Audi A3 2004 1.6 FSI Stuttering engine when idle problem

So the situation goes as follows: Audi A3 2004 1.6 petrol FSI, 150.000 km on the clock, engine has been stuttering like this for about 4 months. I've checked the injectors and their fine, i've checked the timing chain and its fine, a bit used but nothing out of the ordinary, cylinder head and pistons are fine. I've basically undone all the engine 2-3 times, and found nothing wrong. I'm out of ideas, if anyone has ever had this problem before and knows the solution, please share it.

Have you already fix the Problem? I have the same Problem with my engine. Maybe the trigger ring on the rear Main seal is mounted in the wrong angle.... Regards

I have same problem, but no idea how to fix it. Did you fix it ?? I replaced spark plug, ignition coil, checked fuel pressure. But the engine stil goes wrong.

still no fix yet, I've talked with another mechanic and he said that the timing chain needs replacing, and that the car software needs rewriting. Haven't done any yet, I'll post a update when I'll get it done.

Hi man, the common issues with that engine are fuel delivery related...
I recommend you to check the injectors and the high pressure fuel pump, try to swap injectors to see if missfires changes with injector :D
Before all you have to scan fuel banks in vag com to see if bank is leen or rich and scan for codes
and i recommend to do compresion test, compresion test whill tell you more obout engine condition and leaking valves or burnt valves :D

I'm having literally minor related issues with a new car .. i see the Ignition coils are a common issue but I've found a common issue which may be playing a factor .. search "Audi A3 EGR Easy Fix' and let me know if its helps
