Glad to see you getting back to basics in this one. This is a great video to show to beginners and a great reviewable for intermediates. Love it!

I'm certainly no great tutor, but it works for me- and that's good enough for I'm sure 90% of the people out there :) Thanks!

Rewatching this. Gives great advice and explanation. Very glad you did this step by step video.
(I posted a LOT of comments on your other videos with a lot of questions. I wonder if this one will stick 🙄)

You do, I know. But some of the comments I did, disappeared. It's odd. I gotta figure out what I'm doing wrong 🤷‍♂️.
Thanks again for the videos. They help a lot.
      YOU-DA-MAN Mr ATANK 😁

Thank you for the feedback; I appreciate it.
Unfortunately my shooting location isn't the greatest for audio, or was the music too loud?

@@GMAtank audio was just low volume mostly. I needed to use aux audio to amplify volume some. Maybe it's just me though?
      Thanks for the links!

@@sikfahq I will keep that in mind for next editing time. I'm still somewhat new to this :)

@@GMAtank side subject: theres a lot of discount minis for sale online, many are made with 3D printers...I can tell by the grooves all along the minis. Way to much stuff to be sanding or scraping with a tool. Any practical solutions or just dont buy the cheaper minis?

    • @GMAtank
      @GMAtank  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@sikfahq I have only painted one 3d miniature and it was good, once primed with quality primer. If the model has too many intricacies, the quality will suffer, regardless of the resolution they print it on.
You will always get the best quality with cast metal or plastic miniatures. Even cheap models from the dollar store can be cleaned up, primed and look better than some cheap 3d printed ones.
Final thought, always make sure you're looking at a picture of a printed miniature, NOT. A 3D render that is photoshopped gently to look more realistic.

At :51 seconds, I painted that same figure. Everything turned out pretty good except I could not follow the cross on the shield. Maybe it was the paint I used, I don't know. I just ended up painting a generic cross on mine. Yours looks good!

Thanks Michael. That was one of the first models I painted when I started with the hobby.
I think painting is great! I hope I can keep it up for a long time :)
