They are still using TSN's Connections, but it is that awkward part where they could grow bigger if they were a separate channel. The only reason I'm not subbed is because when I did subscribe, I see all this TSN content I don't want to see.

I agree Jessie. Not sure Jets are a "B" team after they just had a franchise record season. Despite playing in the toughest Division, Jets finished 4th OVERALL and are the top Cdn team in the standings. Theyre also the Best Defensive Shutdown Team in the NHL with under 200 Goals against. Too much focus was placed on Offence when making these picks, but as we all know, its Defence that wins Cups. (below Colorado and Edmonton is just disrespectful)

Yeah they have (9) 50 plus point scorers. That is so much harder to game plan for than one line with multiple 90 plus point scorers.

There's really no point in making a tier list if the entire bottom half is basically empty. You need to lower the standard in that case and make C more relevant as the new B, for example. You then have more wiggle room to separate teams in B and A instead of putting 90% of the teams on the same line.
It’s so wide open literally apart from my Leafs, Isles & Caps I cud make a case for any of the others winning the SC got to love the parity in the NHL! Can’t wait to watch the Jets AVs series, Bolts Panthers, and Stars VGK, just hope they not all on at the same time😏

I’m a Leafs fan and even I know Jets should be in A even tho we didn’t lose to them in the Regular season, Hellerbuyck has got hot at the right time, they have better D than Colorado and a far better goaltender which is why they beat Avs in 6 games! Jets Oilers Conference final imho!

I like the personalities and premise of the show. But these guys are still mainly eastern hockey fans. Very lnsightful opinions on teams that they watch. But rely on stats and other media’s insight for teams they don’t. Don’t get me wrong. People need to sleep. But if your show is going to represent all fans in this country. Put the work in. Or just be honest with your knowledge/opinions. Or lack there of.

I don't see the premise for your complaint. The guys chose Dallas as the top team, and 3 out of 4 took Western teams to win the cup. That is not evidence of an East Coast bias. The second point I have to make is that their comments were just their opinion, and in case you didn't notice, opinions among them vary widely. As should be expected. I am unsure what you thought they should have done differently.

It’s being on a national platform(TSN) and having a show that is supposed to be for all Canadian hockey fans. Yet they choose to not put the work in or just straight cater to one particular area of the country. This is there full-time jobs. So either put the effort into knowing all of the teams. Good or bad. And having a actual opinion based on full knowledge. Everyone has their opinions. But they should be educated opinions.

All the love for the Avs that got embarrassed last year by the Kraken, who had the best 5v5 team in the league last year. Well, guess who has that distinction this year? The Jets scored the most 5v5 and has the best 5v5 goal differential in the league.

I don't buy it. Look at last playoffs. If MacK is so much of a game breaker, how did an inferior team like the Kraken beat a 1 seed? That Avs team was better than this year's version, and the Jets are better than the Kraken this year.
Also, they kept saying you can't take the season into account because it's a different beast, in which the Jets dominated the avs. Then in the very next breath they draw on the Avs past success over two post seasons ago...

Wyatt Johnston is TWENTY years old and he has 32 goals. If the 2021 draft was redone today, Johnston might legitimately go #1. HE would certainly go top 3. And he's one of the most entertaining and creative players to watch on a nightly basis in the NHL. His personality is hilarious too.
Why isn't he a star? Because (ironically) he plays for the Dallas Stars, and channels like Bardown do not talk about their individual talents.

The reason you feel unsure about the Oilers is because they're a team of individuals, instead of a group of individuals making a team. Also, they might be too soft to win the Cup. Oilers Fan since '81. Hoping, but not confident.;( Are the Canucks the most disrespected team in the NHL this year? I think so. Vegas' weakness is definitely goaltending. Hill has been injury plagued all season. I think LT gets the start.
New to this show it’s quite interesting love the insight. I do think the FL cats are amazing and love watching. Them (from here in FL) . The Canucks were for some reason way too lowly considered and the Jets as well!

Based Jessie ⚡⚡⚡⚡. Although I'm a Tampa fan, I would have put them in C. Vasy has had a down year after his back surgery right before the season and their defense has been an issue (even before the Sergachev injury). Also, their Bottom 6 is completely dead weight on offense.
I will say that if the Power Play can be automatic (as it's shown to be at times), they can beat anyone. Their Penalty Kill has been sneaky strong this year as well.

I will die on the hill that Edmonton and Toronto are the biggest FRAUDS in the NHL. They're good teams that are given TOO MUCH credit because of their high end talent, but lack the goaltending and defense to actually do something of value in the playoffs. Edmonton should've been B tier and Toronto C

@@DrTieYT honestly I gained a lot of respect for them in their deep playoff run. I still believe Skinner isn’t the guy gonna win you a cup, or even in the top 10 goalies in the league, but that team in general proved me wrong and shoved they have more grit than I originally expected. They proved they have what it takes to get it done, just ran into a better team with an actual goalie. No longer frauds in my mind, but if they fumble this season then probably will go back to my original thoughts on them being the Toronto of the west
Lots for exciting matchups but the battle of Florida and the battle of the leafs sanity are going to be straight up blood baths as well as the second round matchups coming out of that
Genuinely love this list, only thing I don't agree with is Oilers, They are on that cusp of A/B but looking at the other teams they are closer to Jets Leafs Bruins Lightning then they are to Canes Rangers Panthers Avs Vegas. Kings could move down too but I get why they are in B (They can beat Oilers for sure which is why Oilers are too high.) Winner of Stars Vegas goes to the cup final for me, Canes win it all.
I sure hope all the remaining teams are as in the dark about the 2023-2024 Oilers as you guys are... :-)

That being said, they’ve got to shed the demons of last year and prove they’re capable of another deep run to the cup. Tough task, but I believe they’re ready.

Canucks beat the oilers 4 times this year played 15 games with there backup and still finished that segment of the season with the 2 points less then the first 20 games won the pacific and almost won the west and they are a B tier.
