Tiny Tim's musical career began in the smoky Greenwich Village clubs of the early 1960s, where he showcased his remarkable voice, characterized by a high falsetto that left audiences both bewildered and mesmerized. His fashion sense was equally eccentric, often featuring Victorian-era clothing, complete with ruffled shirts and top hats. His performances were a mesmerizing mix of music and comedy, with quirky dance moves and his trusty ukulele adding to the spectacle.
What truly set Tiny Tim apart were his bizarre personal quirks, notably his unconventional hygiene practices. He was known for rarely washing his long, curly hair and sometimes going years without a bath. This peculiar approach to personal hygiene became a subject of fascination and speculation, further contributing to his mystique.
Religiously devout, Tiny Tim openly expressed his Christian faith and often sang gospel songs, intertwining his spirituality with his music. His political leanings were just as unconventional, with a blend of conservative and liberal views that defied easy categorization. He used his fame to advocate for various causes, making appearances at political rallies and events. Tiny Tim's romantic life was a whirlwind of high-profile marriages and relationships, including his famous televised wedding to Miss Vicki on "The Tonight Show." These unions, along with his eccentric persona, were subjects of media scrutiny and fascination.
Throughout his career, Tiny Tim experienced both remarkable peaks of success, notably with his debut album "God Bless Tiny Tim," and periods of decline as musical tastes evolved. His bizarre stage presence, idiosyncrasies, and unique voice remained constant, continuing to captivate audiences until his tragic death on stage in 1996.
Tiny Tim's legacy endures as a testament to the enduring power of individuality in the world of entertainment. His life, career, and eccentric personality are a vivid reminder that sometimes, the most unconventional talents leave the most indelible marks on the cultural landscape. I would like to point out some corrections about Tiny Tim's death. The ukulele festival was on September 28th, 1996. He did suffer a heart attack there, but he didn't die that day. His doctors had advised him to retire from performing because of his health issues. He didn't listen to his doctors and went on to perform at a gala ladies club in Minneapolis on November 30th, 1996. That was when he had his fatal heart attack. RIP Tiny Tim! 😢

I knew Ti ny Tim. The wife of his Manager worked with my mom Naomi at the office of a construction company called Daurio and Russo on Glenwood Road in Brooklyn, NY. The son of his manager went to the same Elementary school as me at PS 276 in Canarsie Brooklyn, NY. Tiny Tim played my school Assembly. The students didn't know how to respond to Tiny's performance. Years later, I was a Manager at New York's famous Colony Records on Broadway. Tiny was my customer. He would always buy sheet music of old songs. That's my history with Tiny Tim.

I really don't mean to sound rude, I truly truly don't want to or insult you or your channel in any way but I have a few constructive criticisms that I like to throw your way and you may want to hear these to help with future videos. One being, how are these "tragic details" about his life "after he died"? All I'm seeing are facts about his life and nothing that was tragic or not known at the time he lived. Also, perhaps input audio recording examples in your video.. it may help the viewer or subscriber by actually hearing his voice and performances if they have never heard of him or heard him sing or perform before. I personally have never even heard of him or what his voice sounds like so I have to go to another video to see what you're talking about. It can be frustrating to say the least. All in all, great material though. I enjoy a lot of your work and appreciate the topics and videos you put out for us 😊

he was famous nationally. he was on many tv shows. his tip toe thru the tulips got to 17 on the billboard charts. he was nominated for a grammy. when he married miss vicki on the tonight show, it was the most watched television event ever (at the time). i don't know how old you are, but if you were alive in the 1960s you would/should have heard of him if you watched tv or listened to the radio. after the 60s - not so much!

I'm not trying to be mean but I have to say that a very large chunk of this information is incorrect. Please do not rely on the information in this video to be factual if you are serious about learning about Tiny Tim's life and career!! for one he was definitely a devout Christian... with all I have watched on him I've never heard him speak of being pro LGBTQ... like I literally don't even know where that came from but I'm not sure of anything...normally devout Christians are not supportive of LGBTQ. He did NOT have poor hygiene and was a clean freak from what he said on his first interview with Johnny Carson and he made that very clear. He did NOT pass away from the heart attack he suffered at the Ukulele festival though he did suffer a heart attack there... He was taken to the hospital and told to basically stop performing and take care of himself but he loved his fans to much and refused to stop performing because of his love for both performing and his fans... he died I think 1 or 2 months later (in the state of MN where he lived with his wife Miss Sue) when he collapsed onstage at a Women's club benefit (and from what I hear, in his final moments he was treated awful by a guy who was suppose to bring him onstage but because this guy didn't know and or apparently like Tiny Tim for whatever reason (how do you NOT like Tiny Tim?!?) That he didn't even bring him on when he was suppose to and just walked off without introducing Tiny... Tiny I guess had to introduce himself. Anyways... Tiny Tim had told his wife he didn't feel well before taking the stage and she was going to take him home because she was worried about him but he refused because he didn't want to disappoint his fans and he took the stage anyways. When he took the stage he ended up collapsing and was taken to a near by hospital and pronounced dead not to long after... I got the pleasure this past December (2023) to be able to visit the Mausoleum at Lakewood Cemetery that Tiny Tim was interred in back in December of 1996 and visit his final resting place. He is actually in the same Mausoleum as one of my Father-in-Laws (Unfortunately never got to meet my first Father-in-Law as he passed far to soon in life) but my second Father-in-Law rests as well in the same Mausoleum as Mr. Tiny Tim, who was a big part of my childhood. This man deserves I personally believe the largest amount of respect as not only an entertainer but as a person as well. He worked so hard to keep the great music and entertainers of the past alive and I will forever do the same for him as he is now one of them. RIP Tiny! May you be forever remembered!! And as Tiny Tim would say... GOD Bless you all!!

So-Called "Tony Tim" wasn't even his real name. He was born. Herbert Butros Khaury. He obviously sold-out his birth name to the greedy & deceitful music business and anticipation of greater recognition & money. It also implies parental & heritage disrespect.
