Thankyou so much. Appreciate it.
I like these things! Very cool.
Thanks so much
Hi mate I think your in the U.K. I'm in Australia, in our medievil club myself and brother use a staff sling we use tennis balls to train but lead sinkers when out with the long bows but the staff sling is devastating litterally when you see what damage it does to targets and we use a slightly thicker and longer staff but 1" round ball cheers top video.
Hi, I lived in the UK for 15 years, now live in Brisbane Australia. Yeah - I think a staff sling using a tennis ball would be fine for LARP or re-enactment.
The pouch for my staff sling is made from the scrotum of one of my vanquished enemies.
haha
You'll get good lobbage with that.
How accurate is this? Would weapons like these be better at hitting individual targets or as a group loosing a volley?
There are some depictions of this being used in naval warfare and seige warfare. But I have been able to lob quite large stones quite accuratly over maybe 60-80 meters.
@@Medieval_Mayhem Very nice 😎
@@Medieval_Mayhem Do you happen to have a TikTok?
How accurate can you get with these things,? This would be great for rabbits while i hike
Sure. With practice you can fairly easily hit a 50x50cm target from over 150 meters with a stone approx 5cm wide
I'll try to do more videos of shooting live ammunition next year, but access to suitable locations around where I live can be limited.
This is how you achieve the 505 meter throw and with heavy metal projectiles.
You cab definatly get long accurate range with these.
is thick hard enough you can whack with it and use as a melee weapon?
100% sure you could
Wondering what range you might get with a baseball?
No idea. With practice I'm sure you could easily get 40-60 yards.
are you aussie?
Yep. Well, lived in the UK for 15 years. But born in South Australia, lived all over.
yeah you sound like a convicts grandson in a good way. you could be an influential example for an english australian accent @@Medieval_Mayhem
