You missed the one after his Matrix/school shooter get up, he went back to his classic look but didn't have his hair styled. You can see it if you google Carlos D pemberton 2008 (his final concert with these niggas)
I totally agree with you. I just came from watching an interview of him and paul, where carlos was being such a douchebag to the interviewer, but watching this one afterwards is so refreshing
@@Whiskey04 yeah, and honestly I'm a bit sad he left the band, but its was for the best he went on to pursue his acting career. From what I've seen he's doing so much better now and I'm very glad.
@@bearzdlc2172 i wanted to see his performance in "A 1984 Period Piece in Present Day" but sadly i cant find it to watch... it's on AFI fest website and it says its 18 minutes long but it says the video is expired i cant watch it
Oooooooh I can watch this interview over and over again! If I’m having a shitty day, all I have to do is watch this interview and I completely start laughing lol. The funniest interview I’ve ever saw lol
@ZombieSlayer93 he straddle that fine line between prick and badass pretty well, leaves people wondering most of the time which side of the divide he resides, lol, he's great, wouldnt have him any other way, he's a rock icon....
@UrsineBenn I really dont see all the comparisons to Joy Division outside of Paul Banks' voice but i do see the cure comparisons.... Joy Division had more of an edgy punk element to their music to me.... Where Interpol is more melodically driven and more dance friendly than JD, a characteristic they share with the Cure...
Carlos especially and the other members of Interpol are on record as massive cure fans. Carlos said he used to burn incense and listen to the Cure as a teen, and he considers Disintegration the last great rock album
Carlos has here a bit of Brandon Flowers look, a real gentleman. I guess I would be crying all the gig along if there would be a Carnegie Hall gig with Interpol and Killers mixed playing each other's best songs: Carlos, Paul, Ronnie on the drums and Brandon singing with Paul and adding some spice of his keyboard Can you picture this?
Creating a bubble of awareness without boundaries, yet with a centrifugal force which might be envied of foundaries dealing with magnetic metal aflame, would seem not yet to be part of the range of powers displayed where Interpol be played, nor necessarily should it be; we shall see.
@alec9tap And i do consider them original just heavily influenced by the Cure and possibly new order more so than JD... people are just to hung up on JD because deep down inside people want Ian Curtis back lol... and they're always looking for a band/voice to fill his void
Their drummer said that Carlos never liked playing the bass and it wasn't his choice of instrument. But he's bloody damn good at playing it.
You hate him for the same reason you love him. Just unique. Long live Carlos bass lines and not only.
We love him .... and miss him.

his outfit is awesome
I come back to this interview and Carlos D interviews for inspiration every once in a while
the fact that this’s the only interview i saw of him being so polite and decent and not trying to be rude like he always does ..
I totally agree with you.

He toasted the interviewers brain.
His personality juxtaposes with the music so much........
As much as I miss Carlos in Interpol he totally seems like he would make a great actor/personality
Funny thing is he went to acting school after Interpol.
His acting reels are so fucking good, if he got cast as anyone in any film he'd stand out and carry it

The band's called Saybia. But I don't know the tracks, sorry...
