    This is an interesting video, seeing this young strong player swing a senior shaft and have it out preform his X stiff shaft is amazing. The video doesn't explain the physics but I get it. I recently switched from a 60g Regular shaft to a 50g senior or R2 shaft and gained 20 yards.What was even more even better I have been hitting went from 79% FIR to 84% FIR over the last 10 rounds. My average spin rate went from over 4000rpm's to 2900rpm"s

    This kind of confirms a thing I just experienced. I have a TM M2 #3hybrid with a regular SS shaft that I have absolutely fought with for 2 seasons. Warming up for a round with my wife the other day, I took her 3h with a shorter, much more flexible shaft and hit absolute bombs with it, and my pull and slice issues went away. I'm 5'7", so the length was ok. I'm in my 50s , so I've lost some of the strength and flexibly of my youth, and I'm really starting to think that going shorter, lighter, more flexible across my whole set might be the thing. (My set was not fitted for me, just off the rack).
    Congratulations on the new channel, best of luck with it, and I'll keep watching both channels.

    You have convinced me. This is another good example with a pretty strong player. I have tried a couple shafts, 50g stiff Evenflow Riptide which you recommended in another video with Mr Shortgame, and also a 60g 5.5 hzrdus im10 and had really good results on course. They allow you to swing easier. I have had a round where I hit every fairway and another with my lowest score ever. Just ordered a new callaway with 50g 5.5 hzrdus silver on Black Friday sale. My gut keeps telling me I should have gotten stiff but this video helps reaffirm 😂

      I always like using better golfers on these tests because they can repeat the same swing over and over and thereby give us cleaner data. Using a less consistent golfer would require a much larger sample size I think to get good data. Not saying I won't in the future, but that's my reason why I don't use my own swing! 😅

      Im 95mph swing and the heavier shaft is harder work, easier to slice and flight/carry is less. I found 50g too hard to control, ball strikes all over the face with some balloons. I do use the lighter shaft in my fairway wood though as I want higher flight and shorter stopping distance.
      For driver a 60g stiff flex works best for my swing speed so for a 80mph swing I suggest you compare reg flex 60g to 45/50g A/L.

    Just got my Motore X in the mail, matched the exact specs in this video. Extremely whippy, easy to control the shape of the shot tho. I can tell there is a ton of energy being transferred to the ball because even the mishits were penetrating. I'll admit with range balls they overspin and with the balls what have almost no dimples the will apex and nosedive hard. I've got to see what this does with my gamer ball. Im pretty sure it's a winner.

    My old boss was a PGA professional class A member, long drive pro, and trick shot artist. He had a "club" he used for his trick shot shows. It was a garden hose with a driver head attached to the end of it. He could still hit that over 300 yards. Sometimes the softer shafts make you slow down a touch and be smoother.

    • @asdfjkl981
      @asdfjkl981 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Are you sure about the "over 300 yards" thing? with severe limitations in backswing and initial acceleration? How far does he hit it with a graphite shaft? 500 yards? is he thor or captain america? sounds like the stuff that comes out of the back of a male bovine

    • @industrialpalletworx3548
      @industrialpalletworx3548 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @asdfjkl981 💯 sure on the 300 yard part. He was the NCAA long drive champion twice. He was a 3 time All American along side Lee Janzen and Rocco Mediate. He hosted long drive competitions on the LDA Tour in the early 2000's and was a World Trick Shot Champion. You may gladly look him up. Ben Witter is his name. He was on his way to the PGA Tour right after college when he was diagnosed with cancer. I've personally seen the garden hose club hit balls over 300. It's all about creating centrifugal force properly. I've hit the exact same club and it's generally not hard to hit. I couldn't hit it that far, but I could still move it out there. I've seen him hit drives well over 375 carry up hill. He trained World Long Drive champ Carl Wolter out of reading. Carl acknowledges him in his winning interview during his 2nd win. It's on TH-cam.

      @industrialpalletworx3548 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @asdfjkl981 if I had the video I would certainly upload it. I think your concepts are a bit confused. You need speed moving into impact. Trying to be fast at transition is no bueno. Whether you believe it or not, doesn't really matter to me. I know what I saw repeatedly. It is quite literally the exact same concept as cracking a whip. Did you know almost all long drivers today use senior or ladies flex shafts. Why? Cracking the whip concept. Stiffness relates more to accuracy than distance. Softer shafts can provide more distance.

    After getting some fitting theory basics from Mobile, TXG and others………
    With 95 SP, 15° Launch, +2.5° AOA, 2,800 Spin
    Callaway Rogue SZ 9°, HZRDUS 65 gr, Stiff from local fitting
    Prolaunch Blue 45 gr, Reg, left 48” + Callaway adapter
    = no difference in distance or Dispersion
    Cut Prolaunch down to 45”
    = +5 yards, no dispersion difference, nice feel
    Add Callaway green tour adapter, turn down to 7°.
    =Boom + 15 yards total
    Conclusion……..
    Balls , shafts and clubs don’t study theory.

      Still looks like it fits the rules. Lighter weight shaft give move speed. More flexible shaft improves timing with lighter shaft. Length gets tricky because longer club will always lead to less consistent strike pattern.
      You also had good LA to start with so not surprising you can get more out of dropping a couple degrees of loft.
      But again all of this is just generalization. Might work well with one golfer, and be a disaster for another. That's golf.

    your vidoes are confusing. 1 video you say weight is more important than flex, another video you say weight has no impact on swing speed, and this one you say lighter weight is beneficial. SMDH Starting to think I cant take you seriously.

    it will be a little more" scientific" if you actually find a real 70 YO senior to do the video, lol!

    Consider checking out drivers from TMW - Titanium Metal Works. USA. Specialize in seniors super light drivers, e.g. light one total, head, shaft, grip as low as 247 gms. And they believe in longer shafts with these lighter weights, up to 48 in drivers (legal in private tournaments unless loca rules apply...they say). I had one, 47 in, finding center no problems really, worked well for me. Lighter also easier on my back problems. Try one out for us seniors okay? Should be very interesting. The shafts come in as low as 38 gms I think, R, S, A, lite etc. flex. Thanks for this review. Look forward to more in this format.
