Brilliant format leading up to the awards. Emphasize that runners are training differently with individual expectations for the shoes. Looking forward to the awards.
I've only tried one of these. I bought the More V5 and have been so pleased with it. Not quite as soft as the 1080v13, but it makes up for it with even more foam! I just love this shoe!
Big fan of the Mizuno Neo Vista! So fun to run in and I have actually run two marathons, another coming up, in them. I am not a sub-3 or even sub-4 runner anymore as I am a senior, but I can still BQ in these. I chose to wear them instead of my SC Elite v.4 for the hillier marathons. I will definitely give the Asics Metaspeed Sky Paris a try. Thx
Tom and I have very similar taste in running shoes. Haha. I have all of these except for the Balos, which I'd like to try but only the relic brown colorway is available in the US, which I just can't get myself to like. Hey, for that kind of money, it'd better have the look I want. All the other shoes are great and best in class IMHO.
I got the Balos thinking I may never get the Superblast 2, then after week it became available. The Balos is bouncy and has a different dynamic with the mix of peba and eva. but the exposed eva contact rubber sole is a worry for me. Then the black rubber sections are quite inadequate to cover contact points of the sole.
Bought Mizuno Neo Vista on Tom's recommendation in previous video. Fantastic shoe, though they can be incredibly frustrating to put on (simple stuff like that getting harder as I approach 60). I rotate with Puma Deviate Nitro 3, Puma Deviate Nitro 2, & Saucony Triumph RFG (using Puma Deviate Nitro 2 Elite for 10 mile or longer races). Will definitely try recommended Asics and New Balance at shop before replacing any of those.
Q to Tom. I know you have been disapointed from the Triumph 22. Now that it is clear that the 22 are different from the 20&21 and are clearly max cushioned/easy days/long runs - how are they compared to other shoes which you like - hurricane (same foam but heavier), ghost max, gliceryn max, puma mag max, more v5? Waiting for your answer! Thanks
Love my Balos, the shoe ive been looking for a shoe like this for a while ... love it. On the other end I really don't like the Superblast 2, way too firm & clunky for me, ive done about 120km in it, just doesn't work for me at all. I have turned into a New Balance guy now, owning the SC Elite v4, Rebel v2, v3 & v4, (v2 the best of the these) & now added to Balos. great review mate
Good to chat at the Brighton 10k rocking the Cielos. I do shoe reviews too and more on my growing channel. Best wishes for Valencia. Just done Berlin and loved it.
Hello Tom. Love your picks and your channel too. Best regards from Mexico 🇲🇽. I’m going to run my 3rd half marathon and my target is sub 2. I have the cielo X1, SB 2, Mizuno and Metaspeed 1st version. Which would you pick up?
I’ve been using the Superblast 2 almost daily since I got it when it first released, have put about 700km on it, however on my most recent longer/ MP effort runs, its been feeling very uncomfortable under foot and almost bottoming out. Would you say the Neo Vista is a worthy replacement for the SB2?
In USA I have been able to find on ASICS website but I did have to check back somewhat frequently for a while before got them. Love the shoe and got a healthcare worker discount. Definitely with discount worth trying . At full price it is maybe worth it as can get easy longer runs and tempo workouts in them . Also foam is resilient so can get many more miles compared to softer Eva based foams I tried in new balance models .

I'm a big fan of your channel, the only thing missing is a test of headlamps for runners :)

Everybody says Superblast is expensive ...but I think its well priced for what it does and has
The cost of these shoes is just ridiculous. It's why I run in the Velocity Nitro's. Best value for the money, especially when on sale
We can always count on Tom for the goods.

great review mate
How’s the black rubber sections of the sole on your Balos?
Imagine making the sb2 in this perfect colorway and deciding to add an arbitrary blue stripe 😂
I agree with your picks! Same as me tehehe

Hello, best for walking and standing all day between NB MORE V5 and ASICS NIMBUS 25 (not 26) ?
First? Morning coffee and shoe reviews. Of course!!
…oh my, I have totally forgot about the balos, hmmm. good list, I have none of those shoes

I feel my ankles a little bit after about 15km with the SB2. Maybe is too firm? I also want to know about Neo Vista.
@@gutoslg3 Neo Vista should be much softer!
V4 vs v5?
Tom, Go Dodgers!
you forgot puma deviate nitro elite 3
Dodgers hat? I didn’t know you liked baseball.
superblast2, a product that most people can’t buy, it’s ridiculous

Pretty crappy to put a pic of the Cielo X1's in the cover image and then not have it on the list.
It was pick no. 3
@@emmalewin7493 Pick 3 was the Asics Metaspeed Sky Paris. The Cielo's were in the cover image but NOT in the video at any point.
