Baby proofing when crawling: cupboards, plugs and corners. Shut bed room doors, block stairs, secure any thing that can fall off onto the baby. Make sure there’s no stray dog poo’s anywhere because everything goes in a babies mouth… trust me lol
You should always let the water just chill with a bit of cleaner. But I’d guess you got what a 20 gallon (75 liters) tank if so just get a pleco and you can feed them very small bit and they will clean the glass of alga with you
