I'm so glad I came across your channel. I never knew what this soup was called growing up but I loved it and missed it. Thanks for making it. I'll definitely have to make it in the future. 😁😁
Here from yekepa nimba county thanks for representing LIB ! I enjoyed this gb this morning so delicous we need to send the okra dust and the real cassava for the gb buy very good my sister!
I absolutely love GB soup! I was introduced to Liberian food by some amazing friends (they were quite impressed that a white guy from Iowa would eat and love GB soup)! I have since moved and miss them and the wonderful Liberian foods they shared with me. I will have to make my own now that I have found a recipe that looks identical to what they made. Any chance you could do a video on pepper fish or pepper soup?
Girl I’m from east Africa but my husband is from the west side. Your video is easy to follow and since I followed your recipe my husband just want to be eating it everyday🤣🤣. I love it myself too, thank you so much❤️ please do more recipes I love your channel
I really don’t know if they have another name for it but the worlor seeds looks similar to bitter kola(the worlor is slippery but the bitter kola is not)
No they are not dried bitter balls. They are from certain tree in my country ( I don't know the tree name). You can find it in an African/Liberian food market.

Is there another name for worlor I really can't get it here in Nigeria guest they have it but with another name perhaps
I really don’t know if they have another name for it but the worlor seeds looks similar to bitter kola(the worlor is slippery but the bitter kola is not)
It’s called ogbono or apon
I googled obgono seeds and it's not the same as worlor
Tolla is another name for wollo/wollor
Wow thank you so much
Good cook. Good job
Thanks
Ok
I’m not able to find walla😢
Is ground dry okra the same? Can I use frozen okra

Is wolof the same as slippery dust?
yes
What is worlor ?
Is anyone else screaming NOOOOOOOO for the metal spoon in the nonstick skillet 😮
I didn’t even realized that till now lol
I bought the powder, it says Tola is that the same thing ?
I think so
What are the yellow seeds? Are they dried bitter balls ?and where can I get them
No they are not dried bitter balls. They are from certain tree in my country ( I don't know the tree name). You can find it in an African/Liberian food market.
It's mustard seed
I don't think so because mustard seeds are smaller than the yellow seeds.
The yellow seeds looks like apki seed
yes, the apki seeds do look like the yellow seeds. I think that's it.
You should make Lib spaghetti too please
I got you. that's on my list.
