Instead, she used that Freebie on such an Easy $200K Scrabble Question, nod to Chuck Woolery. I feel bad for the rest of the team, but not the Captain, especially when Led Zeppelin was such an obvious choice for a correct answer.
My bone to pick with Sohini is that she used the Freebie on the $200,000 question THEN went to the $500,000 question with no Freebie. I don't know about the Scrabble question being easy, but I wholeheartedly agree with you that Sohini wasn't a good captain at all. She was better off stopping after her team's $200,000 win. It's never a good idea to use the Freebie on the $200K question then advance to the next question where your team has to get the best 4 out of 7. It's too risky. Three other teams after Sohini's have done this (that I'm aware of) and of those teams, 2 of them did win but it's still an egregiously risky move that shouldn't be done. The other team that lost, their captain actually saved the Freebie on $200K AND $500K. That was stupid.
They should bring this show back. Except the milestone question should be 100k and in case if someone lost between 200k and 2m the team should walk away with at least 100k. Also the host should offer the team 10 percent of the money at 500k until 2m.
I agree that the show should be brought back no doubt, but without Chuck Woolery. Also, I think this format was perfect the way it was. I don't know about $100K being the milestone question, because the whole thing with the team losing everything if they miss a question made the game so suspenseful and fun to watch if they have a $100K safety net, there's no risk in going for $200K since they're going home with $100k anyway. Super Greed already had a safety net away, after a team wins the $1 million question. Also, what do you mean 10 percent of the money? Chuck DID offer the team 10% of the money to the team for however much the question was worth.
Jarod Young came back to Greed, made to the Greed Team, and won $200,000, for surviving the Terminator. Julie McCormick won $100,000 & Captain Ric Barboza won $210,000.
Ric won $210K in part because when the Terminator landed on him before the $500,000 question he challenge then eliminated Avie Hern, out of spite for making that crass comment saying he shouldn't have used the Freebie on the $200,000 "because Americans don't have high-browed tastes" whatever the hell that was supposed to mean lol. I bet after he was eliminated and they won the question, Avie regretted making that comment. 😁😁
The $200,000 on holidays was super easy but I do feel bad for gene though cause he admitted that he should’ve said Easter instead of Father’s Day but good thing he admitted he made a mistake and took the $20,000 right away I can tell that his teammates were not happy even though they all got 5 grand a piece that’s better then nothing
#ReuploadGreed Who thinks Dwayne would've been better Captain than Sohina if the Freebie was saved for $500K then bailed out on the wrong answer? And in Consolation, Don (CR or Greed) was able to get redemption on CAMOUFLAGE 2007 to win $5,000. (Donovan/Adrienne/Don)
I thought Sohini was pretty but yeah she wasn't a good captain at all. I think that team would've been better off as a seated player. Or better yet she should've stopped at the $200,000 level especially since she already used the Freebie on the $200,000 question so advancing to the $500,000 was an unnecessary and recklessly-risky move.
@@robbyosborne9708 plus I bet if gene would’ve used the freebie it probably would’ve took thanksgiving away and gene still would’ve said Father’s Day my guess
Yes. The Qualifying Round answers are taken high or low. Remember at the end of the 2-hour premiere Curtis and Melissa were tied despite different answers but they were the same distance from the correct answer?
I MIGHT hope you're not the captain on my team then because i'd love to be on a team that plays for $500,000 since that level is my favorite part of the game, but then again taking home $40,000 after a $200k isn't all that bad so I guess i wouldn't be too mad at you if you stopped on $200k

Three other teams after Sohini's have done this (that I'm aware of) and of those teams, 2 of them did win but it's still an egregiously risky move that shouldn't be done. The other team that lost, their captain actually saved the Freebie on $200K AND $500K. That was stupid.
I highly doubt MJ would have been removed by the freebie, I would bet it would have been Whitney Houston.
Gene was the Wise Captain to win money.
@@ramibaghdadi1255 Besides Led Zeppelin? Perhaps.
Yes at the 200 and 500k questions just in case if they think the answers were wrong

That’s true.
I'd love to know the correct answer to that McDonalds question today.
As of 2023, there was at least one McDonald's in 118 countries, so only one additional country more than 20 years after this episode aired.
I agree
andrea should of called out
sohini
Or Dwayne.
It is actually Zelig.
35:13 Father’s Day wrong answer and I knew it to
Well, at least Gene made the right decision taking the 20 grand deal.
@@robbyosborne9708 yep he sure did
@@robbyosborne9708 plus I bet if gene would’ve used the freebie it probably would’ve took thanksgiving away and gene still would’ve said Father’s Day my guess
I don’t think Father’s Day was ever popular with hallmark greeting cards I knew Mother’s Day was for sure but I’m glad gene took the cash
I wish they would make a reboot of this show.

hooman knew it was wrong
At least Gene made the right decision to take the $20,000 deal.
I knew it was wrong to I knew it was Easter no doubt but at least gene admitted he made a mistake and took the cash right away smart move gene
It is my first mistake I have to fix.
Why are rich people always the contestants? I mean "Rocket Scientist" "Limosine company owner" "Attorney"?
Imagine guessing worse than 64% on the opening question....did you think it was 50% or something?? Terrible.
At about 36:30 I figured it to be $600. Would that have been a 4 way tie since 3 guessed $500, but all 4 would have been $50 from the correct answer?
Yes. The Qualifying Round answers are taken high or low. Remember at the end of the 2-hour premiere Curtis and Melissa were tied despite different answers but they were the same distance from the correct answer?
12:17 - How ironic of that question since Woolery hosted Scrabble for 6 years.
It is actually Everytime our team misses a question on GREED, they would lose everything.
i like to see this on gsn,but it's not possible, due to his politics, but you'll never know.
I need the rules if it's a long one take your time

If I got through $200,000 successfully with just 4 players including me I would NEVER proceed forward!
I MIGHT hope you're not the captain on my team then because i'd love to be on a team that plays for $500,000 since that level is my favorite part of the game, but then again taking home $40,000 after a $200k isn't all that bad so I guess i wouldn't be too mad at you if you stopped on $200k
@@hiltonlive32grnrngr For me, it depends on the category. If it's a category like Food, Beverages, Movies, Sports, Music, Timeline, or Geography, I would definitely like to go for it and hope that my captain decides to go for it. But, if it's a category like Money, Technology, Fashion, Advertisements, or Television, I would want to stop.
I would have gone with Digital Video Disc.
