Hi James, another fantastic video. It brought back wonderful memories of when my wife and I climbed Ben Cruachan earlier this year. Shame about the weather because the views are amazing. You made it look easy; we found it tough especially the start through the steep wooded area and even harder on the knees coming down. Looking forward to your final video, I absolutely love the photography, you put so much effort into it.
well done there. its a grand munro that one and the journey is nearly over. the series has been so enjoyable to watch over the years and its crowbarred me off the couch to bag a 100 or so of them in the past 2 to 3 years. along with charlie and hike scotland - these are the best of the munro bagging series by far. wish you well and i hope the call of the hills never ebbs over the years. best of luck with the last munro and all the best. hope for fine views.
Great video again James. It has given me fond memories of doing the Cruachan Horseshoe in the reverse direction to you about 20 years ago. Whilst I walked the ridge, my pal Martin and his 70-year-old dad Richard took the direct route to the summit of Cruachan where I met them. Richard's effort gives me hope that I may still have a few more years left in which I will still be able to get up Munros! Looking forward to your compleation and what you will do next. Congratulations on an outstanding video record of your journey - one that has become my 'go to' when planning new trips. Even my occasional Munroing buddies from down under are hooked!
The horseshoe is one of my favourite walks - hopefully you'll manage back and get the weather, a cracking day out in the hills! Best of luck finishing your round, congratulations when you bag it James.
I can't imagine how you'e feeling right now, James, but do make sure you enjoy it! Shame about the mixed bag of weather, there, but great photography, as ever.
Thank you ever so much, James! Excuse me please, but I‘m kinda sad, that your journey will soon come to an end 😉. I‘m already curious us what you are going to do next. Cheers and good luck, Martin
That’s an awesome achievement mate,You’re videos have been brilliant watching,,,,Final Munro will be something else,,hope you’re celebrating with some beverages!!!
Yasss. One more to go.. Looking forward to seeing that one James (purely cos I'm hoping to see myself of course😂😂) -- Cannae believe you didn't tag the Corbett on at the end of the ridge.. You'll regret it if you do decide to do the corbetts. 😮😂
Thanks James good to follow you round, I think we had a temperature inversion, super day out. I hope we will still see you after your last munro. Corbetts aren't second best.
Well done James, and thanks for the whole series. You have produced excellent footage and have usually left me wanting just a bit more, much better than wanting to jump over sections - great balance.
I've really enjoyed delving into your videos over the past few months. This one meant a lot as it was one of the last ones I've been up. At least, I assume it was that round, didn't see a damn thing all day after leaving the resevoir until comng back down the other end!
Excellent James a great feeling that all your journeys and effort are bringing you close to your goal. Great mountain Cruachan. Climbed it twice once in the mist total navigation and the second in total sun. A hard day out particularly doing Ladhar Beinn the day before. Look forward to your celebration when you post the video. Very well done.
Well done james, watched you from the beginning of your munro journey, amazing to hav got thru them so quickly. I loved the Cruachan Ridge, one of my faves,as you said a tough day out however !!
Myself, my partner and our scruffy rescue dog climbed the Cruachan during a visit to Scotland. That start is a beast isn’t it! We were totally clouded in at the top. Took a slightly wrong direction upon leaving the summit and had a mildly nervous traverse around to find the right path. We drove back to the car park at Ganavan sands and sat with our legs recovering in the icy sea. It was a fabulous day. Well worth the effort. A very good fish supper in Oban that night felt richly deserved.
During lockdown you couldn't travel! Well, for those that had so much work to do and were kept tied to our responses for months on end. Clearly, it was ok for some to travelled across countries. So, something ain't right with your story.
Fabulous hills and ridge. You are not wrong about the pull up from the public road.....it got me puffing. The Dam is a brilliant bit of technology (built late 1950s early 60s if I remember rightly) and a visit to the actual Hydro power station is worth the time, if you have it. Very well done on your achievement great effort and been a joy to watch. Catch you for your last one....
This was an excellent experience. I done it just a short while before yourself James and took a couple of wee diversions along the ridge. I also had a mixed bag of views too.👏
Next time take a left at the bealach and head up Meall Cunaill before ascending Ben Cruachan and when you reach Drochaid Ghlas head out along spur that leads roughly to the north.
This was one of my earliest hillwalks when I was pretty unfit! It was a lovely day but I struggled to keep up so it all seemed to go by in a flash. I've always intended to return and really enjoy that ridge, especially now that I've climbed many of the surrounding hills. Looking forward to seeing the final celebration!
Amazing video, james! Me and dad loved these 2, although we hated the bit through the forest! Thanks so much for subscribing to me!! Can't wait for the cmd video!
I did these in a fog so i didnt get the views that you got , the dam coming out of the mist was spectacular also the broken trig point had a medal with ribbon still attached but that would be long gone by now , well done you on your journey and i look forward to your last one , cheers from Brechin
I’m so happy for you mate, one to go. I’ve watched since near the start, it’s been an incredible journey and I feel honoured and privileged you brought us all along with you!! Hats off Video request for when you’re finished: would you please do something like a cost breakdown, so how much in fuel/travel it took to get there, kit, clothing, supplies etc. if it’s not too disrespectful to ask. Huge thanks
Watched them all James. Quite emotional now you've nearly finished. Plz do the Corbetts! Jx Ps love Lexi (?) So like my beloved Spinner who hailed from Aberfeldy.
Well done, another great walk. You got a bit of a view. Now that you have (nearly) finished and you marked each of the hills, are you thinking of putting together a final review video with all your great days and fantastic photography? Thanks for the video.
Brilliant, well done nearly there. Just the final Munro with probably mixed feelings. The delight of a completion but a journey end. The drone footage and music make for a terrific watch. Can you tell me where you got the music.
Love your channel. From the USA. Can’t wait to hike in Glencoe next October for 10 days. Btw, what are you calling the saddle in the mountains there? Beloch???
Yes another incredible location , pity you didn't get the clearest of days ... next vid the last munro vid ? I hope not, love to see you doing all the Corbetts, they will take you to a whole new world of locations 👍
@ScottishMunroJourney some of those corbetts are better than some of those Munros ... they are in a lot of locations where no Munros are, a whole new Scotland 😅... I suppose you already know that 👍 My Corbett count is 38.. I think these will take way longer than my Munros , which I'm at 236
I’m not sure I am looking forward to the final Munro. I’ve enjoyed the journey so much, I’m really going to miss these films. It’s been fantastic to share the round!
Well done - looks beautiful! When did you film this? The Bracken looks very green for November 😅 If you're filming in advance for the TH-cam algorithm, does that mean you've already done your final one?
Well spotted, this was September 😁 I had completed the last 5-10 routes within a month or so, it has taken me months to get it all edited 😂 Cheers, James
Evening James, absolutely brilliant mate, nearly there. It’s been wonderful watching your journey over the last couple of 18 months or so, been some epic adventures and even more epic views….and now on to the last Munro, bring it on. 😀⛰🥾🏴
Well done James. At least you had some sort of a view on your penultimate munro. Eagerly awaiting the final munro. Cheers, Ozzy.
Wishing you all the best on your last Munro journey...I've enjoyed every one of them ...even if sometimes you haven't!! Fantastic achievement

So. The campsites weren’t letting you use the showers or the bogs. Maybe not quite the real lochdown. Thanks for your input.
So close James, I can't wait for the final instalment!
Looking forward for the final munro 💪
Bitter, sweet James? Well done bud, you've done really well and if compleated already, well done mate!!
Thank you 😁 yes definitely mixed emotions about it,

Great images. I usually do it the other way, but regardless it is a pretty long and arduous day.
Yes can imagine the pull up would be better that way 😁
@@ScottishMunroJourney Yes it is a bit better. I always used to go out to the Taynuilt peak too....until I got older!

Nice one James. I saw you have completed CMD. 282 in the bag. Corbett's next??? I am on that round, much tougher than the Munros.
Cheerd Andy, not 100% about the Corbetts but we will see 😂
☝️ video to go mate! Still feels like ur on ur journey! Can’t wait to see it! 🤩
I did those 2 hills in 26deg 🥵 it was test of stamina that day 😂
Not long now mate, should bring back some good memories anyway 😁 haha I bet! Tough old route that one!
Been following you for a good while as you know. Congratulations again on an epic mission. What's your next plans?
Thanks for following 😁 still not sure 😂

I pretty much did 😁 thank you!

Right James.Whats next big guy?
Where do you see the future of the channel? I’d love to see videos from Europe and maybe a bit further away.
I selfishly don't want it to be over! What's next!?
Did you see any TiE fighters?
Had to google that - no 😂
