- A look at the Model Display presented by the 'Eagle 6' team at Sci-Fi Scarborough, March 2015.
The display showcased various models and props (both replica and originals) from Space:1999 and other Gerry/Sylvia Anderson shows
Brings back fond memories of time long past, of watching the telly with my siblings and friends at home and making a ruckus every time the heroes saved the day. Happy days. Thanks for uploading this. Oh don't mind those seven (7) dislikes, they are probably from some Mysteron supporters!
It gladdens my heart that these precious models are still in such good condition, almost half a century later.
It would be awesome to see a modern version of the show Space 1999.
ONLY if they kept the Eagle design as it. Best spaceship design ever imo.

The engineering of these sets and models are amazing. Even after 50 years you believe that they worked.

So far a head of its time only issue was the second series on space 1999 lost its way. However the rest of Gerry Anderson’s production will always remain timeless sci fi art .
What has happen to our sci-fi writers ,other than Dr Who that’s it ? Come on guys someone out there must have a vision for the next space 1999 or 2099 😂

When I see all these objects, it seems to me that I see all these episodes, the characters, their lines, the rare happy moments of my childhood lulled by their adventures, in the middle of abominable family disputes.
Gerry Anderson gave me a few moments of escape in the middle of all these turpitudes of life: family, studies, the situation, ..., escape that I no longer find with the series now ...
Believing to treat me, this video hurt me, as if I saw again the images of a loved one that I would have lost and who would have brought me so much joy ...
My life has been a failure in everything and everything, I have never been well anywhere, except in the company of Gerry Anderson's series: "Thunderdirds are go" and "Space 1999" season 1 only.
There are times when I really want to go and join in the afterlife the actors of "Cosmos 1999" who have already left us, even if it is a mortal sin ... They will continue to do me dream, and this intergalactic journey on the Alfa moon base will be endless!
"Remember us! Remember us!" shouts Sandra Benes at the end of the 49th episode shot in 1999. I will be with them, and in the company of the one I have always loved, Zienia Merton. It will have been a very long wait ...

A good show of space 1999 and captain scarlet thunderbirds is one of my favourite stingray was good as well
And Joe 90. This Anderson convention misses out on Terrahawks i do believe (not seen in this video?), i don't think even Gerry Anderson was too proud of it as a series. Might have been more of a Christopher Burr creation at its heart.

Nice, Even 'Captain Brown' was getting some representation in Captain Scarlet there too in that lineup! With only Lt Green, Captain Black (original and Mysteron agent), Captain Magenta and Colonel White and the Angels are missing. Brown was only seen in the pilot episode and was never replaced by another Captain in Spectrum!
P.S. wait..? (takes a second look again) at least 3 Angels are in there after all, lol o.k. then!

Just watched both seasons in the year 2024. Seeing the Hawks on the table, the moon base should have had a combination of Hawks and Eagles on the base. There were times when they needed something focused for space combat and the Eagle was not ideal.
That fighter jet model at 2:07. I believe it was for a series called Aquanoughts. But never picked up. I also hear it was designed by Mike Trim. Is that a custom scratch build or are they available like resin garage kits.
