Paul Gascoine. Is diagnosed with Bipolar disorder Just like famous sports heroes Mike Tyson, Frank Bruno, Tyson Fury, Ron Artest, James Wade.
Diego Maradona screams Bipolar disorder also. The vices like addiction are symptoms of this grueling mental health condition.
As a person with the disorder myself i can relate with those guys and having ADHD can explain the binge eating sprees.

I'm a 48 year old Spurs fan (Tottenham) and Gazza was an absolute magician to watch. We had Glenn Hoddle ten years before who was a master of the game. Incidently, there seems to be quite a few Americans on this channel who may (or may not) see the game as other footballing Nations do - watch Gazza at 0.25 speed to truly appreciate what he was about - especially the penalty at 11:06.

Funny story. I knew knowthing about this guy. I only see him constantly in PES 2019 that I still play. He is rated 95 there. Based on his name, I thought he is Russian. He always scores against me and playing so well...He is my boogeyman there. I had no idea he is English 😅😅

I love your content but you failed big time to mention he is bipolar and was often suicidal. I'm bipolar and people don't understand the massive toll it can take on individuals life. Gazza has survived a illness that the Welsh coach Kevin speed died from and me also am surviving and to be honest it's the torrid time and stress to our being that make us look older.
I feel you need to rethink and maybe retrospectively you will restate your conclusions.
Gazza to me as a rapid cycling bipolar mental ill person is a case of success over illness and he's a hero to all mentaly Ill people

Great point brother, respect to all going through it and suffering. Didnt mean to slander Gazza in any way, but I think he definitely should have had better people trying to tackle his behavioral issues and discipline earlier on regardless. But understandable considering his childhood and still a legend for his skill and continuing to overcome them throughout his life

Nobody could dribble like Gazza, and we're still waiting for the next Paul Gasgoine today, he's the best dribbler of the ball I've ever seen but he was mentally unstable. From what I could see, he's brain was too fast, meaning that he couldn't sit still for one minute. He couldn't slow time down, as he had to be active all the time, so much so he suffered with insomnia. He's the most hyperactive footballer I've ever seen, the poor guy needed help, and the only man that might have got to him was Alex Ferguson for me. Gazza is simply far better than any player that we've seen in the last 20 years of the Premier League, as he made players look like armatures he as that good. I remember seeing him live, and it was like a grown man playing against a bunch of 16 year old teenagers as he completely dominated the game, his feet were like magic wands directing every moment of the game. There'll never be a player with so much talent and unfortunately, because he never had his rooted to the ground, he did not fulfil his potential. He should have won a world cup as he was by far the best footballer of his time.

Clear ADHD syndrome, helping him outside of the pitch (preferably starting in the early years) it would have been completely another history. Obviously in case of having found the right person to support him, indeed rare even nowadays.
But since money was not the point, with a bit of awareness by the people around him..
Sad. All the Best to him. Now and later.. 🌅💗🌅
