In this video, Kelsey and I discuss the importance of autism toys and how to organize them effectively. I provide insights into selecting toys that can support children with autism or toddlers showing signs of autism. Additionally, I highlight the significance of conducting assessments to understand a child's self-care, language and learning skills, and problem behaviors.
We also emphasize the value of cause and effect toys as a starting point for children with limited language skills. I showcase examples such as the hammer and ball toy, demonstrating how repetitive motions and purposeful actions can engage and teach children. I also touch upon the significance of preference assessments and observing a child's natural play choices. Whether you're a parent, professional, or caregiver, join me in exploring the world of autism toys and learn how they can positively impact a child's development.

Hi Mary, how many years do you keep words basic? E.g mine would say the word ball or kick when he feels like. I just wonder does the child have to frequently speak the basic words until you can teach a sentence
Would love an answer from Mary
