I watched all the videos with Mulsannes on this channel, was impressed with the low revving engine and the torque figures at such low RPM. In addition it's mind-blowing that it is a V8 from 1950-s, that classical '6.75 litre' with single camshaft, pushrods and 2 valves per cylinder. While watching this night drive I suddenly realized that this German-British car is very American. That low revving big displacement single camshaft pushrod V8 with TORQUE, that sheer size of the car, the sheer mass of the car, the luxuriousness of the car... This is what a -8-liter- 488 ci V8 Cadillac could evolve into from the models of late 1960-s - early 1970-s.
Tedward, my head canon has you in a tux on your way to be a Bond super villain. This Bentley is the last word. It turns heads, but is understated as can be in doing it.
My friends tell me I’m weird because I like “Weird Cars” but I want to be the weirdest 32 Y/O driving this Mulsanne Speed as a daily or at least a Weekend car! I’m not there yet but will one day! To answer your pinned question, definitely a Rolls-Royce Phanton Aside that, even as an avid BMW/Rolls-Royce fan I seriously appreciate this video because it’s one of the first times I’ve felt I’ve gotten a good perspective to appreciate a Mulsanne 🤗

Moving on, I would like to know a detail here: on some websites, it states that the Mulsanne Speed version has a maximum power of 530 HP @ 4000 rpm and a maximum torque of 811 b-ft @ 1750 rpm. On the other hand, other sites mention 530 HP generated from 3500 to 4200 rpm, while the maximum torque of 811 lb-ft ranges from 1750 to 3250 rpm. Which information is correct? Or has there been any regulation change depending on the year and model of each Mulsanne? Thanks in advance, looking forward to your response.
This Bentley really looks to be like the perfect car for a Vermont weekend getaway.....if gas prices weren't so absolutely insane. Then again, I'm sure that's not a concern to the owners 🤣

I always liked the Mulsanne. It’s a shame they killed it off. The flying spur just doesn’t have the same presence.
