I have started learning BSL only recently. It would be nice if you could put the conversation in text below the video so that I could understand the context, I got a little lost after asking about deaf or hearing.
Great video to practise understanding conversations though.

I can't emphasise enough that facial and body expressions are vital to any BSL communication. Hearing British people find this quite difficult, but observe any of the videos here on the sidebar and see just how fundamental we need to use our face and body. RobertK.

I'm 10 and trying to learn proper BSL I used to have a club where I teach kids basic signs in my club at school but now that we've got lockdown I've decided to learn properly and maybe start my club up again so this is really useful and I test myself to see if I can understand

I started learning BSL about a couple of weeks ago and it was great to see me pick up some signs at the beginning of the video. I'll make sure to come back later when I know more, to test myself again. Tysm 😄

I might be wrong but I think this is the first minute of what is said-
    Man: hello. How are you?
Girl: I’m good thank you, how are you?
Man: I’m good thank you. What’s you’re name?
Girl: my name is Beth shearing
    Man: thank you
    Beth: what is your name?
    Man: my name is George
Beth: sorry I missed that. Could you repeat please?
Man: yes. My name is George.
    Beth: George?
George: yes. Nice to meet you (I think)
Beth: Nice to meet you too.
George: thank you. Are you deaf?
    Beth: no I am hearing
    George: hearing yes.
    Beth: are you deaf?
George: kind of. I am hard of hearing. (I inferred that). See, my hearing aid.
Feel free to correct me :)

It all depends on what level of learning you are on. Most of the time that is about the same sort of pace that people sign to one another, Hope this helps.

I am missing a few signs for the second minute:
    -Where do you live?
-I leave near a place called Branksome.
    -I know Branksome. (How far?)
-maybe 2 ….(don’t know this sign)
    -2 …?
    -where do you live?
    -i live in Poole.
    -Poole?
    -yes. Maybe 5-6 (something).

it almost looks like he said something along the line of "half hearing". He can hear in his left ear perfectly fine. He signed "left ear good" But its just a guess.

The nodding clenched fist (th-cam.com/video/hCJOZ5lZQbo/w-d-xo.html) means "yes", I think it's widely used slang though or so I've been told, he then follows it with three signs "happy", "meet" and "you" so "happy to meet you". Flowing conversations are what I've found the most difficult about sign language, but maybe also watch out for regional variations, a word can be one sign in one part of the country and quite another somewhere else.
