The Eurovision prince! He's one of the most iconic winners, and he's somehow always involved in Eurovision (making covers, performing, doing cameos, presenting points, etc.). The fandom loves him ❤️
He represented Norway, but he's originally from Belarus. He is a classically trained violinist. He has recorded in English, Russian, Belarusian, Norwegian, Swedish, etc. A HUGE talent!
Sure, he was born in Belarus, but came to Norway four years old, so I guess he consider himself Norwegian, as well. He has lived in Norway for 32 years.
He is actually the winner of eurovision 2009. If you started with him you should react to all the winners from 2010-2019 (2020 was cancelled because of Covid and you already watched Italy 2021) maybe you could do a winner once a week and in the other days continue with 2021 :D If you want I can write the list of the winners here so it will be easy for you to find them
The music and the dance is based on Norwegian folk music but changed a lot when turned into pop music. Rybak live in Los Angeles today and have just educated himself to be a film music composer.
This song was a beautiful sock for eurovision!!! We all knew he would win, but what happened was unbelievable,....He won with the highest score of all times!!!
Alexanda was a favorite to win the contest quite early on.Under the old voting system he broke the record for the most number of top marks (12pts) and held the record for the highest toatl score at 386 in think. The song that came second was exceptional too and would have one in any other year and woud have been Icelands first win. Its alsi worth checking out and is called 'Is it You' by Yulana. The other one that will blow your mind is Russia from 2016
A quick fun fact for you guys! The Eurovision voting systems works by each country giving set points to the top ten songs based on voting in that country. Fairytale finished with 387 points, not only winning by a landslide compared to the other songs that year, but also making it the most popular Eurovision song to date, holding the current record for most points! For those interested, the point system goes as follows: 10th - 1 point 9th - 2 points 8th - 3 points 7th- 4 points 6th - 5 points 5th - 6 points 4th - 7 points 3rd - 8 points 2nd - 10 points 1st - 12 points
From a dane to Norway, It is really amazing, I love this song, it has it all. I want to play this with my music students.🤩But, you guys, when a violinist brakes some hair on the bow, it is totally normal, when you play folkmusic, because you push hard and play hard. So it happens all the time. With that said, I will just say: Sådan Alexander, you nailed it perfect 🤩
I had just turned 10 when this won and it’s the first time I actually remember sitting up through the entire voting process though it went on past midnight. He participated it again in 2018, and he’s barely aged at all. The flash mob interval act from 2010 when we hosted were amazing as well with Madcon singing and people dancing along all across Europe. However I was more proud to be represented by TIX this year than when Alexander Rybak won because of the importance of Fallen Angel, but love both of them. Love from Norway 🇳🇴 PS you’ll often see Alexander commenting on TIX’s Instagram, and a lot of vlog type videos from TIX have him singing along to Fairytale. 😻
Когда-то на этом конкурсе и правда пели. Много певцов и коллективов стали мировыми звёздами после участия и (или) победы. К сожалению, больше такого нет
The dancing is called Halling dans ( halling dance ) in norway back in history young men wanted to show off their healthy bodies to potential wives by dancing alone doing " stunts " while dancing on beat, there's also a regular dance as well. kicking off the hat off a stick would be done by women standing on a chair or something and lifting it up high enough to impress them and the guy would dance around and do a spin kick or something.
Nope, it is definately not a hardingfele, it is a normal violin. A hardingfele has patterns cut into it and has four understrings beneath the normal strings. So I can tell for sure, being a folkmusic violinist and fiddler, that it is not a hardingfele he is playing on
Hey guys, so fun to see you on your Eurovision journey. You do realise it's bee around since 1956 right? So, why not react to one of the golden oldies. I will take you not too far back yet but here's one from 1981, when the UK was still doing well 😅 : th-cam.com/video/pACePi441ds/w-d-xo.html
Maybe it's an usual video for you guys to read to, but the voting sequence is REALLY exiting to watch. Or the Switzerland 2020 one (video or live) is also a really good one
