The design is so cool ! I think the main reason why we don’t have American open kitchens in morocco is because we use a lot of spices in our food ! When we cook there is smell everywhere in the house so people prefer to separate kitchens from the other rooms !There is also the intimacy concerne: Kitchen is an intimate space that should be separated from the guests space. But as you said house should be built for the family not for the guests (wakha moroccan people are so welcoming that they think of the guests htta houma in their house conception, it’s more about hospitality and I think that’s cute )

I am an arch student too haha my advice is just sketch a LOT w get inspired a lot especially as an architecture student the more examples you see the more imagination your brain can do when you are trynna come up with a new design. Basically feed your brain with so many examples that you like (from pinterest archdaily akitizer…) bach fach tji designi tl9ay 3ndk afkar. Also ay fikra jatk draw it. Makaihemch kifach lmhm draw it.
