An average 3d resin printer costs 300$, wash and cure that isn't necessary costs 100$ together, few litres of resin cost 100$ at max, an stl of every single part of the Warlord titan I found on cults was for free. A complete set for 3d printing costs four times less than the actual product.

I mean its shooting a miniature star at the enemy.. and that is damage just for the friendly units. On the other end, ou boy...

Well I have to say, Warlord Titan is something that I DEFINITLY want to use, but the points are just...
At least I can put it as a display, that's cool
well i've seen enough warlord fire to know it's guns are the general delete button of the imperium and chaos :)
You know that moment in the movie Ready Player One, where one of the characters could choose to be/pilot any mech? Gundam was cute and everything but this is the mech I'd choose. Goodbye mechagodzilla.
I haven't seen the movie but you might run into an issue of being able to pilot it as it typically takes a multi-man crew. Otherwise, go for an Emperor or a Warmonger to really turn the horizon into craters.
Once weapons have ranges greater than 72", I start asking the question of why the platform that has this weapon would deploy on the table, rather than farther away. A titan with a volcano cannon, quake cannon, and apocalypse launcher could be several feet off the table, and still going ham on the enemy while wrecking buildings.
It would make sense fluff wise to give the titan player a couple turns of shooting before the opponent gets to do anything.
Apparently it has a ballet dancer for a machine-spirit, because it's very light on its feet!
Should have a negative to hit infantry/small units.
As much as I want a giant God machine in my collection I k ow my painting and hobby skills wouldn't do it justice.
If I could I think forwarding it to squidmar (or similar) for another charity give away would be best. Get a nice video series, the warlord get the paint it deserves. And a charity gets some support too!
I just ordered one and this is what I am worried about. I don't want to mess it up in the building or painting process
@@stormygeo I have a mate that's getting a reaver titan. It's a full blown ordeal with him. He's got a couple of posters of one to test colour schemes. He's doing a full journal of it all too. It's going to be his project for this year.
@@Twuggus same here, and it will probably take me all year to complete lol
I would highly suggest sorting through the box yourself once you get the model. Especially if the winner ends up being overseas as it would be a pain trying to get parts replaced if they are missing or warped beyond repair.
I remember a channel did a battle of Necrons vs a Warlord where the Necrons were out point costed by it but in the end killed it. Part of the problem was they didn't know about a rule that allows it to move and fire even when tied up in melee (I think it was 'Titanic' iirc). I'm wondering if there's something similar here with it able to be tar-pitted. Either way, it really should have Towering.
What is your formula for calculating the damage? I arrive at some quite different numbers.
I was so disappointed when I saw that Hazardous "only" does mortals to characters, monsters and vehicles. Tickled me that the most efficient way to kill this thing was to persuade the person piloting it to do something stupid and blow his own ass up.
The beautiful thing about 3D printing isn't just that I can print a 28mm scale forgeworld warlord titan for a tiny fraction of the cost.
No, the beautiful thing about 3D printing is that I can skip the warlord and print a 28mm scale Warmaster titan.
An average 3d resin printer costs 300$, wash and cure that isn't necessary costs 100$ together, few litres of resin cost 100$ at max, an stl of every single part of the Warlord titan I found on cults was for free. A complete set for 3d printing costs four times less than the actual product.
the Obscuring rule you,d think the TITANS sensors alone would over write that ...I can see it been a issue in a city Urban fight (Think Titans at Hellsreach etc)
Now that's a painting project
They used to have so many more weapons like 2 vortex missile bank. Which is basically act like hunter killer missiles that are the proper size for a titan and basically shoots a black hole lol. Also what about the Volkite Destructor it was a serious contender for hordes of infantry with the Gatling Blaster? Btw this info is from when I started playing at the tail end of 7th edition.
"Yawns in shadowsword" lol
I honestly would love to try to go against this with my full beast snagga army X)
Either I get shot to bits or I get to krump some damn fine trophy :D
I want to find a cardboard box around the right size, call it a warlord, and challenge my friends to take it down by any means necessary. Perhaps the assault team get 1pt per wound, and the titan gets either xpts per round, or xpts per kill.
Alternatively, have two friends fight each other and just have the Kelloggs Titan go to town on both sides as an impartial, pissed off, battlefield hazard.
I just bought one! Can't wait for it to get here so I can start my multi month long building project. I'm just hoping I don't mess it up somehow in the process. Making something so big and expensive is a bit intimidating.
Update, I did indeed mess it up in the building process. Still working on it
Ive got a Tau spiderbot Titan equivalent, they sell em for like 300 online but fortunately theyre printable and ive got a resin printed. Wanna get ahold of the datasheet for it, even though its unofficial or so i hear, cuz ive printed 2 giant resin models of them and just need to paint em... Theyre gorgeous. One of these days ill get ahold of STL files for a warlord and make a Big army. Who knows, maybe we can find enough people to go against one dude with a 40,000 point army .. :D
Imagine that... So nutty
It's ridiculous... I love it! I think I might have to get the Epic version though, as I'm saving up for a full size Thunderhawk at the moment (hobby goals)!
Oh sweet, new Walord rules! Please include a way to get ranged precision. Please include a way to get ranged precision. Please
Man when it comes to desdy demise I wish some would explode easier or have alot larger range
"Private Johnoson do you see that infantry unit over there?"
"Yes Sir!" *vaporizes unit several times over with all the guns*
"That's Primarch Guilliman and his honor guard. Protect them at all costs"
". . . . . . . . ."
*Me who has a Warlord titan stl*
Maybe a should order those 4 bottles of ressin....
I've had my Warlord since it was able to be pre-order, however I knew it would be more decorative display aside from use. However I do play apoc and it's rules used to be amazing now not so much
It just has tough and a lot of wounds and some pretty reasonable shooting that it can weather enough and shoot enough back to kill some stuff and then not die basically it’s only real trait is it holds home field and that’s it
It doesnt matter what it does now, they will change the rules drastically once they sell enough of them.
I want to buy the Sunfury Plasma Annihilator just to have it, but I know that if I do, I’ll wind up getting the whole thing.
While this model may cost more than a mid range pc, a bambu lab A1 3d printer costs less than two combat patrols ;)
Patreoned. Keep up the good work
Is it acceptable to slitely shake the table when you move the Warlord Titan 🤣
I see that the other side of a table I’d pack up
I would love to get one of these build it and auction it off to support AtaxiaUK.
It shrunk in the wash or something. That made me giggle.
won a Warbringer Nemesis Titan or 24$ in a raffle. painted with a case to put it in as well
I think you could use this for fun co-op/versus battles where players team up versus one "game master" controlling just this thing.
wait a second ... weapons need to purchased extra?! given the price i assumed you get a full kit
If you're using this model, and not playing 8th edition Apocalypse, you're doing something very wrong.
Best rules set GW has ever made for 40k models.
I want one so badly. So badly.
Thats not a miniatures its a maxiature
Just put my hat into the drawing, through pateron! Hope I win!
Shrunk in the wash.... love it.
If games workshop would have any brain cells they should just call the company that makes gundams to make a kit for this.
Honestly I would get a big gundam to proxy for this 10 lbs of resin.
I will get every full size titan… one day!
I’ve always dreamed of getting a Titan but just can’t justify the cost. It would be a great cap to my knight household army to make it a true Titan maniple but just too expensive with a kiddo I gotta focus on raising.
I'm in the same boat, thinking maybe get the Warlord Titan instead of a Mazda Miata at age 50?
You can get a Chinese recast for about 650$ that is completely indistinguishable from the real thing
ah yes who doesnt want to own their very own 4year old child in resin with lasers
"realistically can kill only 5 infantry with powerclaw".. Pretty sure warlord titan is already in scale where just movement has wounding effect on any infantry near it, or roll agility each time titan moves to see if infantry gets pancaked, well as when it opens up with say plasma annihilator, any infantry on front of it gets damaged from the heat radiation alone. I mean its shooting a miniature star at the enemy.. and that is damage just for the friendly units. On the other end, ou boy...
thanks
I own one. So far in 10th against equivalent point marines and guard have killed it in one turn
Marines losing oath wound rolls will have an issue but yeah, it’s not intended to really play a standard game or take on a full army unsupported
What load out did you use? It seems like double Gatling cannons and apocalypse launchers might give it a better chance against regular armies
Does anyone know if you're able to use the vulcan mega bolters that's on the arioch power claw?
Yes it’s a S6 20 shot heavy bolter essentially. AP-1 D2 with sustained hits 1
Okay that's what I thought, kinda wish Auspex Tactics talked about that shooting option.
It's a lot of money for something you'll hardly ever get a chance to field in an actual game. Damned if it isn't a great center piece for a trophy case though.
I've got three off these, titanicus size though 😂
Statistically speaking it could still roll all 1's to hit
Stick volcano cannons everywhere! Why you ask? Well cause its called a fucking vilcano cannon that’s why….
iv said it before, and I'll say it again here. titanic feet need the anti infantry keyword on them.
Good call
Honestly at 3500 I'm a lot more keen on this utter monument to absurdity.
Here while the video has 40,000 views hehe
You expect it to be destroyed on turn one as it completely overcoated.
If I do win this I’ll challenge my entire playgroup to play against me at 6000 points 😂
Only takes 2 Orks, 1 grot, and a squig to fell one. Orks is best.
