GLOBAL CLIMATE FELLOWS AT BRANU FREE PLAY

🌍 This summer, I-DIEM proudly launched the Global Climate and Cultural Fellowship Program (GCCFP) in Ghana, West Africa, from our newly established Global Resilience & Outreach Center in Accra. This pioneering initiative offers undergraduate students a unique opportunity to engage in policy, advocacy, community engagement, and research, all centered around creating community-crafted resilience solutions (CCRS).
One of the most impactful experiences for our Global Fellows was visiting the seaside community of Branu. Our team provided school and art supplies for a "Free to Play" day, where the fellows not only supported the activities but also gained firsthand insight into how climate change is affecting this frontline community. Seawater encroachment is a growing threat that will eventually force Branu's residents to migrate further inland.
From Ghana to coastal Louisiana and even Miami Beach, Florida, sea-level rise is a global challenge that impacts communities across the world. 🌊🌴
