- In this video, we take you deep into Pakistan’s Karakoram mountains on an unforgettable paragliding and camping (vol biv) adventure. We flew 320km over 3 days, soaring up to an altitude of 6,800m, and ended our day landing at the breathtaking Rush Lake (4,600m), one of the highest alpine lakes in the world.
The goal? To explore the Karakoram’s wild, remote beauty and push ourselves to the limits.
Our journey began with a stunning campsite in a flat alpine meadow, beside a flowing stream. By day two, we were camping at Rush Lake, overlooking the Hopper Glacier and the iconic Golden Pillars of Spantik. Flying wasn’t without challenges we faced strong thermals, katabatic winds blasting down the glaciers and the effects of high altitude.
Throughout the trip, we relied on a lightweight paragliding vol biv setup, packing everything needed to fly and camp in this remote terrain.
Join us for this epic adventure through Pakistan’s untouched Karakoram range. A true paradise for exploration, flying, and camping enthusiasts.

Ohhh guys, ohhh guys you absolutely blew my mind! What you achieved in Pakistan, the places I’ve been dreaming of visiting for years, is covered it all in just 3 days of paragliding! You’re the bravest paragliders I’ve ever seen. Keep it up, and thank you for showcasing the beauty of my country. ❤❤❤
This is Next Level.
@@TheMhamza4 cheers mate!
Wow you guys got to see undiscovered lakes from the air that no one else has ever seen, magical stay safe.
Beautiful place eh!!
When I saw a Facebook reel, I shared it with my friend, with whom I often go trekking in Pakistan. His response was, "These people truly enjoy; we do the hard work but can't enjoy like this."
Then I messaged you on Facebook, suggesting you make a full video. Today, you finally made the video, but while watching it, I was thinking, "If only this video were longer."
You have witnessed such breathtaking views that perhaps no one has experienced like this before. This uniqueness, in my opinion, makes it stand out. To date, I don't think there has ever been such philanthropic paragliding.
The places where you were flying are ones we have either explored through land routes or only seen on Google Earth. But you had the privilege of seeing them while soaring through the skies.
Thanks mate really awesome words! It’s such an incredible place and I’m super happy to be fortunate enough to have experienced what we did. I’m happy to be able to share this experience with everyone! Thank you for watching! I hope you continue to have amazing adventures in the hills!! ✌️

Gosh we waited so long😂
Good video Ben, love watching your crazy adventures.
Thanks mate! Yeah sorry the reality is I don’t make any money on the videos and they take me around 40 hours to make so it’s purely a passion project, I go though waves of motivation and sometimes I need a break! Thanks for watching I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely epic adventure! Thanks for your amazing channel, keep going!
@andnowsomethingcompletelydiffe thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Oh you made my mind to do this in near future

Cheers mate! Glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely amazed
Thank you very much! Do you fly as well?
@BenjaminKellett 😊... I do but in the airplane 😁... Paragliding is too scary😳 for me
That shot at rush lake looking over the rim at those jagged peaks was so sick
Thanks mate!! Yeah it’s such an amazing place!!
Amazing
Thank you!!
finally, a video, been asking after seeing bir billing
Absolutely amazing. I was scarred just imagining being there!
Thank you!! It is a bit of an intimidating place to fly! Stunning though, do you fly as well?
@BenjaminKellett Yes I have been paragliding for 3 years. Extensively in the UK, managed first 100km followed quite quicly with a 150km declared. I'm getting on a bit now (67) so don't expect to be so adventurous. I Hang glided when younger which has helped. I've watched all your videos. Absolutely wonderful I appreciatec your effort to share.
I wish you many more epic flights and wait eagerly to watch. Kind regards Ian
Such an epic adventure....this video is for multiple viewing, for sure.
Thanks a lot for sharing this epic adventure,Ben....fantastic flying by you both.
Salute !
Thanks!! I really appreciate it! 🙏
Thanks for sharing this video ❤
My pleasure! Thanks for leaving a comment!
Incredible. Welcome again again and again 🇵🇰
Thank you! Do you live near by?
Amazing 🤩
Thanks mate!!
Well done .... It takes quite a lot of balls to fly that terrain !!!
Thank you!! 🙏
I've only had time to watch the first 2 minutes, but wow... Nice work Ben. If I ever manage a tenth of the flights you have I'll still be happy. EPIC.
Thanks Mike I appreciate it!! This was a trip to remember that’s for sure
Thanks so much for posting this. John Sylvester said great pilots will do amazing things in this place one day. I think your doing it. Mark🎉
Thanks Mark! He was a bit of a legend eh, I met quite a few locals in Hunza who talked very fondly of him, shame I never got the chance to meet.
@@BenjaminKellett yes he was the pioneer out there and nice fella. I'm enjoying your videos lately, especially in this shitty English winter. Cheers Mark
That is the Dream..
Thanks mate!
That was Classic ,Very excited to see your flight towards K2 and it,s surrounding 8000m giants 😍😍❣️
Thanks mate!! 🙏
Awesome! Amazing footage, looks good in 4k on the projector😮
@@ThomasRold legend thanks mate! I’ll have to drag you with next time 😎
How are you watching it in 4k? Looks like it was only uploaded in 1080 unless I'm missing something?
Thank you Ben for putting this together and in such high quality. The memories of flying there and engraved in my head, but it is still incredible to see the mountains again in such high quality.
Cheers mate! No worries glad you liked it!!
Spectacular Ben.
Thank you for doing a video.... And I'm hoping you came back on one piece ....
Now is the time in your life to do that stuff....
Thanks mate! Sorry it's been so long, I've been leaving the PC at home during travels so had to stick with the short stuff I could make on my phone for a while! Should get a few more out over the summer!
Exact what i needet now. Thanks ❤
Thanks mate!
Super inspiring. I know the long-form videos are a hassle to edit, but they're soooo good! This is one of your best. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks mate! Yeah you’re not wrong but sometimes I find motivation to share when the footage is really good
wow man, that is unbelievable, flying at such altitude is extremely difficult, even Helicopters face problems. Beautiful mountains, just wow for your flying experience, the way you guys landed, camp, that's really an extreme adventure. Lots of love from Pakistan.
Thank you very much! You have a truely beautiful country
Epic
Thanks mate!
Really good! As an experienced HG and PG pilot this looks really full on, but at an age of 71 with a 30+ year flying career, I am happy to do comps and take fewer risks! Excellent... Better than the Gumball Rally videos
Thanks mate I appreciate it!
love it
@@GiovanniPavone3 thanks mate!!
epic

It was well worth the wait. Thanks.
Thanks mate! I appreciate it!
You sir got earned me as a subscriber for lifetime
Love your 200 km video tooooooo
😎😏😏
Thanks mate I really appreciate it! 🙏
Can anyone explain how they are flying
Sun heats the surface, surface heats the air, warm air rises and when we find these bubbles of warm rising air called “thermals” we can use them to gain altitude. As the air rises it expands, cools and the water vapour condenses to form a cumulus cloud which mark the tops of the thermals.
Waooooo dammm soooo gooood Ben
Hoping to see you again in ❤ Himalaya 🙌 stay blessed man
@@rakaHP08 thanks mate!! I’m hoping to come back!!
Epic! :)
Cheers bro!
와! 대단합니다. 언젠가 당신과 함께 비행 하고 싶네요. 잘봤습니다.
Thank you!!
epic
Waited for a new video for a long time! Too long :)
Thank you! Yeah sorry it’s a tough one because they just take so long to make and I don’t really make any money from it so it really just relys on my passion which has varying levels of motivation sometimes 🤣
Awesome video dude! Spectacular!
Cheers mate!! 🙏
hey brother waiting eagerly waiting of your bir billing series please upload
Thank you!! Next will be another one from Pakistan then after that will be from Bir Billing
Давай дружище!

Thanks mate! Hopefully see you there for the premier viewing in 8 hours! Will be on the live chat 😎
@@BenjaminKellett Of course, see you buddy! You make great videos! We're always waiting! Don't give up, this is a noble cause, we need you! 😊 And if you have the desire and opportunity, come to us in the Caucasus, then we will fly together! 😉
Awesome, this is what I'm subbed for
Amazing!! Thanks mate! Let me know what you think when you've seen it!
WOW Ben! Totally insane! You outdid yourself on this one. I was wondering what you've been up to, now I know: 7k meters! So cool. Keep the adventures coming.
Ah thanks mate!! It was an incredible trip! Sorry it took me so long! 😅
❤🔥
🙏
Never knew this type of flight & travel was possible, utterly incredible to watch. I've cycled the wahkan valley/pamir highway and was astonished by its beauty, but from up there, wow. Stunning video congrats 👏
@@richardalvarez9004 thanks mate!! Yeah it’s a pretty incredible place to fly, not a bad way to get around! You think you’d want to learn to fly??
Wow , thanks Ben planning to do K2 Basecamp in 2025.
Epic! You're hiking in? How long is the trip and when are you going?
Mate, looking forward to this one. Thanks for doing the tedious editing mission. It drives me nuts doing it for my groups annual 2 week ride. Great having captured it as can look back. But the hours to put together the vid is a straight grind. So thanks from all.
Cheers mate, yeah I'm sure you appreciate these things take time, that's really why I haven't uploaded here in a while. I have been making lots of short form content which is a lot less work, in the end I realized its about balance. This trip was just too good to not make something though! It's slightly different style to what i normally make so i am excited to hear your feedback!
🤩🤩🤩
🙏🙏🙏
3:08 I was there behind the George miller
Awesome!
❤❤
Living the dream of every paragrapher. Amazing video, thank you so much. I’m sure you’ve told us somewhere, but what ozone wings were you using?
Thanks for taking the time to edit a full length video for youtube ! You must have mentioned it already somewhere but what model of mattress are you using ?
Thank you!! No problem glad you enjoyed it! I’m using a Nemo tensor at the moment
Finaly Ben comes out with a new adventure ... its been so long I started recording my own 🤣🤣
hahaha! Yeah sorry it's been so long, ya know how it goes, life. Cool man! are you enjoying making them? I'll check them out now
What was the name of glacier? At 1100
Not sure, it drains from the N face of the Diran
@BenjaminKellett could be Hinarchi glacier I presume on Bagrot valley side
hello c'est quoi le model de la voile rouge?
en tous cas belle images!!
Thank you! It’s a Zeolite GT from Ozone
Broooooo that is wayyyy toooooo gooooooooooooodddddddddddddddd❤❤❤
Soooo inspiring
Now i m thinking of getting into the course of paragliding and advance mountaineering course 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
So that i can also try this thing in Himachal Pradesh 😊
You can come and join me here in India.
You are most welcome
Drinks on me 😎😎
And permits also
Thanks mate!! That’s awesome! You should definitely learn to fly! You won’t regret it!! 😎
@BenjaminKellett for sure I will😎😏
Great adventure and vid! I plan on going in 2026. Did you use O2 at all? How long did it take for you to acclimatize?
Awesome! Yes we had oxygen but we didn’t use it much, mostly we just tried to acclimatise, took a few weeks
amazing trip but a great video too! I'm always stressed to keep recording with the stick when high up in the mountains, there it feels even crazier :P How hard was it to figure out the valley winds? You seem to be crossing the ridges quite comfortably
Thanks mate, yeah only really pull out the selfie stick when I’m on glide to be honest. Mostly I’m just trying to focus on flying the glider
Yeah there didn’t seem to be much valley wind, we just noticed that mostly it’s blow from the west in the afternoon in Hunza
@@BenjaminKellett I can imagine, well, I've lost like 2 flights getting too busy with he camera and not being able to put it back in place quickly :D But sometimes the footage is still worth it :) All good as long as it's safe.
12:30.....is that cattle?
Yeah it’s yaks!
THANKS FOR SHARING
My pleasure! I'll start working on the second part today!
@@BenjaminKellett what a awesome footage
DRUNK GUYS EVERYWHERE
Haha! In Pakistan the only drunk people are the pilots with hypoxia 🤣
5:58 ... What does he say?..
“Here is your Imodium, Ben” 🤣
I miss all the waiting for Brad. He didnt make the flight to Pakistan, rigth? 😁 Otherwise, its an epic unreal video as always. Thank you for that.
Hahah yeah Brad couldn’t make this one, I’d have happily waited for him though 🤣
RANT: Ditch the helmet mounted ego cam or expect one day to have a collapse with line entanglement and ground pound. Piloting for 32 years and that helmet mount is about the worst invention adopted by the mASSes
Hahaha thanks 🤣
That's the beauty of this sport. We all fly with the level of risk/reward that we are happy with. I'm sure Benjamin is well aware of the risks posed by a helmet cam. But accepts them for the reward of being able to record these epic adventures and posting them here for all of us to watch. I for one am grateful he takes that risk on our behalf.
Lastly bit crazy to call it an ego cam. He is literally pouring countless hours into filming and editing for all of us to enjoy. Seems pretty selfless to me.
Amazing
Thank you!!
