I have an idea now,am going to use beetroot as a natural color. I don’t want any artificial color. Thanks so much for this video,it gives me an idea on how to create mine.

How come I didn't get a notification for this video! I came here looking for how to make kelewayle tmrw😂(I have 4 over-riped plantains and was tempted to trash 'em...but figure I'd make something with it instead and no telling how hyped up I am right now seeing this video "how to make coconut candy", one of my all time favorite sweets from home(must admit i forgot all about it) simply simple, colorful and delicious treat! You make it look so appetizing. Im sure my hubby and kiddos would love it. However though🤔 I think I would like to add some walnuts in it( what do u think sis and at what point can I add it in?) Where can I get the food coloring from? Would like to make multi colors. You are awesome Winn. You bring joy, tradition and pride to my family dinning table through your videos 🙏 I'm proud to make variety of foods from home for them. Thank uu!😘

First of, thanks for the love, support, and the compliments🙏🏽❤️. for the walnuts, i have not use it before in coconut candy but i'll suggest adding it at the very end when the liquid is almost dry. maybe try half of the candy with roasted walnuts and the other with raw walnuts and see which one you'll like better. For the food coloring you can get it from any grocery store in the baking section but i got mine from amazon.

Use a ice cream scoop to shape the candy, safely

If you’re going to use that much sugar, it’s probably best to use unsweetened coconut flicks or fresh coconut.
