I am 81 years old. Been on Keto for 3+ years and organic for a decade. I am slowing giving up all veggies. I am going for carnivore more. I had to lie to my doctor who jumped on me for even saying the word Keto over 3 years ago. I lost 50 pounds and she asked how and I said,"Oh no sugar, bread or potatoes." She said she could never do that! I still do most everything and am told I could not be 81. Nothing makes up for health and energy! Much Aloha for you story and channel.

As an older female carnivire, I would say that the reason our age group is "getting it" is because we are literally at the end of the line. We are sufferjng from decades of poor diet, illness and physical decline, and pharmaceutical pill for every ill doctors. Finally we have to take back control.

Not to mention all the food companies and their brain--washing... Don't eat pasta, eat pasta, don't eat eggs, eat eggs, don't eat butter, eat butter, substitute margarine, don't eat margarine, don't eat sugar but eat sugar substitutes, now don't eat sugar substitutes.... I think we've been one big experiment to some of these companies for decades. I'm trying to convince myself to go carnivore, but am scared...

I'm a 70 y.o. woman, so I "get" it, too. Seeing my 67 y.o. brother in the final stages of Parkinson's, him not knowing who he is, and doesn't recognize his wife and grandchildren.
Doctors, meds up the wazoo, a wife who loves him dearly, but will not change his diet--she knows nothig about carnivore, and doesn't like me, so won't hear anything I say---he's just a body that's now taking up space, nothing like the smart, funny, brilliantly witty man he was 20 years ago. I don't want to go that route, so I've made the change of diet just today.

@@sashachamberlin5904 As someone in medicine myself, we learn things during our study that some people take as gospel rather than as indicators which is what they are. In reality all the cholesterol science is fallible, based on false science created during the 60s-70s. LDL is considered the bad cholesterol because it delivers cholesterol to your body tissue, in reality it is trying to heal, however, many professionals presume that it is creating fatty-deposits in your arteries. These deposits won't build up if you reduce your inflammation (caused primarily by sugars, Omega-6 oils, lectins and the like). The biggest risk factor with cholesterol is a poor calcium score which will indicate that the fatty-deposits have hardened, which, when or if they are dislodged can block smaller arterioles causing heart-attack or other embolism, which could also cause stroke.
If you have concerns about cholesterol, go carnivore, avoid processed foods and do exercise as frequently as you can to improve the oxygenation and blood flow of your body.

I’m two weeks into my new Carnivore lifestyle. I have Multiple Sclerosis (with disabilty) and a shed load of weight I have been carrying around for over 30 years. I felt big changes in the first couple of days and found myself going all in as it was so easy for me. I have a clear mind already and have been dropping almost a lb every day! I even began a 20 minute workout which I would never have had the energy for before. I am excited to continue my journey. I am loving the Carnivore community too.

I'm 68 and my partner is 77. We've been ketovore for over 2 years. SO MANY
things are better! Including his... **cough-cough** NOT needing Viagra anymore. No complaints here!
I was a "healthy" low fat vegetarian for 25 years. Lots of whole grains, veggies, fruits... I managed my weight through a 20/4 intermittent fasting pattern. I was FAMISHED pretty much all the time.
    My reward: TWO PRIMARY CANCERS
    Two.
I have no identified genetic risks for cancers.
Since being almost 100% carnivore, my joint pain is gone, my gut pain from IBS and gastritis is gone, migraines now EXTREMELY rare, I have plenty of energy and I feel great all the time. My partner and I both are amazed at how our joint pain is completely gone. And there is some exciting research showing up that points to some very strong brain benefits from a ketogenic diet, which a carnivore diet actually is. A ketogenic diet is simply a diet that severely restricts carbohydrates and isn't necessarily extremely high in fat. It is simply a diet that increases the amount of keytone bodies in your blood.
And there is some credible evidence that not eating carbs is a benefit for reducing cancer risk AND as an adjuvant to cancer treatments. I'm keeping an eye on that emerging research.
I wish I could go back to every mentally ill and dementia patient. I advised a low fat vegetarian diet 2 and grovel, begging for forgiveness.I was dead wrong.

I watched both of my parents rapidly deteriorate in their 70's. My stepfather was first to develop Type 2 diabetes at 67 and he ended up on dialysis at 72 (he was a sugar addict) for nine years, the last three of which were spent in a nursing home because his bones became so brittle and he kept falling and breaking bones, until he died there in 2013. My mother developed Type 2 diabetes in her mid 60's, followed quickly by statin meds for high cholesterol, serious limitations to her mobility because of foot, knee, and leg problems due to her weight, and then she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at 85. She died in October 2022 after six years of private memory care. They both followed the low fat, high fiber diet for decades and never questioned their doctors' advice. They have become the "poster children" to me for how I plan to NOT age. I am 64 and I started carnivore two weeks ago; I am feeling great. (I've lost ten pounds.) I spent time learning about it online for about a month, started slowly reducing my daily carbs for about a week to avoid keto flu, and went full throttle two weeks ago with no problems thus far. Thank you very much for this interview. I just found the both of you a few days ago and I am thoroughly enjoying watching your carnivore videos. I'm very happy for your successes all around.

And imagine if it was genuinely gourmet and high end - beautiful presentation and sophisticated flavours, maybe the dishes could be garnished with non-edible leaves and moss and twigs and other nature-derived decorations to make them look more beautiful and colourful, like they do in Noma - the decorations wouldn’t even have to touch the carnivore food - eg they could be on a charger under the main serving plate, and used as table decorations.

I am in my fifth month of carnivore. I dove right in with no transition. I'm a sugar addict and was likely heading towards type 2 diabetes. Every time I tried keto, I couldn't stay on the diet. Also, veggies were increasingly causing digestive issues. I watched enough videos that I felt confident and I didn't have a problem with B,B,B,E. I felt so satisfied right away that it has been easy to continue. I have been challenged with adding more fat. I've never wanted to eat fat so, I'm learning how; gradually adding more and more fat. And yes, I experienced some diarrhea, at first but it stopped. I've lost 45 pounds and feel like I'm finally moving towards health.

I’ve been on carnivore since July 6, no sugar since July 4. I saw the doctor on Monday, because I wanted to find out how my thyroid was doing. I had been on 90 mgs of Armour Thyroid for years because my thyroid had been blown out with irradiated iodine twenty five years ago.
The doctor told me my thyroid is complete normal now and I will not need to take thyroid any more!!
I still have issues feom Complex PTSD, but instead of feeling nothing and being immobile, I am feeling a lot of somethings, and not being immobile at all!
Thank you for all you do!! I feel so much hope about resuming my career as a professional harpist and singer. I still have a long way to go, but my oxygen sat is better, my high notes are coming back, and my mental acuity is better.

I started carnivore 2 and 1/2 years ago. I am 63. I had arthritis in my hands and my knees and my back. Sevier low back pain. Doctors couldn't find anything. I now have zero pain in my body and feel better than I did. At 30! I did lose seven pounds but that left my skin crinkly so gained it back.

I'm 73yrs old. and only within the past week learned of the carnivore diet. I started Sunday and pleased to see this video. I woke up feeling amazing this morning. I didn't even think to relate it to my eating. I want to feel like that every morning. I fell asleep with my phone playing so electronics in the bed.
I feel so blessed. My business includes beef pasture raised and never ever hormone or antibiotic.
I'm going back to finish listening. I was shocked to learn my morning feeling was from the food I am eating.

I believe that people who have a servant's heart recognize each other in ways that truly matter. It makes these kinds of conversations so personal & enjoyable~thank you both for sharing this with us.
It's really helpful to be able to override all the nonsense from media/big pharma/ agriculture/etc with the truth of shared experience & outcomes. There are so many of us now, it's only a matter of time before it moves inward from the "fringe" to at least a somewhat mainstream option for folks to consider. Also, more & more medical professionals are getting on board, based on their own experiences & those of their patients.
Perhaps the longer we are living this way, the easier it will be to share it with our doctors & other care providers, which can only move that many more precious humans toward healing & optimal health.

But, I know it came from being obese even as a child, and my mom and grandmother tried to help by telling me butter was not good for you. You are inspiring me. I just started 2 days ago on carnivore. I turned 78 last week. I started LCHF and intermittent fasting at the age of 74 because I did not want to reach 200 pounds. Within 6 months, I reversed Type 2 Diabetes, fatty liver, stage 3 kidney disease, IBS, chronic reflux, chronic inflammation and shortness of breath. I was able to discontinue all my medications and I lost 20 pounds during the first year. Being addicted to sugar/carbs, I struggled during the COVID pandemic. Eventually I transitioned from Keto to a carnivore way of eating. After losing 55 pounds, I am now at my goal weight and my arthritis and sleep apnea have resolved. I have loads of energy consuming a Proper Human Diet and I am happy with the way I look and feel.

Thank you Kerry and Anita - you both are very sympathic! 🌼
The recovering smell has to do with zinc deficiency.
Meat has lots of zinc and plants have a lot of zinc antagonists (like copper, phytic acids, etc.). When plant-food is reduced, the body can keep & use the zinc from animal sources much more effective than before - and restore things like smell and other sensory issues.
So many people have a zinc deficiency and do not know it - it also affects brain/cognitive functions, skin, hair, eyes, nerves, wound healing, immune system, etc.
