighbors here and make life better itd solve the immigration problem here if we help our side of the world make America's truly free
I like how Mirabel’s description of Isabela is lowkey shade. “Grows a flower, the town goes wild.” I mean, you have a sister who can carry houses, a mom who can heal the sick and an aunt who can, I dunno, help with watering the fields but people just looove the flowers 🙄 So subtle. Something a sister would definitely say.

Oops.. you missed the last part of this song when abuela called her that... "Mirabel! What are you doing?" And the kids telling that Mirabel is about to tell them what is her gift and Dolores peeked out and reveals that Mirabel didn't get one.. oops
As Colombian i love that this movie helps to show the culture of my country, and makes the people talk about the nature and the colors and not just about Pablo Escobar, drugs and Cocaine, and i also love how it represents the violence that Colombia have been living since the past century and become the country the number one with most displaced people, for us the scene of "dos oruguitas" represents the stories that our grandmas tells us, about how they lost their husbands, and had to raise their children alone, without money and help, seriously Disney made a great job with this movie

Can’t Isabella grow other plants as crops for the town? When she grew the cactus it showed she could grow stuff besides flowers
