- We head back to Vietnam to see No Regrets 2, our new Seawind 1370 that has just started to be built. It has been about 12 weeks since we last visited the factory with the lamination commencing shortly after our visit. On this visit we discuss with James a few of the minor improvements Seawind has made to this already well designed boat.
WHO ARE WE?
We’re Chris and Jo and we have been living on our Seawind 1260 since January 2019. In our first year we bring our yacht down the east coast of Australia and sail it out to New Caledonia. After cruising further north up the east coast of Australia in 2020, we decide to circumnavigate Australia during 2021 and 2022. In 2023 we head back to New Caledonia and Vanuatu.
We had previously owned fishing and water skiing boats, but after a couple years crewing in South Australia we decided to jump right in and make a sea change.
We are just an ordinary Aussie couple exploring what this great world has to offer and hope that we can inspire others just as we were by watching other TH-cam channels to follow our dreams.

Nice that you and your mum can be involved in a project like this 👍
So excited to see your build. After following Nick and Terysa’s build, looking forward to see how efficient and quickly your build goes. My wife and I are nearly sold on the 1370. We can’t wait to see your splash day!
We haven't seen her since Feb, in real time she's only 4 months from launch and progressing rapidly. Hoping to fly over for an update soon
Good to hear. I just heard back that we’d be hull #797, with a completion date of Jan ‘28. Wow! The 1370 is in demand! Glad everything is going as scheduled for you.
Looks fantastic guys
Awesome, the build is flying along
Considering how many holidays there were, it is amazing how much has been done, and production is ramping up with better efficiencies!
Looks great Chris
What size anchor chain are they recommending?
Standard is 55m of 10mm, we have optioned for 90m of 10mm. Can also swap to 8mm high tensile to save 50kg on 55m. Personal choice on the size and weight savings if that is what you think is important
@@SailingNoRegretslots of debate on chain size out there , I heard Seawind were recommending smaller lighter chain , stick with the 10 mm at a minimum for your sized boat IMO even with modern SHHP anchors chain is a major factor in holding power and reset .
