Pixel resale value “or the lack thereof” is what drew me to the devices. I’ve always been an iPhone user and haven’t messed around with Android since the Note 2 days. I saw these, the P6P, and P7-P7P were all in the $300 range refurbished, which is insane for a phone that $899 a year or two ago. I picked up a P6P and fell in love with the experience and cameras, and honestly started using it about as much as my 14 Pro Max (which has my sim.) I ended up breaking the P6P display and it’s not worth fixing. Got a refurb P7P for $340 and haven’t been happier. It’s an incredible value for money.
So you couldn't be bothered to do the smallest amount of research? 0:59, GMKK3 is one of 3 NR FR1 variants of the Pixel 7a; it's the one primarily sold in multiple markets. The other NR FR1 variants are the GHL1X (which is primarily for China & Japan) and the G82U8 (the Japan only model with FeliCa NFC support). Though, given you're seemingly an American, you should have purchased the NR FR1+FR2 variant, the G0DZQ. Will assume you don't know what FR1 & FR2 represent. FR1 is Frequency Range 1, which is sub 6 GHz New Radio ("5G") FR2 is Frequency Range 2, which is above 6 GHz New Radio ("5G"), like millimeter wave (mmWave). 1:20, that is not the included charger, as the 7a doesn't include one in its original packaging.
@@ballinn0430 agreed. I have the 7a and my parents wanted to get me it through spectrum but my grandma let me put it on Verizon (which is way better than spectrum)
I bought a refurbished Samsung Note 5 about 6 or 7 years ago and it arrived pretty much the same way. In a generic white box like that with a cheap power brick and cable with it. Screen had some light scratches on it but the black glass back cover had no scratches or blemishes. Still works fine to this day although I stopped using it daily years ago.
Watching this on my pixel 8 pro love it 5x better than trash apple also spectrum mobile is good idk why idiots hate its better than paying 150$ for Verizon or 135$ for T-Mobile
Never even heard of spectrum mobile lol My pixel lasts just about all day with the 60hz refresh rate and running an animated wallpaper Emulation is hit or miss Not enough storage to cancel music streaming services I turned off the "iPhone like" gestures immediately after using the dreadful XR for a year
@@orangeyellow-me1pz I feel you, I went this route a long time. I bought music from bandcamp mostly. I buy cassette now. YT music is bundled with yt premium so it was an easy option to just pay, one of the few bills I have that aren't necessity
I got one for $340 on Amazon in “excellent” condition and it was literally new. Had to be a returned unit because it had 1 cycle on the battery and had the Google screen wrap still in place. I was annoyed at the price until I saw the phone.
For a "tech channel", I don't get the ignorance of a lot of what is said or not known in the video. The white cube is modeled after the official iPhone/iPod chargers for a good 6-8 years. And then saying the Pixel 7a was new a year ago, then saying "for 1-2 years". Just very strange from what I noticed. But maybe it gets the views.
It's ironic you call this ignorance, when in fact your comment is ignorant. What does the charging brick being modeled after iphone chargers have to do with anything? We didn't talk about that at all in the video..? The charging brick is literally just a cheap 1 amp brick. Yes the pixel 7a came out less than a year ago, but it was not really top of the line compared to phones at that point. Hence why I'd say it's somewhat comparable to being top of the line compared to phones a year or *two* ago. It's also just an off the cuff comment and it's really confusing that you care to be that nitpicking over a comment like that. I honestly have no idea what you're trying to get at with this comment. To say we're posting "ignorant" and "very strange" content is just an absolutely obscene statement when everything in this video was extremely straight forward. 🤡
It's not a real phone by the looks of it even though it said its a refurbished phone. E Bay is the last place I would buy a phone from. You have definately been scammed.
@@lizvickers7156 What do you mean not a real phone bro 😭it is clearly a real Pixel 7a with all the bells and whistles besides being carrier locked. There is no need to have a stigma against eBay as they are very reliable and have excellent customer protections.
Anyone use a Pixel phone as a daily driver?
Pixel 2, hand me down from my parents.
Had every pixel since 5 and dont regret switching onto the 8 pro now and the non a models are worth the upgrade
Pixel 6a. I bought it in September. It is the best ever phone I will ever use...
Pixel 6a, it's a budget phone but its still really nice
Nope but i have tried unofficial pixel software recreations a bit
its called pixelos
you should call this: iphone user discovers android
I mean Danny quite literally says in the video that he has not used an android device in many years... lol

Hold on, it’s two people on this channel?

I don't think Brooke cares I'm a bfr he was just trying to make a video
I've never seen someone tear a phone box apart so aggressively 🤣
I done it before lol 😂
The 13 pro is a couple years old and so is the pixel you tested. Seems like a fair test on wifi.
13 pro is 3 gen old 7a is 2 gen old also it was an A series phone with is base while the iPhone was pro one
I think I know why it was cheap: its a Verizon model which has a locked bootloader
No one wants a Spectrum phone.

I just paid $220 for one of those but it was unlocked it is a wonderful phone
I guess my question is did it get advertised as being locked to the carrier Spectrum or was it advertised as being unlocked?
DKoldies packaging job
😂
Yeah, all those gestures that Apple lifted from Palm. None of the iSheeple said a word about that.

One of the many reasons I got an Xperia. I need my music stored locally. Im not paying money for that.

the 13 pro matches the 6 series but the a models are a lower spec etc but use the same chipset
