Went to Ireland (routine trip) then Jamaica (first all-inclusive and Caribbean trip). Off to Ireland again (every 6 months) and starting to plan our 10th anniversary vacation for December. This is one of the hotels on our list!

@@beatriceosei3795 which one? they have Royalton chic in hotelzone and the R. Rivera is 15 min away … to be honest my most recent stay was horrible … the sargasso stinks like rotten fish all through the resort … my room in hideaway was beautiful and very large. Our trip was VERY short because of the experience and we rebooked for Labor Day weekend at a different resort. Good luck 🍀

A company called BD Experience. Check with your hotel though, they might have their own options. At our resort, there were several companies selling excursions. Happy travels!

We just got back two weeks ago - everything was fine with the pandemic, the resort helps you with the Covid test you need to get back to America. Happy travels!
Headed to Royalton for our first time on Monday. What are the best excursions to do?
The excursion we chose was a combination of snorkeling with sea turtles and coral reef, and swimming in a cenote. The drive was a four-hour round trip, but we thought it was worth it. We arranged with BD Experiences, but if you have a transportation company you’re working with, they might have options available.
And by family you mean ME right!!

What tour did you do? Did you book through Royalton once you arrived or did you book prior?
We did a snorkeling/cenote mixture. We snorkled with 6-feet turtles, manta rays, and coral reef - then went swimming in some cenotes. We booked on site - when you get there, there's a room with various tour operators who have options for tours - there are a lot of options!

Was it a long walk to the food areas from the hideaway?
In are you allowed in the other 2 parts of the resort
Now I booked with Expedia to pay at the resort can I pay cash or do you think it’s best to pay with a Prepaid Visa card maybe? 🤔
The Hideway isn't really far from the food. The family section is closer by, but I think from Hideway it is about 5 minutes walk. If you book Hideway you are allowed to go to other parts of the resort, as far as I am aware. If you book family section, I think that you are not allowed to sit in the Hideway section. We booked Hideway Diamond - it is the easiest, because you are allowed everywhere :).

If I book on the family side do I have access to the hideaway side?
Honestly, I'm not sure... I'd check with a travel agent or the resort before booking to clarify - for example, I remember seeing different wrist bands associated with different sections of the resort.
I THINK that just walking there is not a problem. Staff is really friendly. However, actually sitting in the Hideway section with your kids might be a problem. The Hideway is Adults Only, so they will follow that 'rule'. There are indeed different wrist bands and even different coloured towels.
How the beach? Are there water sports or rentals?
Beach was awesome! 85 degree water, translucent green... a little bit of seaweed and algae, but not enough to be a deal breaker. No water sports or rentals on site that I saw, but I bet you could arrange with an excursion company for something similar. Also, I'd check with the resort or a travel agent...it could be different than when I went. We found that beach was a very quiet and tranquil place to be.
The beach had thousands of pounds of seaweed its unswimable.. look it up..FOOD ISnt that great lol but other than that its Awesome im here rite now rite now 3rf flooe in the 8 thousands lol..
Man prices have EXPLODED since this video, the cheapest I could find from Canada for 2 people is 6000$ for 7 nights that’s with 2 lay overs even 😮

It's beautiful but 10 hours on a plane is simply too much for me
It is a nice place but if you don't pay the extra money to be part of the diamond club you miss out on a lot of benefits and are at times treated like a second class citizen
