The year 2000 felt so futuristic while we lived it. Kids my age wanted a Razor scooter, or the upcoming Playstation 2. EVERYONE wanted a DVD player, and it really displayed the picture with a clarity unseen on those old VCRs. I remember it being really rainy that year, kinda foggy, even down here in SoCal. I listened to Fuel and Train a lot, and I really got into Coldplay's first album.
The future felt like it was ours. We basically got an extra year of the 90s with a futuristic, post-Y2K sheen on it. It was ours but we somehow lost it along the way. Rest in peace to those innocent souls lost since. It was the end of our last golden age.
As an old soul person for 2000, I'm getting the chills.

I love Greed and watching the old episodes on here but wow I never knew a victim of 9-11 was on the show and a pilot no less. Him getting chosen by the Terminator here is literally one of the most chilling things I’ve ever seen due to the fact that about a year later he would die so tragically. May he and all the other victims continue to rest in peace. 😭😭😭 #neverforget

I just noticed that the second team of this episode (or third if you count Tely's team as the first team) began with the qualifying question asking how many letters in the word "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious". I remember that qualifying question from seeing this episode on FOX and i also remember Chuck saying answer without counting or something like that lol
I knew the answer to that one because I saw it was 34 letters somewhere

it's a stupid rule the captain may only change 1 answer when there're 4 correct answers, so if more than 1 gives a wrong answer it's impossible toget all answers correct

Goes to show that the position of Captain isn’t necessarily earned, it’s just given, with a good amount of Luck involved. Imagine if there were some Smarter Captains than Jeff & Wick, who were both Incompetent & Stupid
Given, by getting the closest on the qualifying question, yes. As for "incompetent & stupid", if you want to direct that at Jeff, I'll give you that all day every day. However, I can't say the same for Nick. Yes, he tossed out what turned out to be a correct answer for a wrong one but to Nick's defense, Brian gave the answer on a complete guess admitting he wasn't sure. Nick thought he had a good strategy changing the answer, it just didn't work out in the end.
@@hiltonlive32grnrngr As far as Nick, even if he wasn’t that sure, he should’ve trusted his team more than himself. Even Chuck admonished him for talking his way out of the right answer, which is always a red flag in any game show. At times when you’re not sure, it’s always better to go with your Gut instead of your Mouth, like Nick did, and I believe the rest of the team felt the same way like “What Were You Thinking?!”
I’m guessing Robert didn’t feel confident when he said spats.
That final $200,000 question on animals of breeds of horses was super tough cause I did not know either one but I’m glad they used the freebie and it paid off
Same here. I thought they were going to get wrong. Thank goodness they didn't. The only one that I knew for sure was a breed of horse was, "Tennessee Walking" since I am from the state of Tennessee.

I believe that $500K Category: Soft Drinks; I think that was later used on a Super Greed $1Million Question months later. Maybe had LT would’ve known, he might have gone for it.
Yes, I think that was the category/question reused for Phyllis Harris' group on Super Greed. Then again, LT had already used the Freebie on that horse breeds question and playing the $500k question with no Freebie is quite dangerous with a slim chance of success so i agree with his decision to stick with the $200,000, especially when that question about horses was a bit tricky as is.

Frustrating to see not one but two captains change right answers. If you're not sure you're better off accepting. At least if it's wrong the loss is only on one of your shoulders instead of both. At least Tely was faced with a wrong answer.
Well, in Tely's case, both the original answer and the newly selected answer were wrong, so if I were in Rachel's position (or in another position and it wasn't my question) I would very easily forgive Tely. In Jeff's case, all he had to do was leave the answers alone and to add insult to injury Jeff even said he wasn't sure if the answer was right, so why change it to begin with? I would've wanted to right Jeff's neck in the parking lot, whether it was my answer he changed or not.

The $200,000 question is where it begins to get tricky. If I was the captain, I'd just stop at $100,000, so my team wouldn't go home empty-handed.
Then your teammates will probably want your head. Ask the teams of Johnathan Brownley and Carra Robertson. Both those captains stopped at $100,000 and their teammates were not happy.
In college greed, I’m okay with stopping at $100000 so all the students get $ for college. Any other game, not as much but in case of 1st team to do it, they saw how previous team performed & captain didn’t want to make same mistake.
