I love Oziris. The first drop is so good, and the layout is super creative. I love the presentation too, the theming and setting is fantastic. Honestly, I've ridden Montu, Nemesis etc, and this is probably my favourite too.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves this coaster.

I love the european B&M inverts.
I like all of them.
I've only ridden one ride with an Immelman (Talon), but I don't get why people dislike them so often. The one on Talon is so great! Twisty, floaty, disorienting -- one of my favorite inversions on any ride anywhere.
I find they tend to lack the power of the other invert inversions.
I agree with literally EVERYTHING you said about this ride. I've experienced Black Mamba, Montu and Nemesis but this has got to be my favourite.
All those are great, but this one is my favorite.

OzIris is definitely the invert to inspire Banshee at Kings Island: no pre drop, the dive loop as the first inversion, and just the very very drawn out elements that Banshee also has, however, the theming on this ride is just so much better in terms of presentation~ The inverted coasters in the US are still amazing, but the European B&M inverted coasters are just something else~ I've ridden Behemoth and Leviathan with nylon wheels during the colder fall seasons, and the coasters are not just noticeably louder, but definitely faster in the cold. I know that since the nylon wheels are harder, the train does vibrate against the track more than if it had the softer polyurethane wheels in the hotter weather. But regardless, OzIris looks hugely underrated as a B&M coaster. I don't hear a lot of people talk about it, unless few coaster enthusiasts that are near France ride it. I don't think that there is a bad B&M (maybe if you're counting Firebird) out there, and this looks to be just as good as any inverted coaster B&M has built. I think OzIris does look better than Banshee in my opinion, because it definitely seems to be more compact that Banshee does, despite the ride only going 56 mph.
Outside of Montu, most of my favorite inverts are outside the country. The best is if you go to a park like Canada's Wonderland in the fall when they have the faster wheels and you get an abnormally warm day. I've had something similar happen with Nitro at Great Adventure and it was hauling.
OzIris looks fantastic! It's great how this invert can really stick out without having to resort to gimmicks or records.

Me too. I was trying to think who the most likely candidates to build one would be and my best guess would be SeaWorld San Diego or the Herschend parks because of their willingness to spend big on B&Ms and their current lack of inverts.

Also Oziris Is A Rare Credit Due To It Having No Pre-Drop. Inverted Coasters With No Pre-Drop Include Banshee At Kings Island And Monster At Gröna Lund
Banshee’s first drop is my favorite part of that ride. Much prefer its drop compared to any of the other US inverts I’ve been on
I think my favorite drop on the US inverts is still Alpengeist due to its size, but Banshee's drop is cool too. It just didn't have the airtime of OzIris.

I love that ride! And to give it some more praise, It has a long layout without a mid-break. And it still manages to run 3 trains!!
It only ran two the day I was there, but they never stacked. The operations at this park were great.

I expected this ride to be rough as hell, but I too was very pleasantly surprised with its smoothness. We rode front row the first ride. Our other rides were from the single rider queue, so you’ll never know what you’re going to get. We got the second to last row and I was preparing for some serious head banging and not being able to ride anything else the entire day, but boy was I wrong! It totally relit my spark for inverts!! Couldn’t wait to reride Black Mamba and totally loved it. So looking forward to riding Banshee and reriding Montu of which I totally forgot everything btw.
Just a warning on Banshee, some of the trains are quite shaky now.
OzIris really seems polarizing but after what you’ve said I’m sure I’ll love it and it looks very good
It seems to have gotten more favorable reviews as of late.
It looks awesome, and it doesn't get talked about enough. I am someone who appreciates variety in a coaster, so I could see this being my favorite invert if I ever get to ride it.
I think a lot more people will try to get here once that Intamin opens.

Agree to everything you said here. I rode Ozlris on both Aprils and summers. It's easily my number 1 invert! Sadly it is so underrated. I had high hopes for Banshee and it was a huge disappointment, it's just the same repetitive positive G's over and over again just no fun. Ozlris has much more variety for its size and length and yes! AIR TIME!
So is OzIris better in cooler weather or was it the same in summer?
@@CanobieCoaster To be honest, I don't feel any big differences. My first ride was in the opening year towards the end of July. It was a pretty hot day and the park was packed. The trains run full load each time and I felt that it was fast! (contrary to the reviews then, maybe from the heat?) and it was glass smooth! April ride was just as amazing regardless. I preferred back roll.

Rode Oziris on 30th April and then again on 1st June. Two totally different rides so don't know if they changed the wheels. The April ride was more intense but there was quite a bit of rattle on the back row. The next day it was running so much smoother, still intense but not as intense as the previous day. We preferred the smoother ride which was nxt to back row, I think. Have ridden it about six times in total, all on hot days and it is definitely our favourite invert.
I rode it in the spring, so I got the faster wheels.

probably wouldnt be my favorite invert personally but i can definitly see how it could be someone elses favorite invert, but i rly appraciate how unique the layout is, it was something that made me love great bear a lot so i think for oziris it would do the same

ive been on this in the front and back and oh my goodness its god tier its a full package i had fast track too but also waited in the main queue (which moves INSANELY quick) for the front row and yes the main queue is so beautifully themed

I honestly love this as well, but I found it completely forceless. I enjoyed it because when I rode it it was glass smooth and I loved the theming, but it was nothing like older B&M's. Just imo. But yes there is airtime. Heck I even got airtime on Talon at Dorney Park, but Oziris has more for sure, we rode it when it was a few days old. I don't know how it runs now. Some inverts have some decent airtime. Just mentioned Talon as it was the first time I got airtime on an invert :)
I know some people have had worse experiences on OzIris, but I found it plenty forceful in between those airtime moments.
I did ride Oziris in April this year and it surprised me - but still place Nemesis and even Afterburn above it (I don't get leg numbing intensity on Oziris!). Though, I was alone, and usually my true rankings are on my second visit to parks. I'll go back with a friend in the next few years and I'm sure it will shoot up my rankings! It did also have a noticeable rattle on some rows - is that something new? I must say that zero G roll was indeed the best I've ever done - perfect profiling, taken at the perfect speed. Magic.
I didn't find it to have a rattle in August.
I think it was on the drop? I preferred it to Banshee due to the restraints, but Banshee was glossy smooth and I didn't think quite the same of Oziris... re-rides needed!@@CanobieCoaster
Of the 1st four you mentioned at the beginning I'd eliminate Nemesis. It's got great theming and it's a unique layout, especially for a B&M invert, but I can't see how it could top Montu, Katun or Pyranees, and of those four you mentioned I've only ridden Nemesis. Then I watched this video, and I can tell you that I have a new bucket list B&M invert. France seems to be lucky with B&M inverts; they have "Le Monster"; a Raptor imported from Japan clone that never trims the trains's speed on the MCBR.
I place a big emphasis on theming, setting, and uniqueness which is why I rank Nemesis so highly. It also helps that ride is forceful. But if Nemesis were just on a flat plot of land, it would be behind those 3 you mentioned.
@@CanobieCoaster That's completely reasonable. I also had a painful pustular node on the inside of my ear riding Nemesis 14 month ago when I rode it and it's a short ride. But neither of those problems stoped me from marathoning it. ;)

Im shure you would like "Hals über Kopf" at Trippsdrill in germany. its the new Vekoma STC, and it hats Airtime on an Invert aswell. Furthermore it will shur get some nice theming for 2021, is very smoth and overall extreamly good.
Until covid hit, I was supposed to go to Tripsdrill in 2020. That ride looks great and I hope to ride it soon.
Great video, no comments on it’s beautiful Speed the Ride like color scheme? The blue track is so beautiful. You know those are not helixes, right? Also, on a B&M invert and flyer the “zero g roll” is called a Heartline Spin.
Thanks! I love the overall appearance of the ride. I always get mixed up between zero-G rolls, heartline rolls, barrel rolls, etc. Most ride similarly to me.

Ok thanks! I'll try to remember that for future videos. This is a park I have no qualms going to multiple times since it was my perfect blend of thrill rides and theming.
@@CanobieCoaster don't know if I got a bad ride (with the slow wheels) but Oziris didn't live up to the lofty expectations. I have it in #7 on my rankings, only marginally better than Nemesis Inferno and far below Nemesis. Toutatis was fantastic though, solid #3 in France/UK combined ranking.
I've ridden nemesis (normal and inferno) and have also ridden Oziris and I can say form experience, this is better than both of them. It is even better than smiler in my opinion...
Also as a French native the ride is pronounced like Oz e Reez

I used to think this was a coaster with like a 7/10 ranking, but this actually gets me really excited for it, and I even live 1 hour from it, can’t wait to literally lap this a billion times. Also if you’re planning to go here DO NOT GO FRIDAYS 13, in france it’s actually for good luck, so most people would go there at that time.

I have not been on Toutatis yet. I liked Goudurix in 2019, but I've heard the ride ran better that year than usual.

I have not. Walygator isn't a priority for me since their star ride is a clone of Raptor and I've heard horrific things about Anaconda.

Great video 😉 I'n France we have to to B&M coaster, Oziris and the Monster , My favorite is Oziris because he have a wonderful landscape but the Monster it's fantastic machine.... but white placed in a garden 😅😭🤣. I live in the middle of Park Asterix ans Disneyland Paris. It's vers cool 😁. The mother of my girl friends worked in Disneyland, but i prefer Asterix, because he have Oziris and Tonnerres de Zeus and because Disney it's ... realy EXPANSIVE 😅😭😭🤣. It's the prince for the magic 😁🤣
I haven't been on Monster, but I have ridden the near clone at Cedar Point in Raptor. I like OzIris far more. Having both Parc Asterix and Disneyland nearby must be great!
How intense is this compared to Afterburn?
I think the strongest positive G parts of OzIris are on par with Afterburn's inversions (minus the batwing).

I'll talk about that ride in an upcoming countdown video, but I know the ride wasn't running to its fullest potential the day I visited. It was running super slow. Maintenance actually had to grease the tracks the last hour of the day, but it was too little too late. I think they were banking on a rain storm lubricating the tracks that never materialized.
At the park, both OzIris and Goudurix were in your video of most surprising roller coasters in the world, why?
OzIris had more force and airtime than expected. Goudurix was tolerable contrary to my expectations.

Made in 2020, I saw a video from Canobie Coaster that says: Most surprising roller coasters in the world. OzIris at Parc Asterix was placed there. Why?
It was more forceful than anticipated with several airtime moments too.
I always thought this coaster is not talked about enough.
That's why I went it with such low expectations.
I don’t understand how a B&M inverts, specially newer ones like this gives so much airtime, because as far as off-ride footage and POV’s goes, only the drop looks like it has airtime, you’d think it’s an inverted B&M mini Hyper with inversions. On the subject of invert coasters, it looks like when Kings Island were designing Banshee, B&M took inspiration from Oziris, minus the Montu theming.
I was surprised it had airtime as well. The drop was easily the strongest airtime, but the other ones were more of the floater variety. However, it was so odd getting airtime on an invert and it juxtaposed the inversions really well.

The positive Gs aren't as strong as Montu, but the ride flows better and the airtime moments are why I love it so much.

OzIris it's very good but it's small compared Katun and black mamba in phantasialand it's very really above. I From a french next to Paris 😉
