Que linda voz, excelente canción,no puedo creer que en esa época le tomaban como una burlan y no como un cantante,si hubiera nacido en esta época HUBIERA SIDO UN GRAN FAMOSO
I had heard that the Beatles " blue meenie " lead character in Yellow Submarine " was loosely based on Tiny Tim.....I think Paul commented once, on his favoritism of " Tiny Tim " regarding the 1920s style music.....
I really don't know, fellas. Tiny Tim really just makes me smile. Nothing seems to fill me with joy anymore, at least not really, but just listening to Tim, no matter what I'm doing or how I'm feeling, I'm instantly filled with joy and love. He was wonderful, and so is his music.
Espero que se encuentre cantando en el cielo entre un campo de tulipanes, a dúo con su pequeño ukelele. Dios lo bendiga en dondequiera que esté. Grande Tiny Tim!
There is nothing better and nothing worse than being a novelty act. You will always have a crowd that absolutely loves what you do, and a crowd that hates you. The key is, you have to be in on the joke. Tim is in on the joke, zero fucks given; he knows his gig, and does it well. That's why he's one of my heroes. Put your art out there the way you want, regardless of the reaction.
He had a very encouraging song about this called Me and the Man on the Moon. He sang it in a normal voice with a very slight quaver like the singing style from the first three decades of the 20th Century.
CONTEXT ALERT. The person singing went by the stage name Tiny Tim, and was famous for this strange falsetto performance of Tiptoe Through The Tulips. The show he is on its called Rowan & Martin's Laugh In, the 2 people introducing him are the show's hosts, Dan Rowan and Dick Martin. It was a popular comedy show, and it was very common to have guest celebrities performing comedy skits. There was probably some comedic introduction to his act which we don't see, and Tiny Tim had to have known that they're doing it for the laughs and was okay with it. Just thought that would cleat up some of the comments from viewers who weren't around when this show was on air.
Funny, how early on so many thought Tim was gay. Well, he definitely played up a feminine side but he clearly was heterosexual. But he was also a genius as he brought music that was 40 to 70 years old to a generation obsessed with pop music and the Beatles, Stones, etc. He was your grandmother's Victrola come to life with in probably the most uniquely strange man ever. Once you see past Tim's weirdness, you see great talent and a very likeable human being, and a very knowledgeable connoisseur of great American popular music that he brought to a very different generation.
I saw this when it originally aired. He's doing an act. He's really quite good on the uke and is an encyclopedia of knowledge on old time songs. This song was originally made popular by Nick Lucas.
I really like the way he says "thank you" while singing, and how he thanks everyone at the end. GOD, I JUST LOVE HIM! Rest in peace, the best of the best❤❤❤
@@cookiechan3728 that song wasn't cursed. He sang it millions of times over the years. What it really was is that he had diabetes and heart disease. His doctors advised him to retire from performing but he wouldn't listen. That was why he died from a heart attack after singing Tiptoe Through The Tulips.
This generation is so messed up, they are laughing with him, his act was supposed to be funny, he was weird on purpose and yet all of you are too thick to notice.
He's clearly in on the joke. He may be strange but he's not an idiot.
He may be strange, not he maybe strange. May be and maybe have two different meanings.

I actually find his unique voice very calming.

@@dianekim1644 how dare you!!!
Georgia and tucker oof sorry
Georgia and tucker. But tye lyrics are beautiful.
@@dianekim1644 its OK I was joking😂
This is crazy because people are using this song in horror movies. 👀
Weird Al - "I'm unique"
Tiny Tim - "Hold my beer".
He kinda sounds like micky mouse lol but he’s actually a really good singer
Yes, he had a great vocal range including an astounding baritone. Listen to "This is All I Ask".
LMAO!!!!
That's because Mickey mouse's voice is also a falsetto
I had heard that the Beatles " blue meenie " lead character in Yellow Submarine " was loosely based on Tiny Tim.....I think Paul commented once, on his favoritism of " Tiny Tim " regarding the 1920s style music.....
lol yeah i was thinking of that HAHAH-
I really don't know, fellas. Tiny Tim really just makes me smile. Nothing seems to fill me with joy anymore, at least not really, but just listening to Tim, no matter what I'm doing or how I'm feeling, I'm instantly filled with joy and love. He was wonderful, and so is his music.
I can completely relate theres just something about him that makes me smile....this is coming from an utterly cynical metal head
He was a genius
That's the spirit of him you are feeling. He was loved by many around the world for this. It's not the songs, they were a mere medium.
Same
I feel the same way. I don't smile so much, but when I'm listening to him, I can't stop smiling. He reminds me of happiness.
And thus, a gorilla tag ghost was born...
Espero que se encuentre cantando en el cielo entre un campo de tulipanes, a dúo con su pequeño ukelele. Dios lo bendiga en dondequiera que esté. Grande Tiny Tim!
I actually really like this song
Me too
Me too!!!
Same
so does dc and james wan apparently
Me too
he died way to early :(
Sold his soul for a little fame..
He was 64 years old, it happened on November 30, 1996 when he was performing at a Gala benefit for the Minneapolis League of Catholic Women.
@@marvinthemaniac7698 really?
@@RadonehereGamer yessir! It said so on Wikipedia.
@@marvinthemaniac7698thats creepy
Tiny had a very high IQ. Around 155.
The world is never prepared for a genius. They only get recognition after death.
Insidious playing in the back of my head:

Hahahahahaha
YESS
The scariest movie I ever seen
Me:* looks out window and sees person and shakes*
The walking dead when a little boy named Sam was alive played that on a record player but I also know it from insidious
Can we appreciate how much control he had over his voice?? Omg it's really impressive
*Edit omg fine I will fix it lol, I know he is dead
had😢
He died while singing this
He was a nice guy, ❤️love from India 🇮🇳. He is not creepy, he is a good entertaier. Respect to you brother in heaven.. RIP Tiny Tim❤️
I always liked him! I was very sad when I heard he passed away.
He's got a great voice and I'd of loved to see him live
Tiny Tim music is really a work of art, I don't understand how they couldn't appreciate it
He reminds me of Edward Sissorhand
Tip toe thru the tulips was from a 1929 movie. The guy who sang it sounded quite similar to Tiny Tim.
Put your art out there the way you want, regardless of the reaction.
ncinnkeep you know he's dead right?
ncinnkeep yep
Amen!!!!!
He had a very encouraging song about this called Me and the Man on the Moon. He sang it in a normal voice with a very slight quaver like the singing style from the first three decades of the 20th Century.
That voice control tho that was BEAUTIFUL
It's hilarious and beautiful at the same time. ❤
set this as my ringtone then "accidently" forget to put my phone on silent at school.. perfect
LOL!!!
+spaceorbison I feel sorry for you...
lol right
I hate when that happens
La gente se burlaba de él y el aún les agradecía un ejemplo a seguir
The best of feel good songs. His voice, swing, expression, and talent to play. ❤😊
Tiny tim es un grande.....se merece aplausos no carcajadas de gente que no sabe de música........Tiny tin un grande
Si la neta si pobresito :(
They was enjoying the music that's why they laughed and and was being funny
Que miedo la canción 😳💀👻
Al final le aplauden xd

Funny, how early on so many thought Tim was gay. Well, he definitely played up a feminine side but he clearly was heterosexual. But he was also a genius as he brought music that was 40 to 70 years old to a generation obsessed with pop music and the Beatles, Stones, etc. He was your grandmother's Victrola come to life with in probably the most uniquely strange man ever. Once you see past Tim's weirdness, you see great talent and a very likeable human being, and a very knowledgeable connoisseur of great American popular music that he brought to a very different generation.
philipatoz He was a paragon of heterosexuality, just like Elton John, Freddie Mercury, Morrissey and David Bowie!
+philipatoz lmfao shut the fuck up
Can't get a better memorial than that for Tim. *claps hands in respect*
+philipatoz I couldn't have said it better myself! He was such an amazing man!
+Fred Vanhees freddie was bisexual
Tim is the best at singing in this way. Hes one of a kind and is still remembered today. Thanks tim. Rip
like listening to old classic cartoon soundtrack, im instantly back to a younger me with happy & safe feeling. he is so talented, on of a kind
UNBOTHERED!! I love how Tim was Tim no matter how you felt about it. He was REAL
I saw this when it originally aired. He's doing an act. He's really quite good on the uke and is an encyclopedia of knowledge on old time songs. This song was originally made popular by Nick Lucas.
he also had a lot more to his voice than just this. but i'm sure you know that, you seem well informed
Lucky me! I remember watching this - IN HORROR! - live, when Ol' Timmy "tip toed through the tulips" on Laugh In! 🤣
He in the scenary make the laughs between the public with his strange mode of sing.
I really like the way he says "thank you" while singing, and how he thanks everyone at the end. GOD, I JUST LOVE HIM! Rest in peace, the best of the best❤❤❤
One of the most beautiful, talented, gentle, lovely and creepy person ever existed. R.i.p. 💜
💫💕
He died by a heart attack because the song was cursed
@@cookiechan3728 that song wasn't cursed. He sang it millions of times over the years. What it really was is that he had diabetes and heart disease. His doctors advised him to retire from performing but he wouldn't listen. That was why he died from a heart attack after singing Tiptoe Through The Tulips.
@@cookiechan3728 cursed by what? curses don't exist
Is he dead
A gentle sould with unusual talent. Respect TT!
I don’t know why, but there is smth magical in this sound
This generation is so messed up, they are laughing with him, his act was supposed to be funny, he was weird on purpose and yet all of you are too thick to notice.
@@ghsty-5825 You should check the comments, you are so ordinary that can't even insult properly.

No, bullying back then was not frowned upon as much as it is today. They were undoubtedly mocking and laughing at it.
